Feeding some animals is ok whilst holding a baby, like ducks or hamsters for example, but they're great big massive crocodiles with big jaws!!

What a loonie, mate.

 What a moron.

"This kid has to grow up to be croc savvy,"

"I guess what I am doing is teaching him to be completely familiar with crocodiles . . . There's no way known I would ever endanger my child."

One thing you don't do is have a one-month-old baby 3 feet from a crocodile. Let alone anyone who isn't a trained professional.

Then after he did that he treated his kid like a doll like wtf. Anyone who does that should have his balls cut off and not allowed to have kids.

Why does the term "thinning the Gene pool come to mind"?

In all seriousness, these crocs are likely over fed so they can't move more than a few feet from where they are. So as dangerous as this was, it;s a high cahnce Mr. Irwin took a few precautions.

still...

Just like Michael Jackson should after the stunt with his baby, which is what I was driving at with the title

I think nobody should interfere into other people's actions, but you know, it always happens here in America. People suing other people's way of caring their own children, or living their life.

I bet the croc-hunter's daddy fed crocs holding him. Big deal. He knows what he's doing. But I really am waiting for that guy to get it one day. The odds are against him.

I would have never done anything like that with my kids. But, then again, I did buy them a new 4x4 style go cart for Christmas, and they can really clonk their head if they crash, so, I'll keep my mouth shut.

I'm thinking this just a big publicity stunt to try to draw attention to himself.

your right. why else would there be news cameras around. ive been to that australia zoo before and there werent any news camera around, just a ton of american tourists. big publicity stunt thats all it is

When the BSE (Mad Cow) crisis was at it's peak in England, I seem to recall a politician making his child eat a beefburger in front of the cameras on live TV to prove there was no danger. Not as dangerous as a twelve foot croc, I know, but sick nonetheless.

I also read, in a Bill Bryson book, that somebody covered their toddlers hand in honey in order to entice a bear so they could take a photo. Needless to say the said bear proceeded to chew off the toddlers hand. What a wonderful world we live in! :(

EDIT: Just reading through that article. People like Irwin make me laugh when they say things like this...

"I was in complete control of the crocodile. Robert was tucked right in my arm. It is far more dangerous to pack your kid up and go out on the road."

I find it very difficult to see how he was 'in complete control' of the crocodile. There were so many things that could've gone wrong there. And the bit about crossing the road is an overused and ridiculous statement to make. What he should've said is 'it's far more dangerous to put in a pair of ear plugs, cover your eyes with a blindfold and jump out into road on a busy day.' Tosser!

so what did the child actually learn, if a one month old baby can learn complex things such as being croc savvy....?

when hes 2 months old he'll know what to do if he's attacked by a 14 ft. croc.....oh yes...lie there and gurgle and goooo gooo goo gaa...that i'll scare the bad croc away.....its good to know we are teaching our kids the essential things to eqip them for life in a modern world...
