Cool, any thoughts on the new layout? It seems like it loads a little faster but that could just be me. I'm just trying to make things a little more organized

Yeah it's nice and clear now. Any joy with accessing the vehicle for the one make races?

Another note whilst I am here... on my 'daily charts' page it shows under driver rating a peak of just over 15000, but I'm on 24000 currently?

@Robben You caught me. There was an issue with the speed that profiles and stats were being updated and I temporarily disabled that part until I could figure out what the issue was. I'm planning on getting that back up to date today though along with looking into the cars for one make races.

:)

Cool 👍 I only point things out for your info, in case you weren't aware.

Edit: do you think you could store some of the daily records data? I mean the qualifying times for the daily races. That would be cool to see

I had planned on eventually displaying a historical race summary table. Since track grip levels varies by weather conditions, the race summary would be organized by car category, track, and weather to show your best, the regional best, and world best lap times.

That would be cool. Since I don't log on at home (busy racing ;)) it would be good to look back the following day

That would be superb - great work mate

That is the total number of people that have a qualifying time for that race.

Last night I quali'd for race B, and the page said region total was 18000 or so, and world total was about 25000. Seems odd that EU region was >2/3 of world - any idea what's going on there?

Also, it would be sweet to see those totals before setting a time - they should be they same for everyone who's set a time, right? Not that it isn't all really cool already :D

Well, I think it's obvious... EU drivers are clearly far superior to US. :D:P

Edit: in seriousness, I guess it is due to time differences? So, evening here is middle of the day/afternoon in US so less users having set a lap time.

You're right, that does seem a little odd, I'll have to check on that and let you know what I find out. You make a good point about the totals, I'll work on adding those to the race summary so you can see those values ahead of time.

It could be the time difference but I'm guessing that there's a possibility I messed up the data collection somehow.

Regarding who is better, I suppose I could compile some stats to display the average qualifying time, by track and country. But I wouldn't want to start a war over GTS. :D

 👍

@jasguer another question for you... the 'Race Count' shows users having completed 400-424 races is just 472 - this seems really low?

It was quite late, so Asia would've been played out, but much of America might not have been into the evening I guess. EMEA is a big market for PD, but I didn't think it was that big!

It is huge, really.... Even just UK and France dwarfs USA, Brazil and Canada combined

Total Players by country
Country % of World Players Count

USA 14.0 500,300
Great Britain 12.1 431,200
France 10.3 366,400

Germany 10.1 359,300
Japan 7.3 259,500
Spain 5.9 210,500
Italy 5.6 198,400
Australia 3.3 116,400
Netherlands 2.8 98,000
Hong Kong 2.4 85,400
Canada 2.2 78,000
Belgium 2.2 79,600
Poland 1.7 61,400
Brazil 1.5 53,500
Portugal 1.5 52,300
Russia 1.3 45,400
Taiwan 1.2 44,400
Switzerland 1.1 39,600
Austria 1.0 34,300
Denmark 0.9 31,100
Sweden 0.8 29,700
Norway 0.8 28,500
Finland 0.8 30,100
Czechia 0.7 25,400
South Korea 0.7 24,500
Greece 0.7 26,600
Saudi Arabia 0.6 20,200

In fact, using the data above:

Total 3.3m
EMEA 2.1m
Americas: 631000
Asia/Oceania 530000

So, in fact... EMEA is 2/3 of the total

Unless the data that I'm getting is messed up somehow, i thought this chart (which is what I plan on publishing to the site at some point) is pretty interesting:

I just double checked and that's correct

Also, going by total player count:

Asia/Oceania: 734,809 - 16.598%
Europe: 2,801,844 - 63.290%
Americas: 890,362 - 20.112%

So, I'd say it's confirmed that EMEA is by far the largest market and probably as a result of having such a large player base, more competitive. I also wonder if that large player count contributes to the lag that you folks across the pond experience. Maybe it's just me but it seems to occur more often over there.

Very cool site, glad to see where I am at the moment! Within the top 50.000 of the world :odd: and within the top 1300 of the Netherlands, thank you fo all the effort in creating this!

Another post and I have a new favorite page, 'Track Records'. The fastest lap times, world wide by track, car category and weather conditions. Enjoy!

Very cool!

Edit: when did these records begin? Presumably this week as some circuits only have a record for one group?

Just a note: I can't update my PSN ID... I changed it to my friend's as I wanted to see his stats, but now it won't stay back as mine. It shows my data when I change it, but next time I log in it switches back again

Another subject... do you have access to 'total' clean races as opposed to just the streak?

I was just working on something like this myself using NodeJs and ExpressJs to create a API and later on a website/service. For now just to receive my dr and sr in a clean and fast way, later on to write out some other ideas. Then I was pointed to your website, again it already exists lol. Unfortunately written in aspx I see. After several years writing software in dotnet as a software engineer I will never go back again lol. Maybe some REST API using C# but that's that. Otherwise maybe I could help build some stuff :P

For now I am pretty pleased with the info that can be found. Great job! What I do see/sniff is a big security issue. You are posting my password as plain text using a http request. You should change that. Even on https it's a no go.

The track records start February 9th and will be updated going forward. Unfortunately, I don't have access to any of the qualifying times prior to this date and if you go back to far you get into the 'tire grip bug' era which skewed the qualifying times anyway so I'm fine with that being the start date.

I noticed that yesterday as well, except in my case, I changed my own PSN username to another persons and it kept reverting back to my original login. I'll see what I can do to fix that in a little bit.

Unfortunately, the max streak of clean races is the only info available. I wish there was the total number of clean races but it just isn't there.

Cool. All sounds good mate.

When do you think we might see our Qualifying history? Also, would this record my friend's data as opposed to mine at the moment or is the ranking accessed retrospectively?

I'm hoping to have that page built today but I'm also working on building two servers to hopefully improve the site performance. As far as qualifying times and other stats, in the majority of cases I'm not collecting the data from PD based on who is registered on the site, so you don't need to worry. Once I get the username update page back in working order you should be fine. There may be a delay of a few hours but that's about it.

Almost forgot:

Oh ok, so you are storing it all anyway? Good work :)

Yeah, I think you addressed this on Monday.. you had put a pause on it or something :)

Good news/bad news. Name changes are now more consistent, however, in order for the change to take place you'll need to log out after you update your name and log back in again. It's a pain, I know, but I'm looking for other options.
