Looking forward to gt f1 car.

You mean the only one I didn't buy because I only had 1.4 million credits? lol. I'll get it eventually. Tonight I'm pretty exhausted due to only 5 hours of sleep and 9 hours at work. I'll test the MR2 for sure but that might be all.

Okay so I drove 50 miles in the MR2 and I'm so happy it's finally got the premium treatment after all these years. The grip limits are high, and catching oversteer is pretty easy, but every slip of the rear tires equals precious tenths of a second. I'm quite confident it's impossible to get sub-1:00 on SH tires. As it stands, the MR2 is about 1 second slower than the Supra, and 1 tenth slower than the Civic Type R. I may end up doing the '88 Supra after dinner because I'm so excited about all this fresh new content!

Added:

1:01.493 - Toyota Supra 3.0GT Turbo A

Slower than MR2 yet N300 while MR2 is N200 hmmmmm......:confused::boggled::indiff::lol:

1:03.627 - Alpine A110 1600S

This is not an easy car to drive fast. It's rear-engine, rear-wheel-drive, and only weighs 1,576 lbs. I could only stand it for a little over 25 miles. I'd be amazed if someone is capable of a 1:02 lap time. I suppose I should test the new version now...

Added:

0:59.526 - Alpine A110 Premiere Edition

About 4 seconds faster than its predecessor. MR this time, too. Perhaps they realized RR should be saved for the Germans.

Added:

0:55.609 - Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4
1:02.994 - Dodge Challenger R/T

With the Challenger, if slight throttle is not applied while going around a turn, lift-off oversteer is a major issue. It took me several laps to develop a good enough technique. It's 7 tenths ahead of the Alpine A110 and a full second faster than the Toyota 2000GT, but also more than a second behind the C3 Corvette.

As for the Aventador, it's alright. The spread between the Veneno and Diablo GT is only one second, with the Aventador and Huracan in the middle.

Added:

0:54.936 - Subaru WRX STI Isle of Man Time Attack Car
0:55.616 - Subaru WRX Gr.B Road Car
0:59.908 - De Tomaso Pantera

The WRX Gr.B Road Car is 4 seconds faster than the stock WRX STI. Surprisingly, the Isle of Man version is not as quick as its power and weight figures would suggest. 105 more horses and 6 more ft-lbs of torque than the Gr.B Road Car, and 629 lbs lighter.

De Tomaso's Pantera barely manages to break the sub-1:00 barrier. It's 1 second slower than the Ferrari 512 BB.

Spreadsheet is finally updated. I've been slacking on that.

Tested:

0:55.956 - Nissan GT-R NISMO
0:59.751 - Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec (R33)

The GT-R Nismo is less than 4 tenths faster than the base GT-R. Seems weird to me that it's not significantly faster. I put a good 25 miles on it so I don't think I can do much better.

As for the R33, it's actually slower than the R32 by 3 tenths. The R33 weighs 88 lbs more than the R32 while only boasting 13 extra horses and 26 more ft-lbs of torque.

Tomorrow, I hope to test the FC RX-7 and E30 M3.

Interesting that at Tsukuba, you found the RX-7 faster, especially by such a wide margin. At Suzuka East, the results were opposite, but the gap was narrow.

Tested:

1:01.667 - BMW M3 Sport Evolution
1:02.031 - Mazda RX-7 GT-X (FC)

I'm not in the mood to pull my hair out trying for a 1:01 in the FC. It's absolutely possible, but I can't imagine gaining 4 tenths of a second, so the M3 is superior at Suzuka. It has 31 more horses, 22 fewer ft-lbs of torque, and weighs 110 lbs less than the FC.

Tomorrow, expect test results for the Red Bull X2014 Junior and Aston Martin DB11.

Tested:

0:50.977 - Gran Turismo Red Bull X2014 Junior
0:57.084 - Aston Martin DB11

The X2014 Junior is not quite capable of sub-50 second lap times, but it is almost 2 seconds faster than the Racing Kart 125 Shifter.

DB11 is extremely heavy, but still manages to do well. 56 seconds is NSX and Ford GT territory. I will need to re-do this car as well as the FC RX-7 when I am more energized, not after a long day at work. I hate ending a lap time in x:xx.0xx

Tested:

0:55.960 - GT Awards (SEMA) Mach Forty

Finally getting a 55.9 second lap after about 30 miles worth of attempts was a satisfying rush. A whopping 9 other cars tie the Mach Forty, including 5 other MR's.

