Yes, I have been having preliminary testing sessions in my lounge bi-nightly, but i think I'll be simulating the league races in these testing sessions, same track and PP as season races, just 10 to 15 laps(20 minutes or so) a race.

Yesterday i made revisions to scoring, and added the amount of laps that each race will be. Seems most races will be in the 45-50 minute range. Races # 10 & 20 will probably be an hour or a little more, but they are bonus and points will be doubled. Keyring 4.20(race #10, shared track) is a custom Toscana course, measuring 6.14 miles, with 53 medium-banked turns and a very high average speed. I encourage all SCRL racers to practice up on this very important race(track).

looks good earth, looking forward to this event. do i need to do anything else? oh by the way its me T.O.

Looks good T.O... Welcome to GTP. Awesome to have you in SCRL and on my team!👍

Next step for you and all perspective SCRL racers(besides practicing up on season races)is to show up to the preseason race(Tokyo R246) scheduled for next Friday, Dec. 2nd, 10 o'clock eastern... that will be the real test for connection & to gauge other fellow SCRL racers and pick a teammate.

If all spots(14) are not filled by the end of next weekend the beginning of season 1 may get pushed back one more week. Thanks again and see you on the track!:)

SCRL stands for Street Car Racing League. In other words, it's just the name of the league. ;)

SCRL is for serious racers, looking for a serious "Racing League", casual GT5 gamers need not apply(please read post #1 & #3).💡

I've had a few people(4 or 5) join, sign up and quit or i get no response to about the league. I mean it is better to back out now gracefully(thank you ace, jkt, psychoboy, MSTER), rather than to bail out mid-season! But please double-check time zone issues, dates of races, starting times(for your time zone) length of races, amount of races and make sure you are SERIOUS ABOUT being serious about joining Season 1 (& future seasons) of SCRL before posing as a contender.

December 9th is the planned start date for SCRL regular season, but if needed that date may get postponed to a later date to get the racing field set. Filling the roster of 16(or probably 14) SERIOUS Street Car Racing League racers is the only thing pushing back the season 1 start date at this time. I would guess that the 8 or so that are in now are serious, and would like the season to kickoff soon. Thanks for your interest in SCRL & looking forward to many great race nights!:)

:ouch::grumpy:

Unfortunetly, I won't be able to run in this series. Times are a little off for me. Wish I could do it.:guilty: Goodluck with the series..👍

oh and your welcome.

Hello Earthbound , I thought a-long and I think the timetable is too difficult for me, it means competing at 4 am with my family sleeping, and I do a lot of noise when I compete, also I'm sure i will not be present all friday , especially in December .. then reluctantly give up this time, hoping for an easier timetable next time .. It was a pleasure meeting you, if it's not a problem i would like to join your training until the competition will begin .. byeee

Yes sir Frankie! It's cool, I understand... The timetable is not really favorable for anywhere else except for the states, as I am starting to find out. I didn't do this on purpose, but I have to plan the races around my own schedule. I appreciate having you as a part of SCRL and you are welcome to participate in SCRL sanctioned events, such as the preliminary testings, practice races we'll be having, the preseason race & if you can make it, any regular season race you can join, I'll have a spot for you!👍

:idea:Maybe in future seasons I'll have you run and host the EU division & you can run the same races that we do(comparing best times & point totals), but you can have the races at whatever time is best for you!:) I WOULD LOVE TO EXPAND TO MULTIPLE DIVISIONS, ONE(or more) for North America, and another(few) for European countries and even one for Australia/China/Japan.

This first season is meant to be a test run of sorts, to see what works and hopefully gain a good group of followers from all over the world, providing a strong base for future seasons! Thank you very much friend & I will keep in touch! ;)

Hi Earthbound, I found out today that I would miss most of the December events and therefore guess it probably would be the best if you take me out of your primary roster. I really wish I could join SCRL and compete with you guys on a regular base but since the real life always comes first I can not make this commitment right now. However I could make it for some events and therefore you could keep me in the reserve if you would need some drivers to fill up some spots.

