All test drive talk here!

Anyone else have the online PC game?

Getting it as freakin soon as it comes out in Australia. Which should be 4th April.. if it gets delayed one more time, I want to bomb my local EB Games store :D

Oh, I hope your not the only one on here getting the PC version!

I'll add much more contetnt into my posts once we have some other posters with the game ;)

i'm still waiting for it aswell. we got the ps2 version so early but the pc version will take its time i guess....:(

I DL it from Atari few days ago ...
lots of graphic glitch fix over the open beta
however I still have trouble to get my PS2 controller adapter to work with the game
here is my new XK, bought it from marketplace for 50k
great deal for a sexy looking car 👍 but no tunning yet
however I gave her a new paint at lux paintshop

played with radial blur in game, but slightly photoshop to get rid of the jaggies

I've bought it two weeks ago. With my Geforce 6600GT, I can't expect the best quality but the game remains fun to play and the graphics are not so bad except the aliasing :

(contrast & gamma have been modified)

what do you guys think will look better: the PS2 version or PC? also does the PC version have the cars and bikes that are on the XBOX360 version? one more thing, does the pc version have a manual gearbox?? so many questions!!! is it compatible with DFP since i read it was with the G25?

It depends of your PC, with an Athlon 64 3000+, a Geforce 6600GT [128 Mo) and 1 Go RAM I find the graphics "correct" - maybe other people won't - (800x600 screen resolution, AAx2, low details, look at the pictures I posted earlier) and the framerate is variable (sometimes very bad in big cities).
The PC version seems to have all the cars & bike from the XBOX360 and there will be dowloadable cars later (Lexus, Ruf, etc) and yes, there's a manual gearbox.
For the DFP, I can't answer since I don't have a wheel, I play with my PS2 pad and an adaptater.

Tomcat: which DS2 adapter you are using?
mine was bought from playasia.com
works flawlessly in other racing sims
but in TDU .. it hangs all the times

btw ... nice screens

It's a PC Joybox 3 in 1 by Mayflash, the price is cheap but it works quite well. I bought mine in a game shop in Paris but you can find some on Play Asia.

There's just one problem : the D-pad commands in the same time the point of view control AND four buttons. It is not a probleme for all my games (maybe because they don't support the point of view control) but not TDU : I could set all the buttons and the sticks except the d-pad until I found a program called Joy To Key (see here for more details : http://www.electracode.com/4/joy2key/JoyToKey English Version.htm ) ; for example I set the "look left", "look right", etc functions to the 1,2,3 & 4 buttons on the keyboard and with Joy To Key, I can hit those buttons with the d-pad.
Sorry if it's not clear, my english is average.

Mine is from Mayflash as well, weird thing is everytime I want to assign the buttons it hangs on me. I even tried digital mode that I could play the game but it hung on me after driving for 30 seconds :( keyboard is my only choice

CCX
It's a brilliant game, my club is www.gumball-club.com

but if any of you are interested ill rack up some money for A GTP club

That would be interesting 👍

where did u get the beta version from. before i buy the game i wanna play the beta version to see if my laptop can still handle it:)

1000+ miles of official GPS mapped open road in hawian island o'ahu
90 cars
online play: cruise, race or generally just show off to other players
great graphics
car tuning
buy houses, clubs AND bikes
car repaintng
even rent cars for certain races if you have to!

anyways, im going to get that $750,000 clubhouse for GTP members if any is interested, got any ideas for names (we may need members not from GTP) and I was thinking because i have my own forum we could have a whole club section on there.

and here it is, with me parked outside:tup::

(my forum name is exotic wheels, do you think that's being too selfish?)

EDIT: I have purchased the $750,000 club on the lower right of the island, the name is:
GTPExoticWheels.

you'll have to find me ingame, Im happy to arrnage a meet any time

The open beta was free from fileplanet with limited 1500 signups
but the beta server was only available for 1-2 weeks and it expired now
so you can't test your laptop anymore
however I think you should get a decent desktop to run this game or it will be 5fps

GTP club now has 2 members none from GTP though, just 2 talanted driver's ive had the pleasure to cruise with.

damn it :indiff: anyways, here are my laptop specs: ACER Ferrari 3000
AMD Athlon XP 2.5ghz
ATI 9200 128mb
512 mb ram

I've had to hand over the club presidency to another member, I having serious problems with my accounts.

Didn't now about this game being release :)
The online mode really sounds tempting. I always wanted to be able to just drive around like in GTA, but not with the guns and stuff.

Going to get it tomorrow if it's some where in store not far away.

I have a question.
Are the extra cars you can download for the game free or do you have to pay for them?

What are the specs on your computer system ?

I feel like getting this but I'll need a video card upgrade + ram...

I think Atari will release a car pack in the future but no one knows when
btw if you can't find it in game store near you, you can go to Atari website to download the whole game, best of all you don't need a game disc to run the game
