Setting car up for DRC is like a science experiment , seems like the Mazda is best with as little wing as possible , I think I'll be slow on the infield but quick on the Oval. Times of 1.49's should be possible . I wonder how fast the good handling cars will be once the get good set ups ?

Check this out Build for ~ 1000 $ on tomshardware

Cut out the SSD (SSD = Solid state drive, instead of a disc hard drive its like a giant flash drive that loads almost instantly. Boot time from off to internet less than 15 seconds) and the 400$ graphics card (needed really for 3 screens max not 1) and your under 800$ for a pc running iRacing, pCARS, BF3 ect ect at 1920 x 1080 .

Also newegg & amazon have deals weekly so shopping smart gets you to ~ 700 $.

But yes I'm getting a pc , but probably after Xmas . It will offer us new cool cars and tracks.

So what your saying is, after Sebring, Spa , Le Mans ( the only race everyone cares about), then Silverstone finally at Sao Paulo Toyota out qualified and beat Audi.

I don't know, but the F1 2012 demo is real fun.
 
Had a great weekend at VIR. The Muscle Milk P1 car set an all time lap record surpassing a F1's time. It's stupid fast, it looked like a RedBull X compared to the others. Lots of action in GT. Amazing cars on display too. New Ferraris, Astons etc...plus a nice turn out of vintage Porsches, Vettes and Ferraris.

We were sitting next to Sean Johnston's parents while he scorched the competition in the IMSA Porsche GT3 Spec races. He was the first runner up in last years USA GTAcademy. Man, he was fast! No one could keep pace, he lapped several cars in both 45 minute races.

Met several other console racers there. We swapped GT5 battle stories while the real guys were on track, lol! Beautiful weather and a great place to see a road race.

I had one 49 and the rest are 50's. 180mph at start finish line.

My best was 50.1 my average is about 51-52. Top speed is the same 180.

Sounds like a great time! I recorded the race and am currently watching it. VIR looks great! I've never really noticed the elevation changes. Looks like a fun track!

Sound like a good weekend. ALLin and I are going to Infineon Raceway for the FIA WTCC, should be a good one with a doubleheader, 2 - 30 minute sprints.

Just gave this a go. First time trying out an F1 game. Not a huge fan of sim racing with F1's. But had a lot of fun. The AI is miles ahead of the AI in GT5. Was nice to see caution flags in a race for a change. The penalty system seems fair and ahead of GT5.

I might pick this up depending on the price. I may wait till it drops down to $40. Assuming that shouldn't take long in the States as i doubt sales around here are that high for F1. Should make for a fun offline racing experience. Does anyone know if the races are the full length of the actual F1 races? That would be cool!
 
^ You can pick 3 laps 10% 20% 40% 50% or 100% race distance, unless it has changed from 2011.

F1 is great , career mode is very fun. I vote we all buy 2011 , and run a series . I call mclaren ! Jensen s not Lewis .

Or we just buy the F1 in GT5 and all drive Ferrari's. Think I'd end up going camping.
