Yay hopefully I'll pick up a few points from that.

Actually I'll admit that the subbing of the stock LSD in this case is very much a Motegi-specific change; the car tries to kill you anywhere else with it (well, not kill you but becomes a slow handful).

Parnelli's scores for middleweight have been added to the totals in the first post, so be sure to check your current points tally because the total will only be revealed after ALL of us judge. 👍

Holy mackerel, my Shelby scored an 86. Highest of that round (unless RJ's car does better on the retest.)

Somebody learned how to tune, :dunce: uh oh.

:ouch: *curses the differences between PAL and nutscape version to the deepest and hottest parts of the hell*:grumpy:

Like you need a few extra points...

Great work with the judging once again, Parnelli. It's interesting to see where we disagree on points, and how our driving styles give different opinions, blahblahblah. I'm pretty happy with 80, considering I only gave up two hours for tuning it...:p. To be honest, I expected a lot worse.

Now, I hate to say this, but... my family's also relocating, which means the PS2 will be packed up in a week. It's locally, though 👍. I hope to have lightweight done by then, but with all the packing to be done... *shudders*. It's inconvenient, and to make matters worse, my right hand has been in bandages for a week. I can drive, but I can't shift gears without causing bleeding...

Real life sucks. :(

^YEa, it is interesting, Macca, where we agree and disagree. I purposely tried NOT to read your write-ups because I wanted to go into this with my mind unaffected by other's words, but I couldn't help skimming some of your words.

Hey, what can I say. The Shelby dances the way I like it to dance. I got a good lap time with it, as well as the best Top Speed. But I have a feeling the RX7 without a full-custom LSD might cause some extra damage to your current seat on the throne. :trouble:

Yea I know dude. One of the TCV5 Middleweight entrants (I'm forgetting who now) made sure to post horsepower figures for both low and higher-mileage versions of his car. Wish we had thought to do this with the G-Limited.

Thanks for the excellent review, Parnelli! I laughed my 🤬 off about the "date" part. You are right, the LSD was set up by the same reasons you described. I'm glad you enjoyed the car. :) 👍

Mr. Argentina, If I ever get Premium, I would change my username to Lucas or Mr. Argentina . No, wait. mr argentina

Oh Parnelli, it's good to hear I'm so bloody forgettable... If we ever meet IRL you owe me a beer ya mongrel.

I'm trying to juggle lots of information at a time....lots of back and forth fact juggling...you have no idea, man. So sorry if I don't remember every little thing on the spot. I'm trying to be effcient about judging & writing, too. Seriously...I wanna be done with TCV5 by mid-August (well, the judging part, anyways).

But yea, I'll buy you a 6-pack of your choice.:cheers::cheers:

Yea, mr. argentina. small caps. lol

mr argentina is...

Unfortunately, trying to say that alone makes me look like a dolt so I recommend Mr. Argentina to avoid making people look like fools if a sentence starts with your new name

on the Spirra: rearward ballast weight?? huge weight on the rear end?? I though mine was set to the FRONT, not rear.., a -50 on the F/R Balance..,

I've just checked. Yes it was a -50 on ballast distribution.

Looks like PB has two retests to do. :sly:

*added bit* I've just put in the "re-test" bit next to your 62 d24/7. So don't worry it will get re-done. 👍

But...there are some issues. Again, the brakes could be stronger. Also, there are toe settings here, which I feel is unnecessary. I noticed immediately that if I removed the toe, this car turned-in more sharply and had a more flexible feel.

Probably because I tuned it without a wing many years ago. *Can't wait for GT5 where I'm far better at tuning now than ever*.:trouble:

And if GT5 is ANYTHING like GT4 where the only thing that mattered from GT4P was the licence tests, all your GT5P tuning is going to be wasted. :sly:

Besides, you'll need all the headstart you've currently got Paulie when MFT, RRV, ETZ, shogun & GME all come aboard the GT5 train and take you to school. :p:D

Not to mention the other tuners (like mcsqueegy & MadMax86) who will end up dominating with me on the Top Gear Test Track 1/4 mile.

Two retests? I already did the White Tiger, and I'm about to do the Spirra. Don't tell me there's another one??

Well you did say in your judging "Rear biased weight", and d24/7 does have it as -50 which is front biased. :)

And no, I don't think there is. I actually overlooked it, I'm glad d24/7 brought it up otherwise I might have missed it too. :O

Yea I know..I missed the front weight bias...it's hard to see, honestly becauase it looks like this:

Ballast- 85
F/R Balance- -50

It's easy to miss that extra hyphen. :odd:
No worries, tho, I'm about to retest the Spirra.

I've just checked the updated White Tiger stuff. You're 1 off with the scoring, it added up to 92pts, not 93 as you've put down. No biggie, I've put the score up anyway.

I'll put d24/7's revised score after I wake back up, it's getting bloody late around here again (1.30am Sunday now).....so take your time. 👍

Spirra.....DONE!

White Tiger readjusted.

I'm doing Heavyweight now. Jonn's Mazdaspeed 6 is the one we win from Clubman, I think, but I'm not sure because it doesn't list what kind of drivetrain this car has, and it's supposed to be AWD. I'm gonna go ahead and do the entire Clubman so I can win this car.

 PB, I had to do the same for my backup MC when I was at PF's. So I did it quickly and destroyed the field with the HKS Drifter. :O I was pleased that the M6MPS I got this time was in black, the main MC has it in Silver. :indiff:

Cool. I just finished Clubman in a BMW 2002. 👍

Funny thing...the Mazdaspeed 6 is a car I've never, ever driven. I always wind up getting rid of it, so I had no idea it's an AWD. Perhaps if I had known this, I might have driven one by now. But I can't stand all the cars that have specs like this:

Type: --
Power: --
Torque: --

You'd miss out on the GT-R Proto then which is one of the best cars around. I almost used it for Heavyweight too since I know it's all around performance was already great.

Me neither. Honestly, how do people expect us to drive cars like that?

EDIT: I also forgot to say I don't like concepts. Expect the Viper GTS-R, which I love.

This mind sound stupid, but isn't it interesting how concepts we have in GT4 may be possible to drive in "normal" form in GT5? This is already true for the GT-R. :)

Ahh, but there are exceptions to that rule, dear Mafs ;). That car Parnelli has especifically mentioned can't be raced in any of the "Drivetrain races".

But it's still able to be used practically everywhere else. :) To me, it's only a few races they can't go in and there are enough cars to take their places on the grid. ;) For things like Enduro's though, they are great. 👍

Some concepts, though. I wish there were more endurances races. I mean, MX-5 endurance race? :ouch: Some enduro's could use different grids, just to make it more interesting.

Quick important update: THE TVR FINALLY CAME UP FOR BUYING, now just waiting on the EG6 Civic, then lightweights are done, finally for me.

(I need more credits now though!)
