I thought about resurrecting my Steam sale thread again but bah, can't be bothered, I'm not looking out for much any more. I do have a few things but I doubt any of them will be cheap enough. Take On Mars for £5, Splinter Cell: Blacklist for £7.50, Trackmanias at 75% off... There are a few others. The Skyrim GOTY has already proven to still be too expensive for me so I'm pretty sure everything else I might want will be too. I'm not desperate enough for any of it to make exceptions either.

It might be worth noting that Valve told their clients (those who sell their games on Steam) that prices in the Christmas sale will be the same, so there's no need to wait. Also if this is your first Steam sale, don't buy anything that isn't in the daily or flash featured sales as there's a risk it'll get cheaper before the end of the sale period; if there's anything you want, keep an eye out for it and if it doesn't come up cheaper before the end of the Christmas sale, it probably won't be cheaper until the next big sale in Spring. It could come up as a daily deal on it's own, though.

I went ahead and bought Skyrim Legendary. It's the lowest I've ever seen it so why not? Besides, I can sell off my PS3 Skyrim copy and gain back the expenses.

Splinter Cell would be cool but quite new still, didn't stop Tomb Raider though. Some others are on sale like Bioshock Infinite 50% off at £12.49. I'm in no rush for that.

I guess the Winter/Christmas sale is not far away, maybe some will be cheaper? I can never remember what was better in past years.

I'm intrigued about Trials Evolution Gold Edition but have read they messed up the PC version or something. Anyone know if its ok now?

Yes I think so too. It was something like £17 for Legendary. I remember because I bought the disc based game from amazon for £9.99 instead of the Steam sale as it never went to around £10 on multiple Steam sales that I checked. Amazon was also making a big deal beating Steam on the last one if I recall.

There was a leaked email from Valve that said the Christmas sale prices will be the same, and although there's no way of telling whether or not the email was genuine, an indie dev on another forum I frequent strongly hinted that it was real.

Somewhere, I think it's GMG, is selling SC:Blacklist for about £12, but that's too much for me. Bioshock Infinite was £6.something elsewhere not long ago too. As for Trials Evolution Gold, I heard it was the UI and some optimisation problems but the game itself is ok, there's a demo you can try though.

I check savygamer.co.uk and isthereanydeal.com before buying anything, they will alert you to whether or not there are better prices elsewhere on the internet.

By the way, if anyone wants Bioshock 1, I have a key for it from the Bioshock Triple Pack. I already have the first one. Just PM me for it.

Splnter Cell Blacklist £14.99
Castlevania Lords of Shadow - Ultimate Edition £6.79

Pretty tempted with Castlevania(5 hours left) but might just get it another time. I missed Max Payne 3 flash sale, it was only £2.99.

Test Drive: Ferrari Racing Legends is 2.99 until December 3rd guys.

Finally got around to buying the Dawnguard DLC for Skyrim. Pretty good actually, but even at 50% off, I still feel it's expensive. Don't think I'll buy anything else.

So far I've only picked up Max Payne 3 at the cheap price last night. I'm hoping for AC games to drop even more.

I went for Call of Juarez: Gunslinger and Chivalry: Medieval Warfare, I've heard good things about the former and the latter looks pretty funny, lots of people I know play it too. So much for me not buying anything...

TD:FRL, GFWL aside, is alright. I got it a while back when it was £5 and although I would've regretted paying more, I've had a fair bit of fun with the old F1 cars. The more modern stuff (I've only tried the F40 Competizione) doesn't feel right but the 125 S and the F1 car after that (might've been the 60's one) were fun.

Is it okay if I follow you into servers and try to kill you a lot?

Far Cry 3 is £4.99
Metro last light £8.49

Added Far Cry 3 to my collection

Flash sales look rubbish. Also PC version of NBA 2k14 is the PS3/360 version so wouldn't recommend buying

Edit: Also Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon is on sale £4.07
or Call of Juarez Gunslinger + Far Cry 3 - Blood Dragon for £9.99
By the way, Blood Dragon doesn't require Far Cry 3, its a standalone game

Brothers - A Tale of Two Sons is £5.99 (50% off)
I really like the look of this but might just leave it for another sale

Wow, that's not a bad deal.

Anyone play "Tomb Raider"? I'm thinking of getting it.

The most recent one by Crystal Dynamics? If it's that one, then definitely get it. The plot isn't world-class but I played it for the action, and there was quite a bit in there. I think Tomb Raider is comparable to Just Cause 2 in regards to the combat system, like in both games you can run-and-gun easily but that doesn't mean you're invulnerable.

Thanks, man I did get it... I did some quick research and it seems very much praised. :)

... and here I genuinely thought I wouldn't get anything on this sale. I'm fairly certain this'll be the only game I get.

That's a good price, I have the latest one and only played it a little, it's on ice at the moment but it seemed pretty sweet, quite linear though. I prefer the free-roaming aspects of the older games which makes that "collection" very nice indeed. Anniversary and Underworld are good games, and I love pretty much all the older ones too, not sure if they include the PC-only bonus levels on the very old ones though.

Yes sale is over. You can still get Tomb Raider at £5.99 and the collection for £8.99 for the next 14 hours.

My take on Tomb Raider is that its gameplay is like Uncharted but superior. Story wise and presentation in cut scenes/dialogue, Uncharted wins hands down.

For me I took the much better gameplay and the basic premise of a young Lara being thrown in the deep end and really enjoyed it. I overlook the janky cut scenes and banal story.

Yay, its Christmas sale time.

Assetto Corsa £22.49 25% off and much more in the OP.

I must say this console/pc section seems very quiet on gtplanet this year compared to previous years in general. Like a forgotten section now. :(

Assetto Corsa's very tempting for me. All of the gameplay videos for it looks amazing, but I want GT6 as well. Man, I'm gonna break the bank...

So far I've only picked up one game in this sale...couldn't resist getting myself the muchly raved about Papers Please. Have to say it's a lot of fun so far!

What games in this sale do you recommend? It has to be cheap and easy on the computer... I don't have a high end thing to play.
