You have a spiking potentiometer in your gas pedal, just had this happen to me this week with my pedals but on the brake pedal it's out of warranty so I took it upon myself to fix it, Works great now!

Thanks mate. That's a great help. I give it shot if Thrustmaster fails to help

I started reading the first page without realizing it was old. LOL. I'll say this, comparing the latest springs on the GT5 boxes vs my V2 pedals (which are the old style), I don't notice a single difference at all. Although the quality may suffer.

The brake I can't really compare, because I have the realistic brake mod and bushing mod on mine. So they feel much better than the stock GT5 brake. I would assume it wouldn't even matter if that spring popped, since the bushings are probably replacing their purpose.

Hello guys, I broke my torsion spring under the gas pedal for the second time. Do You know where I can buy a spring similar, identical in fact, provide by trustmaster.
One year ago they sent me a new set of spring, but before calling them, I would like to see if it is possible to buy it by myself.

Thanks

Old thread I know but my problem is kind of related with the Throttle in GT6 on my old version T500RS - i can't always get full throttle although the pedal is depressed fully it sort of flickers on and off until I reduce the travel a bit, but then I don't get full throttle.. anyone else had this issue??

Sounds like a dirty potmeter. Open up the pedals and remove the potmeter from behind the black plastic cover. Either open up the potmeter for some thorough cleaning with contact spray, or just spray some contact spray into it. Leave it for a bit, move potmeter back and forth a dozen times (lock to lock). Put everything back together and test it.

Or just google how to clean dirty potentiemeters (potmeter or pots for short). Good luck.

Edit:

This is a guide for the G25/27, but apart from opening the pedal casing... the cleaning part is similar.

Had this issue. Ended up seeing it had a broken spring. So just swapped out the gas and clutch.

I went like three weeks racing and off pace before it came to my attention. Someone was watching my laps and says you has fluttering and not going wide open? I started watching. Was like we that explains a lot.

As stated. Check pot and clean. As well springs.