Sounds good Troylee... I will. Looks like my reserve drivers list is filling up faster than my Starting grid:scared:. lol. No hard feelings though friend, feel free to join any race you can make. Only problem i can foresee with that is that if the league fills up to 14, 15 or 16 regulars, and a reserve driver joins before a regular can take his own starting spot. In that case you will have to relinquish your starting spot to the regular.

I would love to do it bud.. but with me poking around for other jobs and all that i wouldn't really have the time i know you see me online but im just setting up races for B-Spec drivers to keep earning cash for in the game.

Thx for showing intrest Gloku, & Welcome to GTPlanet. G/L on the job search & hopefully you'll join next season!

You too BDA, welcome to GTP & SCRL! Glad to have you racing in SCRL.

SynSyx, very fast racer, longtime PSN friend... Someone would be smart to join you on team BMW. G/L to all teams!

Good testing session a few nights ago all qualified SCRL racers! I had up to 8 SCRL drivers in my lounge at one time, racing clean & hard. Already some great drivers in SCRL! Less than half a week until the Preseason race. 10 days until SCRL season 1 opener. Hope everyone is getting in good practice laps for the first two regular season races & figuring out which car(s) are fastest for them, for each race. 8)

On a side note, InSp3eCtOr & billsippi will be teammates, forming a formidable team. Just need a team name from them & i'll add it to the official "Teams" roster list.

Still looking for 2-6 more serious & good clean racers(1-3 more teams) for a complete SCRL season 1 starting roster list!

I've just been reading the OP again, and I saw that you will most likely be holding races on Friday and Saturday nights (your time). In that case, I should be there for every race.
Thanks!

Edit: This is if the season starts next week though.

Alright, 2 days until the preseason race... excitement is in the air. :)

jkt008 added you to the starting roster again. We are a go, season will begin December 9th with race #1(425pp @ Eiger) no matter what.

After this upcoming preseason race, you will want to find a teammate because I will be putting teams together shortly thereafter. It's up to you SynSyx which manufacturer you want to use as your team name. I ran a B-spec league earlier in the year and all teams were named after car manufacturers then. Me and SuperGreatBlak88 were on Team Audi.

Did a little planning ahead & it seems race #6 falls on Christmas night.. I'm not entirely sure whether or not to proceed with having it that night so I may arrange to have it later in the week or push all races back that fall after that date? I will ask around and see what is most popular. If people want to have it on Christmas night, then we will. I don't mind it personally. The race scheduled for December 24th, will still be Christmas Eve.

soj and nedra team lonestar will be there

Good stuff, added to the starting roster. Good luck to team lonestar and all SCRL teams and independent racers!

Tonight is only a warm up for the real thing but I will post results here as if it were a regular season race. I need practice at doing this too. lol

In today's practice session, there were a few great racers who were in the room and @ 523PP the best lap was a 1:42.9XX... very fast through the narrow streets of Tokyo R246. I expect to see quite a battle for the top spot tonight, with many very fast street car drivers in the league already!

See you all on the track and once again good luck to all SCRL participants!:)

With preseason races #1 & #2 in the books, there is one more preseason race to look forward to. Preseason race #3 will be at Circuit de la Sarthe, exact date unsure but it will either be tonight, tomorrow night or Wednesday night(10:00pm EST). PP for preseason race #3 will be set at 640pp. 👍

The first two SCRL preseason races were a battle from beginning to end(results will varify this)... Absolutely no runaways here. Mini battles going on throughout the race all over the track, and clean as a whistle(!). :) Try to duplicate that in an online lobby race, I dare you(it won't happen). I've participated in thousands of online races and those were two of the best, if not THE two best races I've ever been in, despite the low turnout. Scary thing is, these are ONLY preseason!!! Nothing on the line, yet still absolutely amazing racing on the asphalt. If those two races are any indication of the racing that will go on during SCRL regular season, BUCKLE UP! SCRL Season 1 is going to be EPIC & INTENSE!!

