suddenly slow?

since the new seasonal event my gt5 has become very slow, loading takes forever all of a sudden and im curious if its happened to anyone else.
sorry if this is on the wrong section but im just concerned is all

Yes. Happened to me. Just reset it, let it rest, clear your cache and you will be fine

Nah. Its usual. Just go with it^^ if you still have the slows, try deleting some gamesaves from older games, also the games itself(s).

Just to let you know i had no problems like this till one of the last updates, just afte the PSN hack. Before that update i never got stuck in menus or had game freezes at all, after the patch i instantly started getting lots of freezes and have so many friends experience exactly the same things since that patch that it can not be a coincidence.

I've had this issue from the very first update. Takes about 3 minutes now to load. i have it installed on my hard drive, and clearing the cache makes no difference at all. This is an issue for many, and it seems quite random.

It's not normal. Many are having hang-ups at various screens. I'm currently at 10 minutes trying exit an online lobby; it's at the point where it's not worth waiting any longer and quicker to just exit the game and not worry about exp/credits earned online. All of the issues have shown up after the 1.10 update.

I have the hangups too; black screens + freezes when I come out of a online lobby.

Yep it was definatly after one of the updates (ill take your word on 1.10 ) I myself started getting these freezes after one of the last updates as did far too many of my friends as i said earlier to be a coincidence.

Again and again PD seem to care about the strangest things more than the things that are needed, i.e. fix these freezes/fix compatibility issues between players/fix the audio cuts etc. etc. etc. before bothering to work on race suits and helmets...........im not even going to get into all the other things missing from the game content, theres plenty of threads about that. But I really have a hard time getting my head around thier descions, it truly makes no sense to me.

Mine takes a good 10 minutes just to get to the main screen. Every click of the cursour has about a 1 minute delay as well. Mine has also started freezing the PS3 in the menu requiring me to actually pull the plug (and no, pushing the power button until it beeps doesn't shut it off in this case and the ps button on the controller doesn't function). Disc is brand new. Reloading the game, restoring the file system, using different saves etc. doesn't change things. It's kind of ridiculous, but by the time I get to actually get to race, it's actually been a good 20-30 minutes of waiting for all the loading times. Fun game but REALLY bad programming if you ask me. It's too bad because it's getting to the point where I just won't play it anymore.

Its a real shame that people such as yourself have such a bad time with these freezes that your going to stop playing GT5. So many people complain about GT5 (myself included) but having to wait 30 minutes for it to simply load up is ridiculous

I was having same issues. Read about improved performnce, quicker loading and fewer freezes if you play without the 8 g game install. I couldn't believe it was possible considering gt5 annoys you perform install. Raced online for 3 hours last night and it couldn't have gone better.

My problem wasn't GT5, it was my hard drive dying (only 7 months old too). I put in a new 500gb drive and GT5 is a lot faster now. Guess I owe Polyphony an apology. lol.

Sometimes it's the internet connection. This was a welcomed option at the start, but since the Seasonals require it, it cannot be used. I see the big difference when I'm connected and when I'm not.

Well thats interesting because mine tends to just stop when im on the seasonal events menu and when im online so maybe it is an internet thing. because that connects the coming out of online lobbies etc.
iv just had two weeks away so it may have pulled itself together now (he said with great anticipation)
