Gosh, no i have no idea at all ? the only thing that sometimes makes a difference like that is temperature ?Guys, can i share with you something about my problems "with physics" at Silverstone race?
During race I mostly thought that I’m just having a really bad day… But after watching replay, and after comparing performances from Monza race – THEN it became 100% sure that I had some kind of “grip loss” bug at Silverstone…
It’s not about complaining at all, and there’s no reason for that, because such things will always be NORMAL PART of online gaming of any kind, not just racing…
And it can really happen to anyone, you can’t choose this.
And for me this is the first time it ever happened so there’s even less reason for me to “complain”. (It may have happened but in less important, less competitive races, or whatever, when I couldn’t really judge my performance.)
So, I would just like to ask if anyone else has experienced something like that, or similar, how often and things like that?
Please share, maybe it can help in some way
When it comes to arguments in my case it’s like this:
1. Day before I was already doing Q stints (start on FULL fuel) of 1:54.4xx, but in the race WITH 25l LESS fuel I couldn’t get below 1:55.7xx – that is massive difference. And it’s not about failing to connect entire lap but all my split times, they were always that much slower all the time! And when it got wet effect was even worse I expect…
2. At Monza I had just 5bhp but over Tony and Chris, equal bhp with Sken, Niss, Agro… 20 less form others. But after I lost 30 seconds on first lap, then I matched or catched leaders all that time until forgetting to switch tires(METHOD was by simply rewinding replay, so it is a bit inaccurate BUT SAME method was for Silverston replay):
No. of fastest laps: 5
No. of top 3 laps: 12
No. of top 5 laps: 12
Second fastest lap of whole race by 0.1 of second (even though my first sector was 0.5 slower)
3. At Silverstone I had HUGE bhp advantage and I know both track equally… 29hbp over Tony, 18bhp over Chris, 14bhp over Agro, 9bhp over Sken…:
No. of fastest laps: ZERO! WITH HUGE BHP ADVANTAGE! And 1:54.4xx on full fuel day before
No. of top 3 laps: ZERO!
No. of top 5 laps: 9 (mostly barely)
It was all “grip loss” (straight speed was usual) I just could not take the LINES with same speed…
So instead of 1:54.4xx on full fuel stint, I went down to 1:55.7xx on 3/4 fuel stint… And in the wet less grip must have caused even bigger loss of time.
Any wisdom you can share?![]()
If you're setting weather when you practice it could be that affecting a difference come race day settings.Guys, can i share with you something about my problems "with physics" at Silverstone race?

Thanks, mate, but don't worry i was setting it on working weather, and doing practice races 👍
That is why a compared my performance at Monza and at Silverstone.
And why i pointed out diference of 1.2 sec. (and with 25l less fuel on top of that).
Ah, yes i remember Tony mentioning it, i also felt that on certain corners it was a little more slippery than usual, but i put it down to the temperature and weather settings. At Silverstone we actually had 55' of totally dry racing... So its not water, basicaly i had 2 stints were i used fresh RS tires on 3/4 fuel and couldn't get anywhere near times from practise in same condition (but on full fuel) - it was all about 1,2-1,5 seconds slower, either by sectors or whole lap...
But i'm not overly concerened, this is first time ever that i had this, or at least that i realised i had it.
That's why i'm asking if anyone else had anything similar. I remember that Tony on his first connetction to lobby said he had "0 grip"... Unfortunarely i had too much for me to be able to realize it right away.
