Thanks for the BMW M4 PD, but...

FIXED! :)

Ok guys I fixed the problem. I changed the audio setting in the game from 'auto' to '2channel' and I can hear the sounds perfectly in chase cam!

My apologies to PD. I am a very happy driver now.

As with 80% of the cars I have driven in this game THERE ARE NO EXHAUST/ENGINE SOUNDS IN CHASE CAM VIEW with this car.

Please fix this cr*p PD you are losing me fast.

My pal and i are huge car nuts and love the GT series even with all the faults, but your lack of polish in this game for the simplest things make me lose all faith in you.

We are literally moments away from chucking this game in and going Xbox ONE and Forza5.

Never even considered it before...

Yet another complaints thread? I'm no automotive expert but you can still hear the engine in chase cam, so what's the difference?

I can't hear it at all..no sound it's just silent. I can hear it in all the views except chase cam. it just goes silent.

What I mean is, if you have reached the point where you are considering ditching the whole system then do it, but you will end up finding faults with that system too. Apologies I wasn't too clear before.

Sometimes the audio is weird so try adjusting it in the settings. Or just don't use the chase cam.

I have adjusted all the audio settings, tried changing the views etc etc..(and yes I even turned up the volume) but nothing works.

It's not the only car either. I drive chase cam , that's my favourite view....so the game is not as much fun for me when I can't even hear the dam engine noise.

I just kind of feel let down tbh...shell out hard earned money for a half finished product sucks.
 
@OP: If you seriously consider buying a Xbox One, go ahead. The fact that you ask PD to fix the engine sound here though will not affect the priority PD has given to the matter.

What I mean is that it's surely useless to threaten PD here, it's not going to reach them, really. And I do shar some other peoples opinion in this matter, i would not personnally spend $499 just for a problem with a specific view.

I agree that the sounds are poor with most of the cars but as GT fans we should all know what to expect with GT games. Me personally I just get on with it and take what I'm given. There are aspects I think are poor but I just find a way to minimize their impact of my enjoyment. Ranting on internet forums about little things is hardly going to change things overnight.

And also, you've spent £40-50 of your hard earned money on a 'half finished product'.
But you're willing to spend an extra £480-500 on another console and game only to find problems with that game as well?

I think he's trying to say that the engine sound in chase cam is completely absent, and you can only hear road noise much like the glitches reported on Mt Panorama. I think that's a legitimate bug, and a legitimate complaint to make.

Not to say the complaint about the engine noise isn't genuine. It is. And will hopefully be fixed.

If you use a surround system, the chase cam exhaust sounds only come from the center speaker. All other views virtually set the exhaust behind you, that is why it is louder. I noticed, when you switch from bumper cam to chase cam, the exhaust sounds sometimes still plays for a brief moment from the back speakers, until they switch to front center.

Same problem GT5 had, they will fix it surely.
 
I just took the M4 for a drive and drove from trailer cams ...... sorry I meant chase cam and I could clearly hear the cars exhause and engine sound.
 
I don't think you guys understand what he's saying.

His audio is perfectly fine, up until the point he goes into chase cam, where everything falls silent. There's been numerous audio glitches of similar type, many including Bathurst oddly enough.
