We have a house computer but it's soooooooo slow and my dad doesn't like me to be on it without a good reason(i.e. Homework) so for Christmas I might get my own one.

Ok so here's my problem.

I love Christmas time, its supposed to be really nice weather this time of year in Aus, Get to hang with the family & friends, Holidays, Beach, BBQ, Birth of Christ, My Birthday all that & whatever else.

Problem is I HATE Christmas decorations, Love Christmas - Hate Decoration's

Wife = Loves decorations

Me = Hate them

What do I do GTP????

Ok but this is where it gets messed up, If I agree to decorate a room or so I end up having to do all the work because she is not tall enough to put the tree together let alone hang decorations & lights off walls - Furthermore I am then expected to undo all my decorating prior to new years eve which basically means there is a period during the holidays that I am out of action for potentially 48 hours (1 day to put them up, 1 day to take em down)

Now I can think of about a million better thing to do rather than decorating my house with thingy's, one of which involves sexual relations with other men so you can kinda see how much i loath christmas decorations

Tony, I think the word you should be looking for is compromise. Talk to your wife and explain your dislike for decorations and the work involved. Then discuss only putting up some decorations so that it doesn't waste the entire day. Also decorating the tree and house should be a family thing, so do it together, she can put the decorations up that are down low, and you put the high ones up.

Let her take charge of the decs while you enjoy some beer.

I personally think putting up the decorations is one of my favourite parts. If you have them that much how about a compromise where your missus can do part of the house and leave the other half normal.

Well it has been like this since the first time I got here in 2009. Including the smileys and all the decorations.. I don't celebrate Christmas but sure it looks great! 👍
