Looks like there is a car pack on teh way. There have been sightings of the red and yellow test cars with ferrari F40 wheels.

I'm gonna upgrade to 1.5gb of ram and get a g25 if its possible.

ive got 256mb video memory and it runs just fine.

I tried playing TDU on my PC and it was way too choppy. Apparently my pair of P4 XEON processors don't like games. That and my video card isn't massive enough--I miss the days when my FX5700 was the top card. :indiff:

I run TDU at 1680x1050 all max + HDR, aside from AA. :D

So I finally found my Xbox 360 controller, now I can finally drive my cars without the tail trying to overtake me all the time. I've got 2 houses and 9 cars:
- Enzo Ferrari (Black)
- Chevrolet Corvette C6 Z06 (orange)
- Chevrolet Corvette C6 (white)
- Caterham CSR260
- Audi TT
- Nissan Skyline GTR
- MV Agusta F4 Tamburini
- AC 286
- Ferrari 288 GTO (LOVE THIS CAR!)

I'm getting ready to do the Millionaire's Challenge soon, looks like fun. :D

I've finished both the Millionaire's Challenge and Tour Of The Island. :D The Enzo at stage 3 simply dominates everything, even the Macca F1 GTR (:().

finally a Test Drove thread on GTPlanet! sorry ive been offline a looong time.. too busy playing TDU! hah i had an account which got to champion level, but it got deleted somehow, and i had to start again. im champion again now, $19,000,000 in the bank, and my favourite runaround car is the Mclaren F1.

some negative things i have to say though about TDU is some of the online features which crash or freeze. oh, and i hope for future downloads Atari can give players new options, such as a choice of manual or paddleshift gearboxes in some cars, as well as being able to lower or raise the roof on convertibles. i want more options now because i can see that individuality is being lost on TDU, Enzos are supposed to be rare cars but now everyone has one. and even if you try to personalise it with a colour, someone else will pull up next to you in 5 minutes with the same paintjob. also, TDU2 should include Engine Transplants, so i can own a Merc SLK with an SLR engine just like Bin Sulayem, the rich arabian racing driver does in real life :)

i would give anything to see a test car whilst online... ive seen pics of an RS4 with F40 wheels on it, but to see a real test car would be awesome.

just before logging off i have to say, Atari has made the single best racing game in history, rivalling Gran Turismo and exceeding Need For Speed. phew. i had a lot to say :sly::lol:

Atari didn't make the single best racing game in history.
Far to many bugs for that. I haven't played it much lately, just because i get slowdowns sometimes, especially when i have more than 5 online racers driving close.
(could be my pc though, i'm not spending any more money for games on it anymore)

meh you're free to have your own opinion on the game, but i think as a concept, TDU is an incredible game....so much more freedom and ingenuity han NFS or Gran Turismo.

GV
1000+ miles of official GPS mapped open road in hawian island o'ahu
90 cars
online play: cruise, race or generally just show off to other players
great graphics
car tuning
buy houses, clubs AND bikes
car repaintng
even rent cars for certain races if you have to!

anyways, im going to get that $750,000 clubhouse for GTP members if any is interested, got any ideas for names (we may need members not from GTP) and I was thinking because i have my own forum we could have a whole club section on there.

and here it is, with me parked outside:tup::

(my forum name is exotic wheels, do you think that's being too selfish?)

EDIT: I have purchased the $750,000 club on the lower right of the island, the name is:
GTPExoticWheels.

you'll have to find me ingame, Im happy to arrnage a meet any time
Is this house available on the PS2 version aswell?

Thats not a house. In the PC and 360 versions of the game you can buy your own clubs and stuff.

P.S. My TDU PC username is DJBlackMon24. If you see me, say you're from GTP forums.

hey guys, finally bought a new high end laptop and i'm playing TDU on pc with my G25 :D so far its lotta fun. i hope i dont loose interest in the game as fast as i did with the ps2 version :)

Dudes just bought this, anyone know how to get cash FAST? played it for a few hours, only got about $59k in the bank...great arcade game by the way, i know it's buggy as hell but it's a very entertaining game, i don't even enjoy the races that much, i just like to cruise around the island...but i've only got the alfa GT at the moment..

Sell a car on online sales for 9.9999999 etc. and the game will buy it automatically after a while

I got this yesturday along with GTR2 and found myself playing this more.

Anyway, my name ingame is SAJAX so if you see my say hi :) Currently driving a TVR Sagaris.

How long does that take usually.

im considering getting this for the PC...

is there a way to get the exclusive xbox360 cars for the PC?

quick question, i'm back into the game, and i saw couple of vids on youtube showing people driving porsche and Ruf's. I haven't found the Porsche Dealership nor the Ruf one in the game yet. Can anyone help me on that?? I got the PC version!

So, in an attempt to resurrect this... is tdu worth it for the PC? Because I'm not splurging 60 bucks on something that isn't worth it.

do you have to have a fairly decent PC to run it?
im not too fussed about detail quality or anything, just as long as it has an acceptable framerate

I have an E8400 @ 3GHz, 9600GT 512mB card. I can easily run it on highest settings with a very good framerate of minimum 30fps.

60 bucks? I think you are getting ripped off.

But anyways, yes. Especially if you have a wheel, which the PS2 version doesn't support.

If you have a G25, you'll love it trust me. And yes $60 is a tad too much. I'd be looking in the $30 zone.
