Hi guys, I just wanted to say thanks to Mchid81 for setting up last nights practice session. I had a blast! There were a lot of close races and I think my best finish was a 3rd, I lost the lead shortly before the finish line.

Thanks to everybody else as well. There was a little bit of bumping here and there, which I think is unavoidable, but the races seemed to be very clean. I'm just an average driver so I don't always take the best lines and usually brake slightly in certain spots where better drivers don't have to. Hopefully I won't cause any collisions, but you'll have to keep an extra eye on us slow guys.

I agree. These cars, especially on the corner exit, have a tendency to get loose. You can avoid some of the weave with proper car setting, but I imagine bumps here and there will be unavoidable.

I was over-revving my engine quite a bit during some races and i lost 5 hp. I was at 130 hp by the end of the night. Luckily a rebuild is only 35k 👍

After my overhaul i'm back up to 137 :D
Question: At what rev is the best time to upshift?

Just sent the car back to you and its fixed! It was the stage 3 engine tuning. It was purchased but never installed. You now have 137hp! :)
Many thanks. ;)👍

Practice Session: Thursday Feb. 24th 6PM - 8PM est.
This session will be held at Grand Valley East with 10 lap races in between practice laps. The server settings will follow the series race settings which are:
NO driving aids except ABS
Real Grip/Track edge
False Start Grid
Weak Damage
Weak Penalties
NO Boost
Mic's are optional
Anyone from either the Sunday or Tuesday Night Series are welcome to join and practice. Just join the lobby in the Community tab, Mchid81, Lounge (Coffee Cup) to enter the lobby.
Maybe I can atone for my unintended slowness then. :sly:

Sorry Mchid81, but I need to withdraw from the Tuesday group, turns out I have a prior commitment those nights that I had forgotten.

Please put me on the wait list for if a Sunday slot opens up.

Thanks.

There is 1 spot left in the Sunday series if you want it.

hoping to make it to a practice session soon. my setup is different--tail happy at mid-corner. maybe we can swap setups so i can try yours. i'm running about 3 seconds slower than the time people are posting, so i'm blaming on my setup. ha.

I would like to join the Sunday Series if there's still a spot open!

The rear camber and LSD settings are Crucial. The two set-ups I've read in threads are a smidge low in my semi-noob opinion. In the Cappuccinno, the exit speed is Critical. (especially on GVE and Laguna Seca.)

EDIT: Obviously the exit speed is important for all tracks, but if you're slow out of Turn 6 on Laguna, you can easily lose two seconds on the Rahal Straight before the corkscrew. The little Cappuccino barely breaks 90 on the stretch and every MPH counts.

On GVE, leaving 7 entering the tunnel is critical. You can get lucky through 5 and 6 at times, but 7 can catch you out so easily in this little car. Throttle control and higher Acceleration # on the LSD with make it a lot easier

Sorry the Sunday series is full. There is one space left for the Tuesday Night series if your interested.

Looks to me like this thing is taking off. I bet if we had 32 spots per night we could fill them. Maybe next time we could have 2 or more rooms open per race night and maybe the top 8 from each room could quality for a grand final race night or two.

Again, just in case anyone missed it earlier, you really have to set up your car online. It is slippier and more tail happy I've found and others too, online compared to offline. Try the practice session tonight to help with your set up or set up your own room online and give it a spin. Of the 5 tracks involved, I did find Tsukuba had lots of grip but the others had much less.

I missed last night's official practice session but 5 of us had a late evening practice/race session in polizei's lounge. I agree the physics are slightly different online. On the first corner of GVE the car got loose mid corner and sent me around unexpectedly, something it just never did offline. Easily overcome with proper throttle control though it did catch me a couple more times when I got too aggressive.

Yeah I agree. I will look into this after the current series is over. 👍

I headed home for lunch and did a few laps in the online lounge. My race times w/o boost and alone were averaging .8 seconds slower than practice. However, as you might find, I will shadow whomever I believe is quick. Learn by doing..rinse and repeat

Think I may get in on this.....looks a laugh!

Thanks again for the Cappuccino RM Tune. The Sunday series races are full and there is one space left in the Tuesday Night series races. If WarDamnEagle53 is not interested in the Tuesday races we would have a spot for you. :)

No need for thanks, i'm privledged you guys rate it good enough to compete with 👍

If all the spaces are full no problem (to be honest I need to figure out the time it would be seeing as im english)

Stick me on the list for when you get a space free :sly:

Ta!

No problem. I think I'm GMT-5.

Pretty good practice session, it was fun and I did a little bit better.

How are you guys so fast? 1:10.5 lap time is crazy, the best I can do in time trial is about 1:14.5.

You guys use MT? Is using a Steering wheel going to yield better times vs the DS3? I"m not going to go out and buy a steering wheel, just wondering.

I use MT and my best is only 1:15.6xx. What tunes are you guys using? I'm getting murdered on the long straight. :(

Edit: I've tweaked my settings a little and I'm getting into the 1:14's now.

Great Practice session! I had a great time and can't wait for both series to start. :)

My best qualifying time tonight was a 1:11.523. I am using the tune that madmike1986 created here Suzuki Cappuccino RM Tune with a few tweaks. The only changes I have are setting the rear Toe to +.15 (thanks to Booch16), and transmission set to 168mph (thanks to IforceV8). I am using a driving force gt with MT. The car is at 137hp after break in. I hope this helps. 👍

I managed 1:12.8 automatic/DS3. I have no intention of ever getting a wheel. I'd be sentenced for violence on the road...from my armchair:yuck:

Took picture of my Impreza today. (it always looks better after the rain) Posted to my profile album should anyone care to have a glance.

Do people just come to the lounge to not race? There was only 6 racers on the track as far as i could tell, but if you back out of the race the lounge was full.
