Let's make it exciting....random starting grid both races and no qualifying. (Nope, I'm not serious)

LOL i think thats how PD really wants it to be since they never fixed the grid.

Anyways I just got done practicing online and I am way behind pace. Also got my ass handed to me by to very poor racers. One in a GT40 and the other in a NSX Type R. Hope tomorrows race goes over better for me.

You got to stay out of those public lobbies. Bad news.

In the OP the race date is wrong, it says Wednesday August 16th.

Going to be on tomorrow before the race to actually try to dial in my cars set up.

Finally fixed it!

And yes, those public lobbies are a pain. As soon as I saw that dude in a GT40 i had flashbacks of last seasons STC opener and I knew I was in trouble...

I'm out tonight. MRI now scheduled. May be a torn tendon. Online racing career in serious jeopardy! You guys have fun. Go Team Mazda!

Very sorry to hear that. Hopefully it goes well for you.

In light of the fact that some of you are pulling ridiculously fast laps I am introducing this caveat to this and future races:

If the first race goes faster than assumed we will extend the 2nd race accordingly.

Also, we're gonna miss you ncr but focus on getting better.

ncr, rest. You will feel better for it down the line. I propose 9 weeks. Sounds crappy but true. I tore a thumb once. 5 months. Knee 3 months. Shoulder 2 months. My elbow is screwed right now, I'll take some time off the game after STC. Crappy but necessary.

Qualifying from 8/15/12

Thanks guys for a great season opener! Congrats to JT for the victories. Thanks go out to rash and envy, you guys do a great job. Thanks to brettcee and scorpion as well for making the race fun and interesting for me!

Also, sorry for being late. We tried to bridge the internet connection to get faster speeds but ended up having to reset the modem and the apple thingie. I was around 13 megs though.

I'll be reviewing film tomorrow and hopefully have the standings up in 48 hours.

Nice job last night JT.

Mike, sorry for the slight door bang heading into the corkscrew of race 1. I knew you were on the outside, just thought there was more room. It really narrows out quickly at the crest of the hill.

I was happy with my results last night. All week i felt i was a middle of the pack car. It literally takes that Alfa 3 to 4 laps at Laguna before the tires heat up enough to give it the proper handling.

With that said, as much as i love Laguna, I'm glad that race is over.

Nice racing guys 👍

Well it was an eye opener for me.
Found out the hard way that I cannot hang in there with the mid-pack crowd anymore. :indiff:
I just can't wrap my head around this car. For some reason I cannot make up the 3-5 seconds difference in lap times.

It was fun racing against DJ and Brett, but really depressing to see everybody else just drop us and drive off into the sunset...

Red sorry I am not going to be much help to you this season, I'm going to be too busy trying to stay out of last place :guilty:

I had two uneventful races.... I was just a tick slower than Mike and BK, probably just enough to be an annoyance when I was in front of them. In the race we ran last night at Montegi the BMW felt real comfortable and I was pretty quick so I have high hopes for next week.

Thanks guys. RR in race 1 kept his wheels under him and his front bumper on my rear at the end. Great driving. I was nervous.

Red was on fire race 2 from start to finish. His awareness of speed and anticipation of moves is top notch. I knew where he wanted to go and had to race the last 2 laps off the racing line to keep him behind me on all straights and in all turns. Red always opted to have us both finish instead of risk our positions with a move. And red...see, I can race without taking folks out. No really, awesome time.

Just got done reviewing race 1. What a race! Got to go to work and will review race 2 after work.

Great racing last night. I finished quite better than I thought I would in race one. Race two was going well until my right rear touched the rumble strip coming out of the turn leading to the cork screw and around I went. Hats of to JT for standing up to the pressure Red and myself put on him in both races. On a side not, after I spun I was behind Logan and have to say, very impressive driving and way to go with your qualifying. Keep up the good work!!

Thanks, I'm glad you knew where i wanted to go. Because i sure as hell didn't. No seriously, good racing and nice defending. Nothing dirty about it.
