Suzuka rain glitch?

Doing the weekly challenge race at Suzuka and it's showing as raining on the map and the car windscreen wipers are on but there is no actual rain?
Anyone had this issue before?

Is it spitting down? Even a tiny bit on the windscreen when there's rain on the map can enable the wipers.

Didn't look like it, but will have another go and see.
Done loads of races in rain, just never seen this happen before.

If you have the wipers set to automatic just a few drops will set them off, I play in VR and I see the odd drop on the windscreen and the wipers will come on, idk if you are using VR or just in-car view, maybe the in-car view doesn't show up a few drops well.

yes the "pea soup" color is practically no-rain, but it activates de wipers.

I just set the wipers to auto.

I don't think there is a setting, I was changing the controller button settings and never selected a button for the wipers, and they just come on.
