I've seen some time at 2:18. I ran 2:20 offline with my Fairlady, and about 2:25 online. The only way I can be competitive is if I keep my pace and run a 1-stop race, but with tire wear, that is unlikely to happen. For sure if I can make it I will race.

By the way, everyone should clear cache and update to 1.09 before jumping online.

It's going to be a 2:25-2:26 race for me. 2 stops for sure. The online physics at this track really causes cars to throw the rear end.

Best I could manage was a 2:26, my average was 2:28-2:30. I'm just hoping to place better than the last place I got at Green Forest:dopey:

hey guys I really wanted to be in this race tonight and I don't think I can make it. I came down with the cold last night and I feel like ****e at the moment. I know you guys will have a blast!

Well guys I know I just joined last week so I hate not showing up to this, but Thursday isn't the best day for me. I could only make it for about the first half of the race. I'll defintely be participating if you have it on Friday again next week, had a blast during the Deep Forest event.

races do return to friday next week guys. I hope we have a good turnout, despite the fact that i had hardly any seat time LOL

WHEW!!! What a race! Now that is a big course! Congrats to roadrash for the win!!! I'll work on the points, race results and pics first thing tomorrow. Thanks for coming out guys!

That was fun. Scorpion was all connection glitch and took a bunch of racers out. It seemed to stop at lap 3. Scorpion were you on a Bluetooth? I heard that can make a car glitch.

Thanks for another fun race DJ. We getting some fast drivers in this league. I need to practice more and cut down on the spins. But it's always fun, regardless of finish.

That was a tough race. No place on the course to relax for a bit. Congrats to Roadrash and Godangit. They were fast.

I ended up stopping at lap 12 (probably 1 lap too late) and ran a one-stop race. Was pretty lonely out there and humbling when I set my fastest lap and the deficit was increasing! I set my Fairlady online if anyone wants to take her out for a spin. You have to adjust PP because I maxed out everything.

DJ, for next week, I think for the sake of clarity, perhaps we should list the cars eligible?

Edit: I vote to use sport soft tires next week. Racing slicks are too sticky for these cars.

That was a crazy race, that was only my second online race ever. I thought I had a shot at a mid pack finish, I got taken out by a glitching vette in the first turn but managed to stay in 7th for few laps then dropped down to 9th where I stayed for the rest of the race.

St1sj I'd like to try your car because I was using the same the car.

I think my problem is lack of smoothness - I slam the brakes at every turn, floor the accel to the next turn, my tires were hosed by lap 3. Also, are most of you using manual?

Did some testing last night for next weeks race. We tried 550pp and 650-1200kg. The cars really lacked at 550 pp so my vote is for 650hp-1200kg at Road Course Indy. As for tires I have to disagree with Snoopykuan, I think it will be to much power for sport softs and people will be spinning, so I'm voting Racing softs.... the more grip the better!

Yes. Racing softs and more power. Daytona Road Course may be fun as well.
What's the car list we can choose from?

Brett, I will send you a friend request so you can borrow the car. I am also going to detune it back to what we ran last night. On a smooth track like Cape Ring, I like the run a real stiff setup, just like how I prefer my martinis. My best time last night was 2:23 I think.

As for smoothness, I try to be smooth, but I have noticed other fast drivers to be more aggressive turning in. If you watch some of Stune's (name?) tutorial videos you will see how much he turns in.

I vote that Roadrash uses sport soft while we all use racing soft! Just joking. It is good to race with faster guys, although I still prefer to blame it on my car/setup/wheel/beer.

How about racing hard then?

Cool thanks.

If anybody wants to add my secondary account - brettcee2 - I run automatic remote races from this account. The software grabs a random selection of 16 drivers from your shared b-spec drivers. I usually set it up to run from midnight pacific time until 8 or 9pm the next day. Easy money for doing nothing.

My vote is for Road Course Indy. Do you think we can lock this in today, so we can start practice this weekend?

Okay guys I just got done posting the race recap, race results and total points standings. You can find that update here:
http://supertunercar.webs.com/apps/blog/show/6652737-season-1-race-8-results
Pics will be up shortly as well hopefully. I lost my thumb drive but i uploaded all my pics to picasa and am trying to think of a quick way to load them to the super tuner car website.

As for next weeks race it looks like we are definitely going to do Viper vs Corvette. I will post your suggestions to the voting forum on our website. I will go ahead and close voting by 9PM Pacific time tonight and have the regulations up by tomorrow morning for that race.

Thanks to all that came out, it was a really tough race but I had a lot of fun yet again.

UPDATE: Pics are up! Didn't take to many this time. Wanted to get them up faster.

Just a suggestion but maybe a track that is able to go from day to evening would be fun as well. I'm not sure which tracks do this btw.

La Sarthe does it. You can choose to cancel rain so it just goes to night then back to day. 20 laps should show a whole cycle if accelerated and the race is set to start about 4 to 6 fake time I think. Lap times there are around 3:25's with 800hp LMP's. Vipers and Vettes about the same times I hear with high hp.
