There are lots of statues of Greco-Roman deities... Are they real?

I cant believe that some people think that the x2010 redbull is real. Come on. Its just a concept car. The one you saw on diff. Video is just clay. It is just a mythycal car.

X1 was created to answer Kazunori Yamauchi question on "If you built the fastest racing car on land, one that throws aside all rules and regulations, what would that car look like, how would it perform, and how would it feel to drive?"

And voila, a fictional racing car was born.
I'm sure if they really want to build one, they will be able to do it. Just that they haven't, and see no point in building one cause it will just go against the racing regulation and is a total waste of money and effort.

My 2 cents worth.

There was a «Nike» car designed exclusively for GT4 but it wasnt that powerfull

And the X2010 isnt real - there is no X2010 IRL

You can't identify something as real then quantify it 'close to the real thing'. They're contradicting statements.

They build a 1/1 scaly dummy - but it doesnt move at all

there were only formula cars in gt3 (dunno about before that) as gt4 again only had the fgt....

FGT is a formula car also. Not Formula 1, but "Formula GT".

There is not a functioning x2010 but if you read about it it is possible to make a car very close to the performance shown on gt5 but it well never happen

To build a X1 would take manny manny money and years - but the question would be for who or what or even why should they build it? Thats why F1 and other motorsports have rules and regulations....

No one could drive this thing - its too fast and the G-forces would be 2-3x higher than in a F1 car - so you know what this means for human body

The X2010 has been modelled, that´s it. Far away to say it´s real. I´d say it´s only a bubble without content. To be honest, a real good looking one :)
It´s not even a prototype, cause it has nothing on it. That engine also exists only on paper even it may could have been built by today´s standards..

The same goes for every race car with the "LM" suffix. None of them exists but that doesn't seem to bother anyone for some reason. :dopey:

lol because they are sensible and similar to plenty of existing models...

The X2010 is a jet fighter with wheels that would kill the driver easily with those g-forces... it's the reason they put regulations on F1 cars, humans cannot withstand cars that go round bends that fast without the driver dying or at least passing out.

It does not exist as a car... it exists as a model. Like there are models of spaceships...

I don't think there's every been something that isn't further from reality than the X2010.

The X2010 is actually pretty realistic. I can't think of anything about it that hasn't already been done in real life before.

  • Its weight is plausible considering that at 1,200 pounds it actually weighs more than a real-world Formula One car. Though the regulations require them to weigh more, before bringing them up to minimum weight some weigh less than 1,000 pounds.
  • Its 1,500-ish horsepower isn't unrealistic since there have been cars with more power than this. A Formula One car has half of that, but that's from a normally-aspirated 2.4-liter engine; they could do far better had the regulations allowed it.
  • It uses powerful fans to create suction for extra downforce, on top of what it already gets from its bodywork. All sorts of race cars get downforce from their bodywork, like F1 cars that can generate enough downforce even at just medium speed that they could drive upside-down from a ceiling, and fan cars generated suction several decades ago, although this technology was quickly banned from motorsports.
  • The body style is similar to real-world cars like the Caparo T1.

The x2010 is real. And is close to the real thing
It is real, but theres only a prototype.
Actually it does.

Mmmmm, nope.

To build a X1 would take manny manny money and years

Not at all. The technology has been in place for a long time, and Formula One teams are fully capable of creating something like this from scratch to operation in just months. The only reason F1 teams don't already create X2010s and similar concepts is that the rules simply won't allow it.

Well..., yeah, it would take a great deal of money, but I mean not an unrealistic amount, since F1 teams often spend over $400 million for their cars for just one year.

No one could drive this thing - its too fast and the G-forces would be 2-3x higher than in a F1 car - so you know what this means for human body

This is the real problem with the car. F1 drivers already experience five or more Gs, and the X2010 would be far worse. X2010 drivers would be blacking out within moments.

If they were to make the X2010 in real life would be as useful as t1ts on a nun.

Put all those together and the car will kill anyone who drives it.

Eh you could possibly get around the G forces problem with a liquid breathing/immersion system, but that technology is still a few years away. The tyres are the other problem, but i've no idea how far away X2010 worthy tyres are., or even if theyre currently out of reach at all.

Why you would want to make the car is beyond me.

Off topic, but I can think of one.

MY APOLOGIES TO ANY ADMIN READING THIS, BUT I HAD TOO!

GT2's Escudo. That's a fake car.

I said GT2's Escudo. The Escudo is obviously a real car, but in GT2 is had no respect for physics. The X1 can at least be explained by physics.

The X2010 is just a prototype vehicle that was made to show how fast racing cars could be without any restrictions. it was designed using proven aerodynamics calculations and physics, to the point that if made, it would be highly possible to achieve similar performance as it does in gt5. Although, if it was made, was drivable and was safe enough to drive on a track that was crazy enough to allow it to be driven, the fluids, pistons, and just about every other part within the vehicle that changes position while being driven would be subject to extreme force and pressure.

No driver, not even F1 drivers or Vettel himself, could drive it and pull 8G turns. The only possible person who could would be an experienced fighter pilot, as they have been trained not to black out, and have experience in high G turning.

I'm pretty sure nothing in previous GT games could match up to the X2010, without using a glitch within the game.

I had all the previous gt's and I think back on gt2 for ps1, I had a game shack and they was a hack where you could change engines and thing. I remember making cars get 64,000 hp those cars used to do over 500 mph on any track. The rev guage use to spin in circles and the cars sounded like ufo's. The x2010 is fast but these cars would lap it in like a 3 lap race. The cars were so fast you had to ride the walls.

I remembered the escudo, the playstation froze as the car hit several million MPH:P
Didi it after i broke out of the seattle surcuit.

And now, imagine modifying a Caparo T1 into a fan car. = a flamethrower :D

Jet pilots train to withstand 9+ g's during flight. Do you mean to tell me a 300 mph car would pull more g's than an F-16 at or over the sound barrier?

I remember the Nike car being as others have said not very powerful by comparison but unfairly easy to drive and with a similar spacey design.

Sorry but I like the cars that are a challenge to drive, the kind of love you have to work on whether they're made out of clay or bits of the matrix or whatever...

9+ g's? Wow that's insane. Space shuttle launch is 2-3 and don't most people black out around 6?

And you kept traction how?

Actually it does.

Yeah it does, what happened is in that video it was so fast that is lapped the Nurburgring while everyone watching blinked and returned to the exact same position it was without anyone noticing. Totally amazing as well when you take into account that Sebastian Vettel was driving it but it was so quick that you couldn't even catch a glimpse of him entering or leaving the car.