Results from the first two incredibly exciting preseason races are as follows:

Preseason Race #1... 523pp @ Tokyo R246, 20 laps:

1st: GTP_Earthbound, car: Amuse S2000 R1 '04,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Time: 35:12.046
2nd: n2000jnc,,,,,,,,,, car: Lexus LFA '10,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Gap: + 2.554
3rd: SynSyx,,,,,,,,,,,,, car: Lotus Evora '09,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Gap: + 27.948
4th: InSp3eCtOr,,,,,,, car: RUF 3400S '00,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Gap: + 57.756
5th: psychoboy_24,,, car: Subaru IMPREZA WRX spec C '05 Gap:+ 1:45.773
6th: Acedition333,,,,, car: Nissan Fairlady Z (Z34) '08,,,,,,,, Gap: + 2 laps
7th: Capt-Deathstroke, car: McLaren MP4-12C '10,,,,,,,,,,,, Gap: DC'd lap 13
*8th: Noc86... ERROR [749].. PD please fix!

Best Lap Record: 1:42.042, lap 13 by GTP_Earthbound/Amuse S2000 R1 '04.

Preseason Race #2... 469pp @ Cape Ring Periphery, 25 laps:

1st: GTP_Earthbound,,,, car: Audi TT 1.8T quattro '00,,,,,,,,, Time: 42:39.744
2nd: Troylee2601,,,,,,,,, car: BMW M3 '04,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Gap: + 1.988
3rd: CAPT-DEATHSTROKE, car: Audi TT 3.2 quattro '03,,,,,,,,, Gap: + 20.798
4th: SuperGreatBlak88,, car: Toyota FT-86 concept '09,,,,,,,, Gap: + 37.112
5th: SOJ_RUSS_VOICE,, car: Honda CIVIC TYPE R '08,,,,,,,,,,, Gap: + 43.054
6th: jw245732,,,,,,,,,,,,, car: BWM M3 CSL '03,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Gap: DC'd on lap 24 voluntarily, had a throttle issue. was still on the lead lap.

Best Lap Record: 1:37.064, lap 21 by GTP_Earthbound/Audi TT 1.8 quattro '00.

*worth noting that if it were a 24 lap race, there would have been a neck to neck finish, between myself(2 pitstops) and Troylee2601(1 pitstop).

As you see, both races came down to a battle on the very final lap between the fastest cars on the circuit. Amazing, clean, intense, well fought races. Looking forward to many, many great races in SCRL this season & in seasons to come!💡

Anyone want to join me for Team: Motorcity Motors?

Tonight, Preseason race #3, 640pp @ Circuit de La Sarthe, 15 laps... Be there or be square. It's your last chance to meet 'n greet, and to pick yourself a good teammate before the start of the regular season on Friday.

Good luck and hoping to see everyone on the track tonight and this weekend for the kickoff of SCRL season 1.

Preseason was basically a washout. Most that has shown up has been 8, out of the 20 + drivers registered. I'm doubting the seriousness of anyone missiing all 3 Preseason races.

Anyway, with only 6 racers on the starting grid last night, it felt pretty lonely driving down the chicaneless straight on La Sarthe. Race finished with 4 very sportsman-like racers. Results will be up later, just have to view the replay.

Most importantly the Season 1 opener is about a day & a half away & most SCRL racers have known about this race date for about two weeks. I fully expect to see most, if not all SCRL sign-ups to attempt to get into these races. It is what it is, but I'm really hoping for more turnout once the season really begins,. Considering the trouble i've went through to set up, organize, & maintain this league, SCRL sign-ups can fill their responsibilities & take the necessary step to obligate those two hours out of the week to show up & race. Thanks

Looking forward to tomorrow. If I can keep tires on my car I will be in better shape lol. Thank you for putting this together and I have seen an exceptional quantity of sportsmanship and skill in the other drivers. Very fun and appreciated.
