DJ, too bad you could not join us. Had a good session with some strays too.

Re penalties, I think we should run with no penalties like we have been at every race. The penalties at this track deters shortcuts but only a little bit. With strong penalties, there is too much collision penalties and stuff. Up to you, but that's what I experienced tonight.

I'm really starting to hate this track...LOL ...for reals though! This track is banned for season 2. What does roadrash have to say about the penalties? I normally am against them so it makes no difference to me. I think we can count on everybody to race correctly.
 
The penalties are very inconsistant. They don't seem to stop track cutting where they should. Keep it the way we've been doing it and discourage cutting the track before the race. We watched someone cut the track last night only to crash out at the end of the straight. Most people that cut the track are trying to make up for lack of.....????? Also remember to keep the weather fixed at sunny or else we probably will get wet...no fun on worn tires and heavy cars
 
This is sad....DJ if we can't race tomorrow night may I suggest postponing until next Friday as people might have plans for Easter weekend. I don't mind waiting a week.

I think that's a good idea. I'm dealing with a small family emergency ATM (4yr old fell on her face and knocked some teeth loose) so I will update when I get home.
 
OK I have modified the OP to reflect the postponement of this weeks event. The question now is when to hold the event. I really don't want to wait all the way till next friday to hold the event but as roadrash has mentioned this weekend is not feasible due to the holiday.

Would a weekday work for everybody? Let me know.

On a side not, had a chance to get gold on the NASCAR challenge. Took me about 6 weeks...

DJ, with PSN still down as of Sunday night, maybe we should have leave the race date/time open for now. Depending on when PSN gets back up, it will give people some heads up?

I could use some practice as I have not played GT5 since the PSN outage...

I was going to do some b spec grinding but all my drivers are on strike.

Lol I have All but 1 bob offline so enduros are out for me as well. I agree with your assessment as well. I have not had any practice time either so unfortunately the event will be postponed indefinitely.

You can do an endurance race with just one b spec driver if you use the x2010 and your bob is at a high level. I was going to retire one of my guy (Montoya) but I can't even do that....
 
I'm an average driver interested in joining this league, looks like I'm just in time for a season 2 start, will use the season 1 final as a warmup if thats ok?

I'm from England but so long as the race doesn't start much later than it is currently scheduled I should be ok to join most weeks around 00:00GMT
 
It should be fine. Last time we had 15 racers show up so I can't guarantee a spot but we've never had the full 16 field so chances are you'll be able to jump in.

Anyway, I'm sure we have all gotten the email from Sony and know that the network will be down for awhile. In the meantime I highly suggest you visit the leagues site and leave some suggestions for season 2 races. Season 2 will be another 10 race season and the more suggestions up for voting the better. The first two events have been pre-scheduled but aside from that I would love to hear what you guys want to race.

For those of you who don't know, the first event will be a 430PP FF event using cars that have 4 cylinder engines. Check here for info.

The second event of season 2 will be a 500PP Race Modified challenge featuring race modifed cars. For more info click here.

We will be running an endurance race (at least 2 hours) for race 5 but the theme of the event is up in the air and the remaining 7 race themes are up for grabs as well so go ahead and leave your suggestions. If you prefer you can leave your suggestion on this thread and i'll copy/paste it to the appropriate forum.

DJ, I think I posted some suggestions already here, and would like to add one more. A one-make race with the stock Alfa Romeo Giulia TZ2 with racing hards at Rome.

The TZ2 is a great car to drive stock, and while I know it is expensive, it is a prize car.
 
Yeah I remember that you did, I will look for them and copy/paste them into the appropriate forum on our site. I'm not sure I have the TZ2 but if its available in the NCD then it should be no problem for us to get. (just gotta grind a bit LOL)


EDIT: CHECK THAT!!! 10,000,000 credits!!! WOW! I've never came close to that many credits LOL. How do you win it?

Honda/Acura NSX v Ferrari [TBD] (not sure which one, need to make sure evenly matched)
Honda designed to NSX to be a Ferrari beater, and succeed in many ways to make the Ferraris we have today more driveable and reliable

Nissan GT-R v RUF CTR2 (closest thing to a 911 Turbo)

Lexus IS-F v BMW M3

sprint races (a series of 10 lap races with reverse grid order)

DJ, you can win the Alfa TZ2 at the A spec historic racing series.
 
I have done the A spec historic races with golds and did not receive that car. I am going to complete the b spec version and see if that helps. BTW I have added your suggestions to the leagues site. Regarding the Ferrari vs NSX I think the NSX was intended to compete with the 360 Modena. I think the F430 '06 would be the closest to the Modena. the problem is the PP. At 540PP from the NCD it is significantly better than the NSX. I think capping the PP at 550PP would be good. The Ferrari would be virtually stock but the NSX's could be upgraded enough to compete.
 
Maybe it was the B spec then, cannot remember how I got the TZ2. I usually run B spec dream championship to grind for credits, but since my drivers are on strike I am running out of credits too. Ha.

RE NSX v F430, how about the NSX RM v F430? Would the PP be closer? I am at work and not in PS3, so I am just talking out of my butt.
