Should we all turn off our mics before race start?

Sure are a lot of RX-7's. Are they clearly better than the other GT300 cars?

Not that I've ever noticed, most of the GT300 cars are very evenly matched. Maybe these guys have found something...hmmm. :sly:
 
I think it's kind of tuned out of the box for good grip. Having said that it will be interesting to see who tunes it to beat the others.

I prefer the RX-7 just because it sounds like a coffe grinder when ideling and a super salad shooter when wound up!

Yeah, not sure I wanna listen to that cacaphony for 45 minutes straight. Doesn't pierce the eardrums quite like the Mazdas in the Rolex Series-yikes!

First time I went to a Rolex race I could believe how loud the Mazdas were compared to throw rest of the field

I ran a couple 1:37's in testing at 355hp but averaged low1:38's. Mid 1:31's at 502hp with the GT500 cars but need to do some tweeking to my GT-R before Friday

I'll be practicing all week so feel free to jump in my lounge

I'm getting low 1:36's in the GT300 cars and high 1:31's in my GT500. I just can't seem to find the speed in the GT500. :nervous:
 
I've been trying out almost all the GT300's except for the MR2 and Silvia. What grip these cars have! Still undecided on car choice-might ditch the RX just to mix up the field. I'm digging the Garaiya but I'm not that consistent w/ it.

Just need to find something that fits my driving style...(I really don't have a driving style, just always wanted to say that.)

The Silvia I was refering to was the C West Nissan Silvia S15 S.
The RM Silvia is not a GT300 car.

We are sticking with the GT300 cars on the list. I think that pretty much covers the catagory.

BTW Scorpion you were not there last week we are doing the qualifing and the race start differently so please be sure to read the original post on the first page of this thread for the rules

Aww you mean I'm going to miss ramming Phil Loco for moving low on me at Daytona. Yes. That's King Official.
 
Just as a reminder the race is tonight. I'll open the lounge at 8:30pm est. Qualifing begins at 9pm with the GT300 cars taking to the track first followed by GT500. All cars will quallify at the same time. GT300 cars are not permitted to leave the track and return to the tuning menu. We will run 30 laps with 1 parade lap to facillitate a rolling start. We will line up single file in the order that you qualified in, with the GT500 cars first. Please try to keep 3 car lenghts between you and the car in front. I will call the start as the leader nears the start /finish line. passing is not permitted until after the start /finish line.

This worked out real well last week, with 14 participants, and was a very fun clean race. Lets try and dupilicate that again tonight.

I will again award the winner of each class a level 22 car ticket.

See you all tonight! JT you will be missed, but I'll take your share of side salad

Glad you like. Its a little bit dark but then again we were racing at night in an empty city...
