That would be cool.

though i rarely play it anymore. I also can't play this week until Thursday night because i have exams.

Gosh this game is not too popular anymore. I know I have left it as I got bored of it, it just seems to repetitive for me. Good cars on it but just it gets boring after a few weeks.

Anyone wanna arrange a meet sometime?

Im like so meh on that one. Join a TDU forum and get some friends there and then you can criuse with them. The last time i saw a GTP user on TDU was like ages ago (Other than V8ETER who im usually on with).

I got really bored of it. Maybe its because of the graphics or something...

Yesterday I played the 360 version again, and I have no idea HOW I could play the ps2 version lol

lol. Maybe its just the people your hanging around with.... :trouble:

lol no not really. Its more the fact that its hard to connect to everyone on your friends list:grumpy:

On the 360 version the servers are wayyy better. This game was really fun while it lasted tho:tup:

I say we all just have a long cruise with smaller powered cars. I personally love to take out my db4 and just drive around.

we would really need to get this one planned out though.

1st of all, we need to find a meeting point. It shouldn't be too hard, we could meet where we were all supposed to meet last time we planned a get together,

2nd, we need a way to talk to each other. If everyone had AIM or something like that, we could all be talking to each other at the same time, getting rid of the confusion factor (If everyone had teamspeak and a mic, that would be even cooler)

Being able to talk to each other will get rid of the "Were did he go" factor. If someone disappears, everyone should immediately stop. We could then figure out what happened, who's missing, and be able to get that person to appear again.

3rd, timing. A we all know we live in VERY far apart time zones so whoever was organizing times last time could help with that. If anyone is running late or needs to be somewhere, thats again where being able to talk can come in. so if somebody wants to join, we just stop somewhere, tell whoever where we are, and he can telly over.

4th, we need a leader. joyriding is fun, but when you are just driving around everybody it gets confusing on where to go. I also would personally like to drive through the curvy mountain roads because the only time i ever have, was when i did that 40 something mile race that went through there.

And if this does happen, be sure to get your music ready :sly:

sounds good the only problem i have is i cant be on the net and ps2 online at the one time,i would also suggest a speed limit so noone is speeding off and being left behind :)

I forgot that not everyone has a computer right next to their ps2, lol.

A speed limit sounds like a good idea. I was just driving through a winding set of mountain roads and it looks like a good place to start, so a speed limit won't really be needed there.

That is also why i was talking about a leader. The point being to not pass the leader which will keep everybody in a group. The leader just needs to stay at a pace that everyone can follow, and be considerate of the people who will accidentally hit poles or something of that nature.

Hey, i'd love to join you guys, I just got the game from blockbuster and will be buying soon. I own a Ford Mustang with all upgrades :( Its so boaring after awhile!!!

Hows the bikes?

What type of online play is givin?

there are no bikes for the ps2. nor is there Ferrari and i think a couple more car companies. The ps2 version is very watered down compared to the xbox and computer version.

Online play is better to go to all the time so you don't have to deal with the police. there is no way to communicate with another person, and mostly all you can do is challenge someone for a race.

Alrite then. Who votes me as leader? :D But i think we should like all swap leaders like every maybe 30km we go. Use that time zone meeting planner thingy i posted on the earlier post :)

It's a fun game, too bad I can't join you guys because I don't have a broadband connection at home.

I'm currently at "master" (IIRC) level, own 4 houses, have 13 cars, all won except the first (a Alfa GTV6). So I have almost 4.000.000 credits in the bank :sly:

The free riding is awesome, and indeed a technical achievement I didn't think was possible in the PS2.

My only dislike concerns "road racing" with traffic. I would prefer races in circuits and closed (at least without traffic) roads. But that's my personal preference, I guess many gamers (even Gran Turismo addicts) like it.

I was at around 30 something complete, but i sold all the houses I won after completing all of the extremely long races. I mostly did it so i could keep my cars in the houses that i wanted them in. I think it brought me down to 26%, but i can live with that.

I mostly just cruise around in the smaller powered cars like the db4, whatever that older jaguar is (sorry i forgot its name), stingray, shelby (again i forgot its name. Its not the concept).

tonight im going to work on getting the old corvette to cruise in. I have plenty of time too because SCHOOLS OUT! yay, but now i have nothing to do

so, what you're saying is that the completion rate depends on what you own???

I guessed it just had to do with winning all the events and getting to be President of all the clubs ...

to get 100% you have to own everything. what you own doesn't make up that much of the whole percentage though, so theres nothing to worry about there.

I gave up lol. Now I just like free roaming with others... besides - I have the, arguably, best car in the game (McLaren F1LM). I plan on gettin the CCR so then I'll have both the best cars.

I almost have every car.

Yesterday i won the 1957 corvette, koenigsegg CC8S, AC 289 (Feisty little bugger), and lotus 111R (which i didn't wan't). Today im going to aim for the xlr and caterham

If you ever see someone cruising around in a low class car, that most likely will be me :D
