Yes great job on this series DJ. Getting a win with this group and the closeness of the cars will be a hard fought victory.

Thanks rash. BTW, do I have the start and race times correct? Somehow 9:30EST looked late to begin qualifying but I may be wrong. Its been awhile for me you know.

Yes. I open the lounge at 9. I then go and open the public lobby at 9:30. We usually split up the group for qualifying. Depending on the length of the track usually two or three groups. 1 warm up and 2 or 3 hot laps. Then the next group goes. After all qualify, we give Envy the times to put in his time machine. We exit the track and i reset it. Envy gives the qualifying order and we enter the track and line up in order. The race start is at 10pm.

Got it. Thanks

Oh boy. Is it time for those late night bleary eyed practice sessions already? Sneaking in a couple (10) laps on lunch hour? Running sprints till my arm and shoulder beg for night of bad TV? Tuning, tuning and more tuning. Wew.

A better question should be can anyone end the STC reign of R0ADRASH? He's been the Michael Phelps of STC-a savvy veteran who always keeps the brash young bucks at bay. Hey, at least I didn't compare you to Misty May-Treanor!

I'm thinking my rein will come to an end this season. It's time for a new "buck" to take over the crown. I will fight hard to defend the title, but the end is near.

You never know. You may find a way to keep that title. Which would be very impressive considering the competition.

In this series are we still doing like 3 laps only for qualifying or just everyone gets to qualifying for 20 mins at the same time?

I kind of think as qualifying as "bring it" time. Either you make the cut or you don't in 3 laps. I don't believe that qualifying should be a warm up to the race kind of thing. When I used to race BMX there was an hour track time before moto's started. Moto's started and you would sometimes have to wait 45 minutes before your 45 second race was up. Then no track time between your other 2 to 5 moto's, again 45 minutes in between. Sure you could keep your legs warm in the parking lot but there is no acclimation period on track to find out how you "feel" that day. Show up and go. Throw up or win. Harsh but true.

This is what winning looks like when your a jerk like me. You sit down right before the finish line and look back at the busters you dusted.

I have to agree with the 3 hot lap rule. Moves things along quicker, frees up the track when only small groups are out.

Every race series qualifies all at once, excluding &*#@@#$ nascar. That's what track position is all about.

What I don't like about 20 minutes of qualifying is, someone can run laps for 18 minutes and burn off fuel to get a better lap time. I say go out do three and done.

I wasn't going to say anything. Just do that exact thing like everyone else. Ha.

Ive had that done to me by none other than scorpion! We will continue the 3 hot lap qualifying session, for the first race.

For the second race i was toying with the idea of going reverse winning order. What say you???

Either that or finishing order. Either way is fine by me. Makes the second race more interesting

Gotta make the fast guys work for it!

I have no problem with that. But things can get ugly really quick. Once 1 fast guy gets by the rest will be in panic mode considering the short race distance.

Hmmm. I didn't consider that. Maybe not such a good idea in a points race.

What series did we flip-flop starting grid? DTM?

We never did it for a points race. I think we did it in on of the OGR series when we were running short sprints and loser was picking track. DTM we used finishing order for the next race

How long are the races? It may be fun but maybe damage should be on high.

I did a vintage race that did 3 races per session. 1st race based on qualifying. 2nd reverse grid from race 1 finish. 3rd based on the 2nd race finishing order. Add up the points. Most everyone behaved-don't know about this bunch though!

Team MoonShine Racing has finished the build on the Daytona car. Plans for track testing are scheduled for the upcoming week.

After careful review of race tapes from Wednesday's test session team Litter Box Jewel Racing has denied driver E46Envy's request for additional funding for a DRC paint job. Team management is currently in contract review to decide if they will support E46Envy in his bid for the STC championship.
