Alright, I'll be online tonight until about 11:00PM (GMT +8:00)... must stop in time for the Monaco GP. :)

Bah, I miss this game. I never got bored with it at all... just been playing some of my older games lately (Driver 4, GT4, etc). I'll see whoever online then 👍

I keep saying this, but I wish there were a chat function in the game... it would make life so much easier.

Got back into this game again and have been playing all weekend, still haven't seen any GTP players online yet though.
 
Never noticed how popular the ATARI forums were. I've just signed up as 'Mr_Mayhem' so people would recognise me from the game 👍

btw... As soon as I get a wireless connection again, I'll be on MSN 24/7 :)
 
That was a great cruise ND4SPD. I would've never expected to see you driving the db4. Sorry i had to leave. when you found me, i had just got some pizza, and i debated whether or not i should go on the cruise. I'm glad i chose to, but now i have cold pizza :(, lol

That was a sweet cruise! The DB4 is one of my favourite cars, aswell as the muira. You're most likely to see me in those two. I must say the DB4 could stick with SVTL's Gallardo till about 184mph, I was surprised. After you left I grabbed my Muira and joined up with SVTL again and we had another sweet cruise. His Gallardo and my Muira were so evenly matched it was awesome swapping the lead with him on the highway! Never knew the Muira was that fast aswell....It can hold over 200mph on the highway on its own and around 215mph in the draft.

I really love both those cars too. I like to cruise with the 289 sometimes because it seems faster than the 427, but i definitely couldn't keep up with you after 160.

I like 289 because its a fun little car with pretty good handling. I think i was having an easier time in the turns than the db4.

I just wish there were more classic cars. I own all of them, and have driven them an umpteen number of times, but they haven't got on my nerves yet, which is great. I even have the black point house as a place to keep my best classic cars.

I agree, hell even older car's would be awesome. Imagine cruising in a 30's Duesenberg or a 50's Cadillac Eldorado!!?

now that would be wicked awesome. That would cool if you could get a patch full of classic cars with new sounds, not just the same sound with a different body shell.
 
I'm not sure if buying or not this game, I always play with manual transmision, but I've seen that this game doesn't have it. Is it worth buying it?
 
It's fun, like an RPG with cars.

I've just sold my Skyline GTR to buy a Gallardo Spyder.

It doesn't feel any faster. :'(

Do you have any class A cars? If not, i suggest finding a decent paying race then doing it over and over again until you can buy the CCR and stage 3 upgrade. Once you have that you can do the race 'the tunnel' i think its called which is very short, but pays $70,000.

After that, if you really have the time, you can do the viggiaro series (i think thats how you spell it) which consists of around 6 VERY long races including one that is 100mi. (shouldn't be a problem for a GT person though. Endurance races FTW)

If you beat all of those races you acquire every house in the game. I myself didn't want my cars going to random houses in the middle of nowhere so i sold almost all of them which came to a grand total of around $40,000,000. After that you can pretty much do anything.

You know what im tired of, I'm tired of mr newbie who just got his mclaren F1 messing around with me while im just cruising or actually obeying the traffic laws in the game. It'll usually happen while im exiting my driveway, so I take out my Chrysler and knock him into the next country.
 
If I did the same race again and again to buy the best car, I'd feel as though I was cheating...

I'll stick with my Gallardo and Saturn Sky for the time being. :D

Thats too bad

I don't feel it's cheating because your still putting as much effort into the racing as you would be with any other race. I reached master level with a CCR in the first 3-4 days of playing the game. If Atari wanted to make a need for speed type game where you could have as much points to reach master, but you have to beat all the E, D, C, and B races, then they would have, but it would make for a very boring game.

I love the freedom this game gives, and thats why i am still playing this and gave up on the last two need for speed garbages, I mean games, lol.

Hmm, well my 2nd car was a Saleen S7 TT and my other car was a stock Mustang....:lol:
 
Having problems with online, ("Could not connect") but I'll keep trying.
 
I got a Nissan Skyline yesterday(thnx Danny:tup:) and that thing is fast:dunce:.
Raced a couple of supercars and i owned them:D. I won a Cadillac:)
