TCV5 HURRY THE HELL UP thread

no, 350Z.. better known as MFT 486Z SC.. detuned it, added ballast, and made it work on S3's.. damn I'm good.

Uh oh... I'm thinking of entering a 350Z as well, albeit a slightly different model... I might put some more power into it and make it a supercar instead! At the moment, it's running mid 1'20's, so if I max everything it'll be doing close to 1'18! Gotta love the 350Z sometimes.

Guess what I found in less than 1 minute, my friends! Good ol' mazdaman is requesting drag racing setups for the Mazda RX-7 he wanted to race against Rotary Junkie not long ago, from Mad Finn Tuners. Now that's what I call humilliation.

VTiRoj, let's see if your NSX can compete against the Corvette :mischievous:

He pm'd me also. I'm helping him even though I warned him I don't know a thing about drag setups, and rarely go to the drag strip.

Got the RX7 down to 8.8 but stopped because it's time to set sail with Captain Morgan. :)

Wont be needing it any more. Due to the 787b has more power wanting to be set free it just ran 8.185

1'20s?! what did you do, strap JATO-pack on it? it could be only my driving, but my best so far is 1'23.0xx.. gotta keep fiddling with it. :nervous: although, I do not want to sacrifice the driveability, laptime is only a byproduct of a working setup.. so much about sleeping tonight.. er, morning. :ouch:

Question with your 350 did you take off the tcs???

I have a feeling you may have me beat on laptimes, but let's see about the other categories. :sly:👍

Interest question, what are you approx. lap times with NSX,since i don't have spare time to try your setup myself?

:embarrassed: please stop, you guys make me blush. and besides, that's offtopic.. or I'm offtopic in this thread.. er, never mind, I'm off to bed.:crazy:

But they still can be improved upon, that's what Parnelli's getting to Adam. :) A bit of suspension and downforce tuning of the Mine's knocks off heaps of the understeer and turns it into a better animal which should be getting the times I expected (1.25's).

d24/7, damn you. The Spirra is what I was going with aswell. ;)
Now you know roj, 370hp of Spirra is coming at you from me. :P

to be honest I was having doubts about entering the Spirra.., it was just a car I had tuned a few months back.., but not until I fine-tuned it some more when TCv5 came out, :D

I tried the Charger that was entered myself but knocked it back due to the laptimes not being up to spec. My substitute is a lot better and I hope someone doesn't get that one yet. :P

Supercar.....2 of you have done the XKR, I almost went the big cat route myself, but swapped at the last minute. 👍

WTH?!?! I thought the deadline was July 4, you moved it to 1st?? can I still swap cars??

Axis vs Allies? in that case, let me remind you..

:sly:

hey, I remember this!

the only comparisons on lap times that I made was just between my cars, :P I just put my faith in my tunes.., 👍

I really do hope my Spoon Civic will do great this time..,

about the driving aids.., perhaps Mafs forgot to add those to the rules, no driving aids..,

I sat there wondering what the hell could compete with the NSX-R, especially after judging it in TCv3. The Spirra was something that came out of left field and to be honest I think it's the best choice. I've tuned it like a V8 Elise 111R. ;)

JUDGING starts on July 4. Deadline always has been July 1, 0000 GMT. That's about 8 or 9AM for you batu boy. :P

Even if they did have aids placed in there, we as the judges would be taking them off for the battle. ;)

I'll be on for the next little while to deal with other TC stuff, I'm at my mum's borrowing my aunt's PC. :D Don't get used to it, I could be at the new location in as little as a week. 👍

I COULD enter my heavyweight category car as I memorised those settings and stats bar the exact torque figure but it's above the 750Nm range. I just wanted to do all four at once but it might be a case that I won't be able to get those stats beforehand and might enter the backup's too as I have some cars that were TC prepared but going to GME instead.

Actually, I will. :mischievous: Prepare for Germany vs England vs Australia.

TCS isn't even allowed in the competition, is it?

I believe driving aids should be allowed in the competition. Problem is, anybody stupid enough to include them would just be shooting himself in the foot. :dunce:

If I remember right, the only two cars that gave the NSX-R competition at TCv3 was a Garaiya and an Elise. Shame that one never got finished though. :(

I'm a Brit representing Germany. :D

Damn, I never thought I would say this, but today (IF I've got time) I will try to tune a car fast to enter in the Heavyweight or Supercar category 👍 I can't let the C1 do all the work with three more categories to enter cars in.

Okay. Well good luck, mr. argentina.

Hey PF. YOu forgot to add a clutch to your parts list for your Elise 72. Unless you dont want one installed, that is.

I almost corrected him on the weight regs too but I was confusing the Type 72 with the 111S. ;)

Just to let you all know, there is just over 24hrs left to get your entries in for TCv5. After that, the thread will be locked and no other changes will be permitted otherwise the car WILL be removed from judging. So get your last minute changes to your settings or entries in or else!! :mischievous:

Good luck to everyone and I think Parnelli will be the first up with judging results as he's already got a headstart on it. 👍

Have edited changes onto my lightweight entry:
Added oil change (should take it to 284hp)
Added triple clutch. Thanks Parnelli for pointing that out.

I was wondering can the nismo 350 be entered as heavy weight entry??

Depends on the Z model, they are tuner models so they need to be pre-approved anyway. And I already know the Z-Tune's pace as I used it for battle monster testing, so that won't be allowed if that's where you're heading. But the S-Tune is fine.

Looking forward to seeing what the judge's make of the cars - i think mine got better as i went along (learning on the job etc. etc.), but will be interesting to see what you guys make of them!

Good luck all :)

Funny. I double-checked this one, too. :sly:

Praise Jayeezus!

Yea, I'm done all lightweights (unless someone else shows up tonite with a lightweight). Started on the Middles, too.

Dang McSqueegy had to enter a Solstice, tho. This means I'll have to silver the S-licenses! I have no fear that I can do this, but it'll add time to my judging since I never even started the S after all this time! :indiff: I might do McSqueegy's Solstice last, if nobody minds. I'm not looking forward to spending an evening doing license tests...it's been awhile. :indiff:

Don't worry, in.s@ne has the same problem too Parnelli. I actually didn't envisage this car to provide this many problems. :embarrassed:

If I can find my back up tunes, I'll chuck an Alfa in there for fun or something. :P
