In the lesson with the Subaru at Grand Canyon, you get the best launch by sticking it in 3rd and flooring it

I just didnt think you could control it with GT games!!

it took me an age to figure that out in gt3 then i switched toacellerating and braking with the analouge stick and all became simple

consider the higher gear to be true for the whole course...
A higher gear as you would normally do, will give you;
less wheelspin=better traction=a much better lap
