On share now is a fun Toscano track. Kinda like the one for the Silvia GTA seasonal, high speed with a short twisty section. Download it, make it a favorite then you can run it in Arcade. I like it in an early evening time frame.

Also a car to go with it. A tuned Caterham Fireblade. Stock power. I'm loving this car for hot laps lately. Really, really fun and fast! Great cockpit view.

Edit: Put up a different track that's more challenging. Touge!

I've been gone on vacation for the last 2 weeks. Racked up just over 2,200 miles driving my family around California (wife on Facebook/iPhone the whole time, kids fighting over which movie they were going to watch for the 10th time), temperatures where topping out at 115° for a lot of the time - stopped at one gas station for a bathroom break and the air that was blowing out of one of those hand dryers was cooler than the outside air! - but driving home Saturday night all I could think about was getting on GT5. It looks like I'm way behind, hope to get some time in today.

Wow, sounds like a great family vacation. :-)

Btw, the fast lap at Laguna is mid 1:27's. Unfortunately it wasn't set by a BMW.

Sorry I missed you. I got off around 5:15. I finally got up to your time. Ran a 1:27.666. Turns out the problem wasn't the setup it was the driver.

I guess I'll be running mid pack in this one. I'm going for the safe set up to keep from spinning or going off. Fastest I can do is low 28's

I ended up running a 1.27.5xx with your lounge setup. Was happy till i noticed it wasn't set to the real setting lol.

Let me know if anyone feels like running some sprints tonight at around 9:00 est

Got sidetracked this afternoon so tonight sounds good. I'll be on earlier though.
 
Running those longer sprints last night showed me I shouldn't be doing that. I paid for it afterward and today it's hard to work. Guess the added intensity puts too much pressure on those tendons. Felt fine running hot laps but after 4-5 laps racing it's too much.

It sucks but I better just take it easy for a while longer. Worse is I've got the RX8 dialed in real nice-really like the car. Ran a 1:27.60x while loosing traction on the last turn. There's more there I'm sure with practice. Oh well.

edit-Back from Doctor. Tendons redamaged. 4 more weeks PT. No long video sessions. Rest, rest then more rest. grrr.

I need to take a break after STC also. Popped a tendon in February and the game makes it worse. Need at last 4 weeks off.

1st wreck dude gets knocked out and his head ends up outside of the roll cage area. Not good.

Second one. Strange how the car seems to go faster as it hits the fence. Watch it again and imagine if it was on course. You wouldn't think twice about it going abnormally fast.

Both men walked away from the first, the second one the throttle was stuck wide open.
 
Holy smokes. Both of those crashes were insane. I respect those guys that challenge Pikes Peak. No way in hell i'd have the balls to give that a shot.

Nope, both walked away from crash, co-drive had dislocated shoulder.
 
I may have missed it. Has there been clarification on mandatory pits? Are they mandatory? What are the plans for the line up of the #2 heat?

Last I heard was 1 mandatory stop and race 2 starting order based on previous race. But this is unofficial. DJ has the call.

Sorry guys, just been busy at work.

We are going to have 1 mandatory pit stop. Pit lanes are closed for the first two laps and on the final lap. I will be reviewing pit stops when I watch the race replay and marking the lap everyone did theirs.

Damage will be set to light.

Race two will be based on the previous race. I was toying with doing a reverse order grid but in the end I decided against it. I don't want the fast guys to get impatient and do something overly aggressive so I won't put them in that position.
