Aw, shucks. Thanks for the encouraging words, guys. I did have a bunch of fun banging with the Big Boyz, if just for a while. But lets not forget, I finished 7th and 5th. And the Mazda is fine ride and Laguna is my best track. Its probably downhill from here. If I only had more time for practice, anything would be possible. I might even finish 6th and 4th! Eh, probably not the 4th.

Keep your chin up, Scorp. You'll find more speed. You always do.

Man, is that JT fella back. I can't imagine handling pressure like that, at Laguna. All I can say is WOW.👍
Oh, and JT is probably setting up his G27 right about now. There should be a slight adjustment period. The first day, I hated mine. The second day, I loved it. With women, its usually the opposite.

Well things are improving slightly I got the Alpha down from the high 2:05's to the low 2:00's

although now I cannot seem to be able to break the 2 min wall / barrier

Sell one of your children, the money will more than cover the cost of a G27. And If they really love you they will find their way back home anyway.

Scorpion, I've been using a DFGT for years. For an entry level wheel it's great. Done a couple mods to get some brake feel. Never had an issue being slow with it.

I seriously want the clubsport set. But they are way too expensive. The BMW wheel looks freaking nice! Also having a brake pedal that vibrates would be awesome.

Race 1 Pics!

Privateer GTP_mike with Pole Position

JT cutting onto the dirt with an aggressive start to the race

Jt gives a small bump to BK as he makes a good pass on turn 5/Lap 2

MazdaSpeed

Things getting really tight, really quick at the top of the world famous corkscrew

brett overshoots the corkscrew allowing scorpion and dj to pass/Lap 2

Tight turn

JT gets a faster run up the Rahal Straight than mike and passes him for the lead as they barrel into the corkscrew/Lap3

Japanese cars at war

Racing was extremely close at Laguna Seca, sometimes too close!

BK wins a drag race up the Rahal Straight against Mike to move into 2nd/L4

Logan makes the pass on Red up the straight as well/L5

BK cuts through the beginning of the Andretti hairpin as he passes mike for 3rd. Things get overly physical and it looks like BK concedes the spot. Red Robin takes advantage to pass them both/L12

Mike loses control on the Rainey curve and BK capitalizes and moves past him. Envy passes mike up as well. Disastrous for mike!/L14

RR gets a little desperate and overshoots his brake zone and ends up going wide into the Andretti Hairpin/L16

dj, nice job. Those pictures really captured the race. The middle of the pack had some tight battles taking place for the majority of the race. Think i exhaled twice that race. Once during my pit stop and again at the checker flag!

Would just like to share a picture of the all new Atlanta Motorsports Park. Looks like a very technical track with some crazy elevation changes. Check the center right of the picture and you'll notice a world class kart track that is nearly complete.

Maybe one day it will make it into a game.

Nice, wish there was a track near me. They're currently fighting noise regulations at Atlanta Motorsports Park. They had to cancel the first race which was scheduled for later in the year. The kart track is said to be one of the best in the world. If only PD would add it to the game. Not like there are any real life kart tracks for us to race on or is there? lol

Hey! Old guys can drive fast, too. The problem is if we drive fast for too long, we can't remember the way home.

Laguna = fave track + some practice + good car = ok times

Motegi = worst track + a bit of practice + good car = slow times. At least, I should make it home ok.

Race 2 @ Laguna Seca pics!!!

JT, by virtue of winning the first race, gets pole position and looks to dominate once again.

This is where the heart starts pounding in anticipation and your hands twitch on the steering wheel

The entire field racing around the Andretti Hairpin,

-brettcee starts fast quickly passing Scorpion and I in one awesome maneuver to move up two spots and then follows that up with another great pass on logan on turn 5/L1

JT with his hands full down the Corkscrew. The other racers are gunning for him!

-BK goes off track heading downhill and Envy capitalizes by passing him on turn 11/L3

-Logan gets his revenge on brett and passes him on the Andretti Hairpin/L5

-RR gets a little to close to JT which slows him down enough for redrobin, who narrowly avoids hitting him, to pass him heading down the straight to turn 1/L6

Things getting a little hairy down the Corkscrew with RR and RR battling it out!

-BK with a nice pass on Envy on turn 5. Envy is also passed by mike going into turn 6 at the tail end of the straight/L9

-Mike wins the drag race down the front straight against bk to move up into 4th/L10

I was hot on Scorpions tail....buuuut

I fold under pressure and DISASTER!

Rare mistake by Roadrash as he loses control BIG TIME and loses multiple positions. What a heartbreaker.

RedRobin putting the pressure on JT

-Red passes JT for first but can't hold on to the lead/L15

-BK takes a bad line down the infamous corkscrew and loses control. falling out of 4th and ending up at 7th. The Corkscrew claims another victim!/L16

-In the end, no one could match JT and his ready for war Camaro as he takes the win again!

Congrats JT for the two victories and congrats to the other podium finishers!

This season, I think we are all in for one hell of a ride.
