Maybe for Race 1

Doesn't seem that way for Suzuka, you always seem to turn it easy at the fastest possible speeds while I lose .3 on some turns. So its not all good.

*edit* But I do think you are doing it the hard way with trying to drift every corner. If you just drive it clean you'd probably get down to 2.02 quickly so I doubt there's an advantage.
 
I'm just dying to know when the bc6 is gonna start anyone know?

GTX is testing software upgrades and they will anounce whats going on mid april. So once that happens we go from there 👍
 
First hour into race 2 great combo btw...and Curtis is WAY WAY off in the distance

Race 2: 1:54.436....I'm chasing Randy and also want a sub 1:54....(Is it just me or is this familiar territory? LOL) But on the brighter side I haven't looked at anyone's replays yet so that makes me feel about 3% better...heheh

If you want to keep that good feeling, don't download jmgyro's or HotBoi's replays! :scared: (I would include Holl01 in that list as well, but he's PAL and we're NTSC, so you can't watch his replays anyway...)

Actually, I'm using those replays to try and learn how to drive on these tracks... They've taught me a lot -- I really feel confident that, given enough time, I can break the 4-minute mark! Who knows if that will wind up being good enough, but it'll be a great education... I'm glad we have a month to work on this! :)

Actually I can view Holl01's replays, because I'm 'special' heheh, no worries everyone thinks its impossible to view PAL on a NTSC machine but I figured it out eventually. Check out my site I've got some of Dan's (Holl01) replays ;)

As for Race 1: 2:05.625 again an hour or so into it.

When will the races actually take place. The offcial ones that is in bc6.

I don't want to put times down to find that is on during my yr 12 yearly's. (Fianl year of school for you non Aussies). They start in August so from now to then im free cause im currently doing half yearlys. Only 2 tests to go yay!

Is there an exact time frame or just a period say like May to July for 8 weeks?

It should definetly be done by August..... If not i think I will give up of ever having a BC6....

We don't know yet. You'd better subscribe to this thread which is the place where the dates will probably be posted first.
GTRP could organize BC6 this summer, but many racers find it pretty late so GTX planned to set up something earlier. There were busy last week-end to upgrade their site software (moving from phpBB to vBulletin), and they should be starting soon to think about BC6.

Hadn't seen your post Dion, since it was on the top of next page.
But with GTRP, GTX and GTPlay willing to organize BC6, it has to be run by the summer. ;)

How did you get that to work? I can't even get Holl01's replays to show up in the replay theatre, despite the fact that the PS2 Browser says they're on the memory card...

I'd be very interested to know how you got that to work!

SSShhhhh......heheh....I also have a PAL version of GT4 so Dan can enlightened the rest of the world on how he does what he does. Not that Curtis doesnt do enough as it is 👍

Just to clarify.. were racing on ROAD TIRES correct, that would be the softest of the normal tire compounds, also known (in arcade as RD) correct? I dont understand how I can be driving as well as I am and still be nearly 2sec off the pace. My fastest lap being a 2'05.808 in the Skyline race.

Please clarify this for me..

You are correct, I suggest downloading some of the uber-fast laps and checking them out...they'll help your line out. And besides when it comes to the actual BC you will all be helping each other out anyway 👍

That's 'cause these combos suck!!! Hear that Dion? :lol: :lol::lol:

Finally gave these combos a first go. I really do hate 'em. The merc's ok, but not a fan of Suzuka. And I hate driving anything over 250hp on normal tires. 👎 So this may be it for me on these combos.:indiff:

Finally had a go and this is what i got

Skyline 11 laps 2:06:111 Having trouble with this one
Merc 6 laps 1:55:126 At least another 2 seconds here.

Still plenty of time to improve. Especially the skyline one. It wants to drift but its to heavy.
 
Good luck to the guys hoping to make the team and also good luck to my old team mates for the upcoming event :)

I will be driving for a small group of racers that will be a new team! ... yet not new to BC :cool:

Just saw this now, kinda late, but been busy. It's weird I was really hoping that once school was finished I would find more time for GT4 OLR, but the complete opposite happened :(

I'll give this a go time permitting.
 
Nissan afer another half hour, really bot finding much time for this bc6 quali....but here's my new time that will get me under 4min :) Spent some more time at Suzuka as well...

Nissan:
2:05.540

Mercedes:

1:54.216

WOW, I don't see how you guys can get those times with the skyline on normal road tires. I tried on sports soft for the heck of it and got a 2'03.xxx but there seems to be no way for me to get that with normal road tires. 2'09.068

Any hints? :indiff:
