chameleon orange. from the TVR dealership. Yeah it is dropped to it's lowest and you can't really notice it but it has heavy negative camber hint hint lol.

For qualify. Is it a short race and grid is set fastest to slowest or independent runs and we line up?

when the lounge opens at 5:30 for practice we all drive to get the fastest lap. When the race starts at 6:30 the race is set to fastest to slowest. So you have about an hour to try and get the fastest lap.
 
thanks for handling the question for me ryce_bouy. I was having an intense firefight on crysis 2 that required my full attention LOL. Chameleon orange? I got to get that paint chip. Looks like i'm buying a tvr in the immediate future LOL.

Should be a fun race tonight. I will jump on closer to 9:30 pm EST, hopefully not too late to join.

Thinking about running a 1-stop strategy. Tires wear out, but only about 2 seconds per lap, unlike Monza where the tire wear affected laptime more.

Thanks again for another great race, DJ. But you and I have to pick up our pace. Altho it still is really fun, no matter the results.
 
On lap 9 or 10, last turn I got loose and crashed into an automatic pit. I hit the wall at pit entry and I got sucked in. Bad move for me. I did however make the biggest plume of tire smoke I ever saw in the game. It covered the whole width of the track. There was someone behind me who drove right through it, must have looked cool.
 
i cant believe I missed the starting of this! I was playing assassins creed and didnt think to check the time till it was waaay to late lol

At the start I lead the race and was at a decent 1:20 pace. Road rash was second until he ran off on lap 2. After that I was trying to manage the pace to Godangit but he was fast and passed me at the start of lap 7. On lap 8 I got the lead back at the second to last corner. On lap 9 Godangit got rig behind me again at the last corner but got his rear wheels on the grass and spun. That was when Allinwitjt spun into the pits. Haha.

Roadrash, cheeseburger and Godangit had good battles from lap 8. I pitted on lap 18 and came put in 3rd after roadrash and Godangit. Then I was trying to go as fast as I could because roadrash pitted later and had fresher tires. Lapped traffic made it more exciting too.

The last 10 laps was real fun. Roadrash was closing in every lap and i really had to concentrate. At lap 35 roadrash passed me at the end of straight but he lost the backend at turn 1 and I sort of helped him not lose control. Haha. Last lap I took a defensive line into turn 1. Roadrash almost got by near the mountain and then would have if he had not ran wide at the last turn.

The practice laps helped a lot to not make as many mistakes. Greyfox was a second faster. Thanks to Roadrash for clean driving too. Would have been easy to give a little nudge.

Yeah i know i missed out on a good race, but how can i say no to a bachelor party. Really wanted to race though because i love the car chosen for the race and the track. I was pulling some fast time in practice 1:18.8xx was my fastest time with 1:19.xxx my average time. I think i could of had a podium position, and i would of gone with a one pit strategy. I'll be there for the next race. And i think the points race just got a little bit harder for me but i like a good challenge.

Might as well vote for next weeks race and i go with 500pp challenge at Special Stage Route 5. A night race will be fun.

We start at 18:00 and have 1 or 2 daylight laps, and then end at night.
 
Okay this is how voting shook out:

Track:

  • Cape Ring 3 votes (Ryce_bouy, roadrash, & Godangit)
  • SS Route 5 1 vote (Grayfox32)
  • Circuit de la Sarthe 1 vote (Brettcee)

So the track will be Cape Ring.

Voting for the theme was tougher but here is how it shook out:

  • LMP1 3 votes (Ryce_bouy, Scorpion, breetcee)
  • LMGT 4 votes (Scorpion, roadrash, godangit, breetcee)
  • GT500/300 2 votes (Roadrash, Xonant)
  • 500 PP Challenge 2 votes (Roadrash, Xonant AKA Amirzen)

We had multiple suggestions so I counted the multiple votes. Looks like it will be LM cars this week. I will have all the updated info and regulations posted by this afternoon. Thanks for voting and don't forget to vote on the other two events.

Also @Snoopy: I will add your suggestion to the voting. It will be going up against the Viper vs Vette theme. Great suggestion BTW.

What are the LMGT cars? I am not familiar, could someone post a link to a list of those cars? I searched and did not find anything.

Yeah I know I would love to do them both as well but we only have 3 races left. This race plus two that are still to be voted on. Would you like your suggestion to be matched up against the Vintage Muscle Car instead?

I plan on taking a short break, maybe one or two weeks and then starting up season 2. In the meantime I would love to hear suggestions from everybody. I'm thinking of maybe deciding the ten tracks ahead of time and then letting people vote on themes that would fit the track. IDK, i feel like the way we are doing it now works okay but could use a little refining.

I'll go ahead and match your suggestion up against the vintage cars right now.

Oh and as for cars i am a big fan of the oreca vipers. there are more LM cars out there I just don't know what they are. I also had trouble looking them up online. The PP limit will be 640 BTW.
