I dont have a clue, but in coop you could have a sniper position/ spotter position for a player, I know I wouldnt mind being a sniper from time to time.

More info

>Suspects will now use blind suppression fire rather than waiting for visual confirmation before shooting.

>Suspects who have complied should no longer be considered secure untill they've been restrained. Unattended suspects might attempt to flee or secure a nearby weapon.

>Be on the lookout for ongoing developments. Witnesses have reported interrelated missions that detail the pursuit of an easter european crime lord.

>Report to the scene of a drugdeal at an arcade and gather evidence before suspects can dispose of it or flee the scene. Use of doorwedges on restrooms and exits is advised.

>Officers can now issue simultaneous command maneuvers to both red and blue teams with a new command queue system.

>Coop missions supporting 10-players can be setup using the same parameters available in single-player games with the quick missionmaker, which gives teamleaders their choice of locations, enemies, hostages, weapons and map settings.

>Devlopers report the addition of a new multiplayer mode, yet to be determined. Stand by for further details.

>Be advised, multiplayer games now feature asymmetrical weapondistribution. Opposing teams will each have a unique set of weapons.

>Voice-issued commands now play a crucial role in both single-player and multi-player maneuvers.

Furthermore the article shows and tells us there will be tactical grenade launchers (for dispersion of gas grenades), sniper rifles for the designated marksman or anyone who wants to have some easy long range kills and nightvisions goggles. All this along with a set of new, detailed maps.

The expansion pack has now been officially announced, It's called SWAT 4: The Stetchkov Syndicate.

How good is this game? Are we talking revolutionary in terms of features (over games like Rainbow 6) or is it just great fun to play, or is it just ok?

It is great fun to play because it is so tactical. In Rainbow Six you could still kind of play Rambo, in this game that way you will die, no matter how good your aim is. Also the maps / missions are really diverse, which keeps the game interesting. Trying to beat any missions without killing anyone makes it even more fun.

The only thing I didn't really like about the game, is that it is annoying how hard it is to get enemies to comply. I mean, I flashbanged them, I shoot them in the ass with a beanbag shotgun, then I douse them with pepperspray and they still don't drop the gun. There should have been a button where you can do some type of jiu jitsu throw or a kick to kick them down once they're helpless but still holding their gun.

I download loaded the demo and found that a bullet in the leg usually gets them on the ground quickly enough. Either that or shooting them in the leg with the BB shotty seems to drop them too. I agree though, some form of melee would've been nice.

Not a bad game, the demo got boring very quickly though, put me off buying the game now.

I dont get very bored with it as, each mission never plays out the same and I play in a serious coop clan.
