The Swift FN09 replaced the Lola FN06, which was used in Super Formula/Formula Nippon until 2008.
The teams had a choice of engines between the Toyota RV8K and Honda HR09 - Honda later updating to the HR10E - all of which being 3400cc V8's.
The car is remembered for its unique front wing profile, as well as utilising ground effects.
