You can see his [Luke's] choice in his [Hamill's] costume. No Jedi would be caught dead wearing black. They actually preferred to wear tan or light brown. But I argue that Luke's turn started at first contact with Obi-Wan in The New Hope or even before. His method of choice in dealing with the Tusken raiders is proof enough (a blaster with a dead aim).Maybe he's missing because he's a Sith Lord now.

Probably not, but was an insteresting read/opinion. Had to watch end of "Return" again to see what he was talking about

Was it confirmed in the films that Yoda trained Qui-Gon? The only one I do remember Yoda train was Count Dokku, and he DID fall to the Dark Side. It appeared to me that Qui-Gon's calling him master was a reference to his rank, a Jedi Master, more than anything.Anyway, I blame all this on Yoda. He trained Qui-Gon. Qui-Gon disobeyed and Obj-Wan lost his Master. Obj-Wan in debt, took care of Anakin still under scrutiny by Yoda. Yoda had the to chance to stop it all in his meeting with Anakin. But, nope. Yoda let it play.

Has anyone ruled out the theory that Luke Skywalker may be dead? We know Mark Hamill is in the film, and there has been 1 picture shown of Mark in Jedi robes. But could he not now be the ghost vision to the new Jedi?
No. When Anikin and Obi-Wan died, their Force Ghosts were old. Though with Episode 8 featuring Vader, they are forced to cast their younger counterparts, though they might make them older by way of digital manipulation (the same tech that allowed Jeff Bridges to play CLU in TRON: Legacy even though he did appear in the film as Kevin Flynn [the part that he played in the original TRON.])I thought the ghost Jedi usually appeared as younger versions of themselves?
Luke was the last Jedi. As such, I believe we will see him train the next generation.
So, it's looking incredibly likely Rey is related to one of the OT characters, right? Considering the "waiting for my family" bit. Who is she crying over?
Edit: Super late edit because I've been watching reaction videos for this new trailer and have had a revelation: (do not read if you don't want to be spoiled!)
Makes sense. 👍I think it's Han and not Finn. It was widely speculated months ago that Han was getting killed off in a scene with Chewie, BB8, Rey and Finn when confronted by Kylo Ren in a forrest setting. He supposedly sacrifices himself to save them in a nod towards how Obi-Wan bowed out in A New Hope. Harrison Ford has openly stated that he didn't want anything to do with Star Wars anymore, but was persuaded to let them complete the Han/Leia story arc in this sequel.
Has it been shown or confirmed that Kylo Ren has anything to do with the Imperials? - or is it just assumed (maybe just by me) that he is?
I'm trying not to think about it.Anyone seen or read enough to take a shot at the story yet?
