I tried to gold a few of the licenses but I could not muster the patience. I have hardly played. Suppose to be another week before PSN is back up...

My wife's been wonder why I have all this extra free time for doing stuff around the house all of a sudden and going to bed early

Oh, man, I don't like the sound of that. Things are getting serious. C'mon Sony, get it in gear!

Well guys the outage is supposed to be over soon. Hope everybody is doing well. I hope interest is still high in this group. It sucks that we went from a great 15 car race to two weeks of nothing. I haven't practiced or played GT5 hardly at all this whole time. I tried to grind a bit but I get lazy. I started a huge project to categorize or list the different cars in GT5 for online racing. What has everybody else been up to?

Just got GTA IV last night. It has a lot more offline playability than GT5 and my other main game, Black Ops. I was going to buy it anyway but the outage just expedited it.

I tried the grind A spec dream championship once last week, with the Nissan 350Z LM car (my Fairlady is trapped online). At Nuburgring, it rained, and it took me over 30 minutes to finish that race! I have not played since then...

It always rains for me in that race too....sad because thats my favorite A spec series

I took the opportunity to do some b-spec grinding, got to lvl40 now and completed the nurburgring 24Hr, just have the same race to do a-spec and the game will be completed all gold (assuming I win that race) :sly:

only one trophy remains after that and I need about 80 more cars in my garage for that and then the platinum trophy will be mine :D

Hopefully PSN will be back this week. Should be fun to relearn La Sarthe again. Hopefully when PSN is back, there will not be any lag.

that reminds me, are we going to try a public lobby? I can start the lobby and post the room number here. I'm just worried about randoms jumping in. I really love the convenience of using my lounge but I am a little concerned with the lag we had last time.

It seemed to smooth out over the course of the race but then again races can be lost on the first lap if you wreck bad enough.

I thought we were going to try turning the mics to low quality and see if that works

There it is! I knew we were going to make some kind of adjustment but this dang psn outage has got me all messed up.

I know, I actually took my GT5 disc out, I think it's been in the PS3 exclusively for like 5-6 months

I know the schedule is up in the air due to Sony's problems, but I'm going to be out of town this Friday and I'm going to be working the Friday after that. So, it looks like I will miss a race for the first time. Damn.

I've played a little F1 2010 during the lull. Despite a couple annoying bugs, I think its a great game. Have any of you guys given it a try ?

Played GT5 finally. Found a good test. In the Professional series, the Gran Turismo World Championship, the first race is la Sarthe. Good race for some competition and credits.

My M5 is terrible and I need to relearn braking points.

I tried my hand at the special challenges I haven't completed yet (Both Sebastian challenges) and failed miserably. I'm tired of grinding the American Championship for money so i'm down to around 1 million since I was bored and bought all kinds of cars I didn't need.

I would try to finish crysis 2 but I keep jonesing for a good race. I just have more fun in my lounge tinkering with my suspension and gear ratios than blasting aliens.

I may have to postpone the start of season 2 if PSN doesn't go up soon as well. I wonder if we will have lots of new seasonal events when we get back online.

After a few tries, I got first place in the GT World Championship with the M5 at sports soft and 550 PP. I tried la Sarthe at Dream Car and came in last every time. I think it is possible to get 6th or 7th if I can run 3 perfect laps. Those LM cars are fast in the turns.

I sent out an email blast to members of our website. For those of you who race in this series but are not yet a member to the site here is the (very short) email.

The PSN outage is still going strong so I just wanted to inform you that all future events are postponed indefinitely until further notice. I apologize for any inconvenience and hope to see everybody back when the outage is finally fixed.

Bummer. I am sure Sony is working as hard as they can, and I look forward to racing online when the network is back up.

Man, Shift 2 came out with another DLC pack and this one is actually very interesting. What interests me most though is the drag racing. Its gonna have 8 player head on drag racing which i think is really cool.

I know Shift 2 may never be as refined as GT5 or have as many cars but it is starting to look appealing with the things that it does have. If GT5 had drag racing and livery editors I would be set for life.

Anyway check out this article and the video to see more about the new DLC:

Designing different liveries is one of the best parts of Forza. It really sets everyone apart when racing online. We made our own team logos, striping and paint schemes. Other races alwas knew they were behind Team OGR!
