Have a new shot, from the Korean trailer no less:

Here's that trailer. A couple new scenes at the beginning and the rest is just recycled footage. I guess there is a big thing this coming Saturday so we might see more footage. Getting closer to release...

Donnie Yen on Star Wars Rogue One, yessss :) Hope he does the action directing too, as an action director / fight choreographer on his last several films, he was amazing :) Just to name a few, Killzone, Flashpoint, Kungfu Jungle and Ip Man series :D Ip Man 3 also coming in 2016.

(Paraphrased) plot synopsis for Rogue One:
Following the creation of the Galactic Empire, the Rogue One squadron - the last faction loyal to the Republic - launch a desperate last-ditch mission to steal the plans to the Death Star.
It sounds like one part Top Gun, one part Saving Private Ryan and one part Ocean's Eleven.

...Hmm? I thought Sammo Hung did action choreography on Flashpoint/Ip Man movies?

Anyway, I don't think we'l get an epic lightsaber fight in this movie, unfortunately.

I think Sammo Hung did the Ip man 2 :), but I always thought Donnie had input when working with Sammo Hung.

Last night I dreamed I saw The Force Awakens. It was easily the best Star Wars film yet, I highly recommend seeing it when it comes out in real life.

Prepare for the huge arrival of trailer one tomorrow (the previous previews are all considered to be teasers), followed by the onslaught of "old school" style promotion that starts after September 4th. That's also when this book comes out, filling in details between RotJ and TFA.

You won't be able to escape Star Wars for the next... well, ever. Because we'll only be having a brief pause after the theatrical release of TFA (which, btw, is going to lock out all IMAX and LIEMAX screens in the US), then comes the promotion for its video release in the spring and then another break before things go hectic for Rogue One's incoming. At the same time Episode 8 will be filming and even more discussion will grow from that. It's going to be Stah Wahs mania. Love it.

Really interesting that Finn is going to be wielding Luke's saber. So epic. Seem out of place to anyone though? There's a strangeness to that short clip, it'll probably make much more sense once the first trailer is out. But what I'm getting to is that Finn may just be using the lightsaber to summon something, either Luke or have something to do with the mysterious 'Knights of Ren' concept.

Does he have to be a Jedi? Maybe part of this new chapter of Star Wars is getting rid of the idea of Jedi being the only real good force warrior possible. The "awakening" part of the title could have a layered meaning. Perhaps the new films will introduce a different paradigm for good vs bad in SW. Abrahms did say that Kylo Ren isn't a Sith either, so maybe that backs up my idea here a bit. I just don't know, J.J. seems so backhanded in everything he's talking about at the same time. Maybe he is trying to stir things up as being more mysterious than they actually are and it'll come down to a good ol' Jedi vs Sith face off again.

I hope for something more interesting but realize just how weird it would be for a force user to be referred to as anything else but a Jedi. Marketing wouldn't like that idea much at all it seems either.

Is it weird that one of the things I am most eager about is finding out (potentially) why Kylo Ren's lightsaber is so unstable?

That poster has sparked a ton of speculation about Luke. Couple folks presenting some strong opinions that he'll appear & then, bam, cue credits and Star Wars theme music. Wouldn't surprise me, as I've read insider sources claiming he doesn't have quite the large role folks may be expecting. I'm buying my tickets today, regardless.

I don't like the way Rey's stick thing is at the same angle as the red lightsaber, looks kinda amateurish in layout. Her stick should have been about 20 degrees more horizontal in the picture then the whole thing would look balanced.

Other than that it's a typical SW poster and looks good.
