Subaru plans to show us what the next Impreza could look like. I see its and bits of the VGT in this concept, of course the sharp angles are gone but the silhouette is still there imo

For the love of flat fours, let it be 3-door hatch or 2-door coupe..

Subaru is like the catfish of the automotive industry. You fall in love with the Concept then the production model comes around and you're like "Eh".

Didn't we just have the new Impreza ? It feels like it's too soon.

The fourth-gen Impreza has been around since 2011 so if the fifth-gen comes out next year, it will still have a longer life cycle than the third-gen.

The WRX/WRX STI on the other hand just came out last year so I can't imagine a new model based on the new Impreza, maybe just a facelift will do.

This makes sense. God the standard model is bland. Can't believe it and the WRX are related.

 It was like with the BRZ concept, looked amazing... final BRZ... I am disappoint.

Looks like a Hyundai Veloster... Not a bad thing though.

Kinda bummed out when I heard there would be no wagon version of the WRX/STI for the current model. I thought the Impreza sport would look nice if given the beefed up threatment

Yeah this new WRX would also look quite good as a wagon. It's a shame Subaru didn't take that route. :indiff:

As the owner of a 2011 STI Hatchback I really hope they don't release a hatch until I've already sold mine. :trouble:

As for the concept above...
Looks more like an SUV than a hatchback impreza. :yuck:

When you do sell it...I suggest selling it in Vermont. It's the state car. :p

But because the awesomeness of the car...I'd keep it forever.

Believe it or not, selling it down here in the deep south gives it a better value. So few of them around that they are typically selling above NADA values. Dealerships, personal sales, even auctions are seeing prices higher than what I would have expected.

Huh...well glad it's a good market down there. 👍 I only suggested it since people get desperate for rust free cars from the south. Course maybe it's better if the beauty stays where it doesn't get to -30. :scared:

With the WRX wagon due out now, guess they're gearing everyone for want to expect.

Possibility for the WRX wagon to be one gen ahead?

It's badged the Levorg down here. In my eyes, it looks better than the sedan. Online pre-orders(well, pre-pre orders) start now. I haven't followed much of Subaru since I left them. So, I don't know if they'll be limited by volume or if these are special models like that electric blue STI.

Subaru will unveil a Impreza sedan concept at the LA auto show.

/notsurprised

Remember the concept wrx a few years back, it looked like a low slung two door sports car, came around as a run of the mill sedan (with a huge spoiler).

They haven't got the courage, but then again, their US sales are that strong relative to the company's size that they probably don't want to rock the boat in a big market.

Why would they bother showing off a concept when the production prototype(?) car is already alive on the streets?

Looks fairly nice, though I think if they turned the bottom grille upside-down they can give it a more aggressive look. It looks kinda high as it is.

I think its attractive, and certainly a continuation of their current language that's been successful so far.

If I have one request for Subaru, it's to fix the clutch engagement and the crazy throws on 2-3, and 4-5 on the manual box. I didn't like feeling like I was driving a pickup in something size of a Corolla.