Now I have to grind 2.8 million credits for the GT40 and finish off this newest batch of N-class cars. Is Premium Sports Lounge Blue Moon still the best way? It's still too long for my liking. I miss the pit glitch...

Spreadsheet updated.

Do this and let it run while you're at work or something. (Recorded in French but the images should be self explanatory, sound is rushed and ****** anyway  ).

Thanks, Alex. I will set that up tonight. I really want to test that GT40...

I've moved on to Tsukuba for the time being. Testing the "Gr." cars doesn't interest me as much. I've tested 10 cars at Tsukuba so far. Debating if I should start that thread or wait until I'm finished.

Did changing the track affect the ranking of the cars you tested?

Here's the difference so far.

Suzuka N100
1:03.627 - Alpine A110 1600S
1:03.870 - Mazda Roadster S (ND)
1:03.881 - Toyota S-FR
1:05.780 - Suzuki Swift Sport
1:27.023 - Volkswagen Sambabus Typ 2 (T1)

Tsukuba N100
1:11.655 - Alpine A110 1600S
1:12.346 - Toyota S-FR
1:12.379 - Mazda Roadster S (ND)
1:14.213 - Suzuki Swift Sport
1:34.105 - Volkswagen Sambabus Typ 2 (T1)

At Tsukuba, the Alpine seems to be significantly faster than the Toyota and Mazda. The Swift is down by 2 seconds at both tracks, and the Sambabus finishes around 20 seconds after it.

Suzuka N300
0:58.969 - Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec II Nur (R34)
0:59.681 - Subaru WRX STI Type S
0:59.841 - Toyota Supra RZ
0:59.930 - Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution Final Edition
1:00.667 - Honda Civic Type R (FK2)

Tsukuba N300
1:05.352 - Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec II Nur (R34)
1:05.733 - Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution Final Edition
1:05.939 - Subaru WRX STI Type S
1:07.063 - Honda Civic Type R (FK2)
1:07.476 - Toyota Supra RZ

Now this is interesting. R34 is still king, but the Evolution is now faster than the STI and the Supra. And the Civic Type R is faster than the Supra, too.

These results don't surprise me that much. The fact that there are hairpinesq corners and thus acceleration zones on Tsukuba. The only oddball is the STI and the Lancer. Apparently the STI is better at higher speed corners. Not unlike the R34 which has dropped considerably relative to the Lancer.

Really interesting to see this. Keep up the good work!!

Hey guys. I'm re-testing every N-car again because I have (almost) completely finished re-testing every N-car at Tsukuba since v1.23 physics update. See link in signature for that thread. Tonight I have just two cars to present to you.

1:02.666 - Mazda Roadster S (ND)
1:06.934 - Honda Beat

I forgot how much I love this track. The Honda Beat shines here. I was flooring it for about 90% of the lap, without ever really having to lift off the accelerator. The first corner is a bit scary though, as lift-off oversteer can be a real problem.

Tested:

1:03.120 - Toyota S-FR
1:09.134 - Mini Mini-Cooper 'S'

On a better day, they would be capable of 1:02 and 1:08 respectively, but only barely. I don't know how people are getting 1:05's in the daily race with the Mini Cooper at Suzuka. I don't see where I can make up 3 whole seconds...

Mazda Roadster is half a second faster than the S-FR, and the Honda Beat is 2 seconds quicker than the Mini Cooper S.

1:18.028 - Volkswagen 1200
1:25.810 - Volkswagen Sambabus Typ 2
1:27.658 - Fiat 500 F

S660 is less than 2 tenths quicker than the Beat. Much smaller difference here than at Tsukuba, which was 6 tenths.

So far the order remains the same as Tsukuba. I'll finish up N100 by the end of the day.

1:00.841 - Toyota 86 GT
1:02.234 - Toyota 2000GT
1:03.872 - Alfa Romeo MiTo

I needed to test the fastest car to see what kind of spread I'm dealing with. There's 33 seconds between the fastest and slowest N-category cars, compared with 39 seconds at Tsukuba.

Tested:

0:59.897 - Toyota MR2 GT-S
1:00.734 - Toyota 86 GRMN

The 86 GRMN hit a maximum of 124 mph on the straight, and carried a minimum of 60 mph through Turn 1.
The base 86 reached 120 mph, while slowing down to 63 mph for Turn 1.

The MR2 accomplished a sub-1:00 lap. A full second quicker than the 86. It managed 130 mph on the straight.

3S-GTE + MR =
