Stop the Pop-Ups!!

The only time, I heard about pop-ups is if you're not logged in. It's probably from another site.

If you logged in, the pop-ups go away. In other words making vistors of the site pay for the site. If you don't what this annoyance just sign in. 👍

...or from spyware/adware.

Go get AdAware and come back to us. Or, use Mozilla Firefox (which has a smarter pop-up blocker than Netscape's).

Pop-ups are only displayed to users not logged in to their account. You have to pay for the bills somehow.

I didn't realize I was signed out. For some reason, even though I have set GTP to "remember me" it still makes me log in every time I want to post. I haven't experienced the pop-up problem before today, so I thought it might have something to do with the recent site move or what not. I'll try the programs you all recommended, thanks a lot!

This is most likely because you have cookies disabled. Check out the Preferences dialog in Netscape to enable cookies.

I've been using netscape ever since spyware made IE go fubar on my comp, and it's been a great browser, I've found the pop up blocker to be excellent. And yes, I have got tons of anti-spyware software after my IE was virtually incapacitated (I used to rely on spybot, but now I use several programs).

And I think a thanks is in order for Jordan for sparing us registered users from the pop ups, blocker or no blocker.

Upgrade to SP2. IE has a new ad blocker and (gasp) it works!

Plus, download Spybot, Ad-aware, Spywareblaster, Hijackthis!, etc., etc., etc.

Even if you have cookies enable, if you clear them it won't have the remember cookie anymore.

It was this forum who introduced me to Firefox combined with adblock as an extension 👍

You will never ever go back to IE after this combination !

(and if you're not on XP as me, you will still be able to have a nice looking browser, cough ...smoke by aaron spuler... cough.) After all I spend my money on PS2/games instead on PC hardware....
