Just watched replay. The succession of slow turns on this track does not suit my driving style of understeers in/overseers out. haha.

A the start I plowed into roadrash who hit ryce buoy . That spun me into the wall and I was in 9th. At the start of lap 2 I was behind godangit and fenderburn. They were crazy at the hairpin.

Lap 5 was fun as I joined a 3 way battle with fenderburn and scorpion. All 3 of us crashed At the exit of last corner. Lap 7 I passed DJ and his tires were cooked. Ater that it was mostly pit stop passes.

Had some fun with Logan at the end because he was on old tires and I was on new tires. Some of us are easier on the tires. That made a big difference. By the way I set my car to share in case anyone wants to look at my setup.

Fun race.

Hahahaha I am taking pics right now and I'm cracking up over that 3 way crash you guys got into on lap 5. It looked like scorpion spun first, i'm not to sure but man was that funny.

It really was a fun race (despite my performance) and my thanks go out to all the participated. I'll be busy taking pics most the day. I'll hopefully get the results and lap times posted soon but I have a busy weekend.

Don't forget to vote on next weeks event!

Haha yeah. I think scorpion spun and then fender spun right after at the exit. I was too close to fender and could not get out of the way. Fender bumped into me which led me to t bone scorpion. With so much smoke I could not see anything.

I liked the race length and the number of pit stops.

yeah i think 25 laps worked out perfect for that track and tire combo. Also having 10 guys who were really trying to race clean was awesome. I feel like once I really get the hang of the wheel I'll be running a lot faster. i'm looking forward to how this season plays out in the total points.

Yeah the one hour race was awesome. Took some endurance and pit stop planning. I forgot to save the replay :-( is there anyway to send it to the XMB and could email me it?

I'm going to try to save it on one of those upload sites when I have a chance but its looking like i'm gonna be pretty busy this weekend...

yeah that is fine bro no problem. Just let me know when you upload it. I think this is one race that I wanna save for myself.

last night I was practicing in your track and I was disconected from the server , I tried to enter again and cant enter , I dont know what happened

Yeah I seen that you were having trouble staying in the lounge. To be honest I have no clue what went wrong. Madwi also had trouble getting in but aside from you two we had no other issues at all. We didn't even have the slightest bit of lag from what I can tell.

I'm sorry you guys had trouble getting in though.

as for file sharing i think i'm going to try out dropbox. It seems like an easy way to share files with the league.

i don't think i'll be able to post the lap times after all. I thought they would show up at the end of the race but they don't.

Oh BTW I have also set my car to share if anybody is curious.

would you like one of these?

Nissan GT-R SpecV
(GT Academy Version) '09

The Academy Version would be great! Thanks, Ryce Bouy. Sending the Lexus now.

DJ, thanks for running another really fun race. Now, if we could only get faster and catch a glimpse of those top 3. I thought 25 laps was fun also, but my pit strategy was way off. After some testing, I thought I would need 3 stops. But, my tire wear wasn't as bad during the race and I got by w/ 2. I pitted on laps 9 and 15??? Not good. The only thing that accomplished, was confusing ( rightfully so) ol' Snoopykuan till he blew by me.

I think you can see fastest lap times for each driver during replay, if you click on their names. don't know about total times.

I was looking forward to running with you guys. I have NAT2 and it said It was incompatable with the host [706]. I usually dont have any trouble even with UK lounges. Hopefully I can get it sorted and run with you guys again.
Just out of curiosity what kind of lap times did you guys run? I was practicing in my lounge and ran about 2:01.7ish laps.

The fastest lap I got not in the race was a 1.58.112. My qualifying lap was 1:58.2 something. With my tire wear at it's worse I was getting around 2:03 approx, once I stayed on the racing line.

ok sounds good. I am running a b-spec race atm I will send you the gtr academy version later tonight. I think the race finishes in the next two hours or so.

i can't remember but what car did you drive logan?

Madwi, the top 3 guys all dipped below 1:59. I was 4th and best lap was 2:01. Worn tires added about 3 to 5 seconds per lap.

