That would be kind of fun for a change, but I think all of us old guys would not be happy about racing Mr. P  (although most of the pros are older anyway)

Hey everyone, Hey Boom, sorry I have been gone, had a memory card fry on me so for the past two to three weeks I was getting back into the game and to a point where I am able to participate back in this.

Well I guess here is my suggestion. I like the budget cap idea we are currently racing. Keep with that.

From the winners, say the top three or four of each class that wins should not be allowed to use the weight reductiuon they used for that race. The next race they must use one below, so if race x wins 1st place this week and used weight reduction 2, next week he could only use weight reduction number 1. This might even out the field for those that can't keep up. I think it would be interesting to continue with this budget cap idea too. :D

Ok, this whole race by credit thing is good, I like it. But how about evening the competition and have an all for

one type deal. Give the Pros less money then the Amatuers and Beginners, and give the Amatuers less then te Beginners get.

money then the beginners. Say for example this week.
Pros get 125,000cr and then the Amatuers get like

150,000 and then the beginners get 175,000cr. That is just an example and it might tip everything in the

advantage for the beginners because they can probably max out the car. To counter that, put a horsepower

restriction of no more then say 504hp for a RX 7 RZ.
Possiblely you even choice the acceptable cars Boom.

edit -> I would enjoy to see a Silvia S13 -> S15 battle in this nature

What about a displacement cap? Say engines no larger than 2.0 Litres and increase the credit cap to 150,000? Lots of cars to choose from that are still really fast that have a 2.0 L displacement or less.

Edit: Not a miata challenge? :odd:

I am totally against it then, with the discrimination of a Miata  j/k yeah A displacement cap is an awesome idea. There are a ton of 2.0 cars out there, may even see a FF car in the bunch :odd:

PRIZE CAR

prize car please... thats all I ask.

These competitions with all bought cars are killing my money in the game.

I need to race a prize car and win the races to get it.

I suggest we look into a.... hmmm.... skyline... thats it.

We still havent done a skyline and there are a couple of skyline prize cars... soooo....

What do you say.

Its just a suggestion, you could take any part of it into consideration and I would be happy.

Thanks,

Instead of a prize limit, how unfair would it be, without a credit limit but, with a power to weight ratio limit ?... Suggesting something like 3 to 1 for a start...

how about the battle of Sport compact cars, or muscle cars, or Japanesse versus European or European versus American. Going back to GT2 should give us all a good idea of possible races. Might I suggest a Lancer VI RS by any chance too :D

How about a race in the Calibra Touring Car? Or have you used it already?.

Mabye a combined race with very different handling cars on the same track (e.g. Calibra TC + Acura RSX), both cars times added in the sub. times.

/D

I would join TORC10 but I cant sign up in the forums since I use hotmail and yahoo (We have had problems with our pay email and were never able to use it). Sounds fun though...

I just thought I'd share a few of my ideas for the Weekly races...

Stock Shelby Cobra on Simulation Tires, 3 laps on Leguna or Cote "Slipperly Snake"

Cheapest Miata no mods, hot lap on Grand Valley "Poor mans Valley"

Any understeering car, on a tight track, No steering wheels allowed "Finger Pains"

here's a rather limited suggestion; have the Oreca Viper and the C5R Corvette race. maybe on Laguna Seca. It'd be a good show...

maybe instead of chooding a car each week, you could give people a Make or model to choose from...like a skyline race, the year model/type is up to the racer. or a fwd honda race, racer chooses the specific model. This is all under the assumption that nobody is using "race-bred" vehicles. whaddya think?

Okay I'm not registered in this as of yet (going to give the quali a go later on) but this is what I think.

Budget Caps. This is a pretty fun way to set up a race but getting the car sorted to get the best performance out of it within the budget will take a lot of time fiddling around in the tune shop.

P/W ratio again has the same problem as the budget caps lot of time spent in the tune shop....but it creates the posibility drivers running lots of different cars for a particular race.

Personally I'd set a P/W ratio for the whole weekly race thang of around 2.0 - 2.5 then once a driver has a car they could race it at what ever race they liked with the driver changing it when the got fed up with it. (each driver could be asked to enter a FF, FR, 4WD car that they will use for the weekly race. The the type of drivetrain along with the P/W ratio could be used to add a bit of variety not to mention limiting parts each week suspension chassis, transmission)

It could run different P/W ratio's for the pros, ams & beginners this may get people wanting to work up the ranks to be able to use faster cars.

Tyres, run with some lower grip tyres, normal or sports or t2's and of course add in a bit of tyre wear here and there (sport tyres are a good way of forcing a driver to pit in a ten lap race but have around the same grip as a t2, I've been trying this out with a mine's skyline in the race of the red emblem where sport tyres force me to pit on lap 5)

Vary the race length's / types, hotlaps/races that involve the AI with closely matched cars/sprints (standing start to T1, T2, T3)

Displacement caps a good one...I've been thinking about a 2 litre long race series for a while now....although it does cut off some of the better cars in the game.

anyway enough of my bull**** ;)

I haven't even bothered registering yet, but...

I like the idea of a set power/weight ratio. Playing around with tuning can be fun.

One thing that turns me off a little is just racing on an empty track against the clock. I'd like to suggest running specific events in sim mode with a lot of restrictions. For example, these could be events:

Event: Pro Race of Red Emblem at Tokyo R246
Car: Skyline GT-R Vspec II (R34)
Restrictions: 675 HP beginner, 600 HP amateur, 525 HP pro

Event: Amateur GT All Stars at Laguna Seca
Car: Raybrig NSX or Arta NSX
Restructions: NA 2 beginner, NA 1 amateur, totally stock pro

Or, you could have events determined by who can beat the AI with the fewest upgrades. For example, you have to use the Speedster in the Pro Spider & Roadster at Grand Valley. Everybody posts money spent, lists all the parts they bought, and gives their total time. The winner is the one who spent the least amount of money, and total time is used for tiebreakers. That would be fun because you'd be forcing yourself to fight with the AI.

Think about it. This would be a lot more fun for most people. I'd love to compete online, but running laps in Free Run mode just to see how good a time I can get is not something that would interest me for long enough to even learn the car. Trying an event with different upgrades and fighting with the AI is fun, though. You buy some stuff, do a few laps, see how it goes, reload, etc. It gives you something to do besides running laps in a set car ad nauseum.

hehehe, you could try an Escudo challenge:
Car: Maxed out Escudo
Track: Tahiti Maze
That might be a bit of a handle full, an all power rally car on a twisty circuit. I think it might be interesting to see, although I wouldn't be able to enter, cos I'm too crap and would keep hitting the walls!

How about Tom's X540 at Apricot Hill (Arcade->Free Run).

Suspension, Drivetrain and Tyres unlimited - engine limited to NA tune up stage 1 and all other engine upgrades allowed.

I would like to suggest something as well.

As not all of us has completed the game 100%, and won all 4 different cars in a series, maybe just include cars in the weekly race series that you can either buy directly, or only cars that you can win (the races without random chosen cars) ?

Just a suggestion, use it, don't use it haha.

how about having players put times up against an opposing player.....like tournament style. might change up the competition a little,

Let's have a race at Laguna, I mean, really any car with a base of at least 290 bhp will do fine (faster cars are preferable, but 290 is OK)

That sounds good. How about a stock RUF 3400s, with only drivetrain and supension (i.e. no engine) upgrades?💡

Spoon or Mugen S2000, no mods, Cote d'Azur "Spooning" or "Buzzing Bliss"

I just won both of these so i just thought i would add my 2 cents
