Incorrect. We are simply stating what happened in the past, the fun of tuning in online rooms.

Nice try though, I appreciate the effort.

And BTW, I can see you took DLR's old signature he had on GTP.

Well swara, I guess I got old tendencies. Ssrx is my break in track. Since I started playing online this summer, all of my cars were tuned at Indy to race at Indy. I'm by no means the fastest on the game nor do I necessarily desire to be, but I can compete on any given day with the "fastest" on the game. It just seems that a lot of the veteran drag racers aren't willing to acknowledge the fact that there are fast guys who just started that do it the right way. Let's all make this game fun again and chuck the theory that if you weren't drag racing in 2011 you don't have the legit right to be fast today. That is all. Have fun and Hang Low

^^^^i cant imagine that there is a lot of younger tuners who got there completely legit though.....im almost there w the team dragsters, but i can honestly say that ive never taken ANYONES tune number for number..... every hundredth of a second i shave off is because of hrs that I myself put in,give or take a tuning partner. can you honestly say that about the newer guys? or is there just a surplus of Web tunes floating around online?

This my opinion.. Take it for what it's worth:

There are a lot of fast guys. A lot.
Some were 'born' fast.
Some started as noobs & then worked their ways through the 'ranks' with the help of others.
Some started with base tunes & made some tweaks.
Some just used trial & error until finally things started working.

It does not matter how you got to where you are..

Personally, I believe you can get a lot out of tuning at Indy. That's where you have to start. No one jumps straight onto SSRX and starts tuning with out ever racing at Indy..?

The real test of skill/knowledge comes when you are able to take your race car off of the track and time a pass. Numbers don't lie*
Being able to tweak gears, suspension, & adjust trannys is what gets you to the 'next level'.

I think it's more so because a lot of us rose the ranks and did it the old school way, so we are in the mindset that it takes a while to get fast. Did for me.

I started as a noob and got a little help. Never got a tune when I started, because no body knew much. Everything I learned was 97% trial and error.

I woulda came but I needed to sleep. I think if I came we would of won.
I left before that too. We would of destroyed with me and slash! Lol

Also i started out by trial and error and having other people helping me. Also you can say me and Street Racer were tuning partners maybe. We just both started as noobs and just kept on tuning to get faster we were tuning and finding techniques every day.

It came down to a tiebreaker at the end. And what would you think if I beat a guy, he then said that he won because he saw his name ahead of mine after I started to brake, and then he said that his GTO Twin Turbo ran a 7.698? (This wasn't the tiebreaker).
@SlaggyNan :(

what team and who? ill hunt em down :)

I forgot. No need to hunt 'em down. Hydro, we gotta run our 560's and cuda's again tonight.
EDIT: Errr.... Maybe find the guy claiming to have a 9.698 GTO Twin Turbo

I dont remember. But, go in any room and it'll be the ones using AWD, noob cars, lying about their times, and e-cheating when they are doing pinks. :D

:guilty: actually i beat them all including thier leader i just lost once (tie breaker) because he treed me :grumpy: me,agent,nd bestdrifter123

Was good running you last night, nice "old school tune" challenger you have 👍 Finally had a decent Internet connection.

Hey guys,

Was racing one if the veteran Hydro guys last night. (The one who seems excessively banned).
Anyways, I updated him on the comp. schedule and the cars involved. He said to pencil him in, and that he should be able to make it.
Just passing on the news to you. See you all soon

Alright, sounds good. Thanks for letting him know, I haven't seen him much lately.

So as of right now we have:
Myself
Slash
Street racer
KT
"Guy that gets banned a lot"
Chris or Bestdrifter. He said he can do it

Is that the 6 that is racing?

Me either. He has lost his mind & gotten into endurance racing.
Of course some guy wanted to race Hondas, so he rolls up in his McDonald colored Odyssey.. Hilarious.
He still has it. We had a good Ferrari battle before we went our separate ways

@JJ Yeah, I think its 6, maybe we hydro 2.0 hold a little comp tonight in a lounge to see who will be the final 6. Lol. And then whoever gets eliminated will still go to battle as a backup just in case.

Sounds good. Lol. But me you slash and KT are already in so final two spots up for grabs. Who wants it?

It's 7 on 7. That leaves room for the Ghoster and judge. I already got the roster up and I would hate to cut one of my pros:)