Logan had a lancer I believe. I followed him for a whole lap and that was quite fun trying to stay behind without hitting Logan. It is very exciting to have people on different tire strategies.

DJ, guys in the Monday NIght Endurance race use this website for the replay. http://www.mediafire.com/?rai31ut20chrfui I think people still have to download the file and play on PS3 because the save file is not a movie file.

My fast lap was 2.01ish but I averaged around 2.04ish. I will check out media fire when I get home. Currently drinking and partying lol. Btw I had a great time yesterday. I think I found a really cool group of racers

Do you faster guys use any aids? Ive been trying to use MT and no aids except abs 1. Ive been finding I need the driving line to get some sort of visual reference for braking (although downshifting and using the brakes is no where near what the driving line says lol).
I use a wheel and trying to figure out the proper footwork for pedals has been a nightmare. I find myself falling into the same routine for every corner. I try to focus on entry/exit speed and when to turn in...but I follow the same patterns lol. Any suggestions?

I use MT and the only Aid I use is ABS 1. Never used the driving line it distracts too much.

My advice is learn the track and learn it well. A good setup on a car doesn't matter if you don't know the track. Learn it inside out. You should be able to close your eyes and visualize driving a car through each turn and braking at the correct breaking points. That is how it is for me. Braking points are very crucial. They make the difference between winning and losing. If you brake properly you will get the maximum speed out of the corner, if you don't it only adds time to your lap. So forget the driving line and learn the track. I don't know about the other guys but for my steering wheel and pedals, I driving it like any other car, with one foot (unless there is a clutch of course). One for the accelerator and when I need to brake, I step off the gas and onto the brake. And well steering? Steering plays into you knowing the track and knowing your braking points etc. You also need to figure out the maximum speed you can take the corner at and it what gear and how much throttle you need etc, this also depends on the aids you use and your type of tyres. Any questions, just ask.

I haven't had a chance to drive it yet, but that car looks like fun Ryce Buoy. I was in a black '09 evo x. I ran a 2:00.6 in my lounge right before the race, but couldn't match that in qualy or the race. I think I try too hard when I get in Dj's lounge. I've been using the driving line, but I think its good advice to get rid of it. I think you end up driving "the line", instead of the track. When I was playing F1 2010, I phased out the line and my times got quicker. I use my left foot for braking. Madwi, don't be too intimidated by Ryce Bouy's times. He's one of the really quick guys. You should be right there w/ the rest of us. Hope to see you and coolracer next week.

it is a tonne of fun I would imagine. I have never driven it myself lol as you see the mileage it zero haha. Yeah I start to panic and adrenaline start to flow everytime i get into the lounge lol. You are right about the driving line, it is very distracting, it does more harm to me than good. it does give you an idea of where to brake and what line to follow through a corner. Maybe that will help when you are learning a track but as long as you have the basics of racing (i.e. that is what the license tests are there for) you will be fine. Is there an '09 evo x in the game?

Madwi and coolracer I too hope you guys can come out next race as well. We had a really good turn out this time around and it was a blast. We are slowly growing as a group, I love it! Seems like just yesterday DJ was in the gran turismo seres forum on the playstation website looking for people.

You're right, Ryce Bouy. It was an '07. I could have used a 2015 model. I'm curious, how much tuning do you do? I'm just starting to play around with it. I have a hard time determining whether improvements are due to setups or simply learning the track better.

lol @ 2015.

I actually do alot. For this particular race it took me about two nights or so to get the right setup (suspension wise). Then once I sorted that out I directed my attention to the track. It is so bad, I can tell you what gear I took every corner and at what speed. I tried both evo and impreza and the impreza was the quickest (for me anyways). once i figured that out I bought three impreza's and each of them had different settings, the car I used had the best wear and time. They play hand in hand both tuning and knowing the track.

Okay guys race results are up!!! You can find them here in the first 3 posts or head over to the Race Results and Standings page on our website to check them out!

Also pictures are up of the event so go check them out and leave some comments. Voting for this weeks race is over but we forgot to vote on a track so head over to the voting forum and vote on a track. I will keep voting open till tonight.
