Jet pilots train to withstand 9+ g's during flight. Do you mean to tell me a 300 mph car would pull more g's than an F-16 at or over the sound barrier?

They wistand G's in such a way that the blood pushes down towards their feet, which a G-suit can compensate for.

Turning a racecar is an entirely different direction of blood rush.

X1 was created to answer Kazunori Yamauchi question on "If you built the fastest racing car on land, one that throws aside all rules and regulations, what would that car look like, how would it perform, and how would it feel to drive?"

And voila, a fictional racing car was born.
I'm sure if they really want to build one, they will be able to do it. Just that they haven't, and see no point in building one cause it will just go against the racing regulation and is a total waste of money and effort.

My 2 cents worth.

Like a Zonda R? :)

Centripetal acceleration = Velocity^2 / Turn Radius
G-Force (Lateral) = Centripetal Acceleration / Acceleration due to Gravity

Red Bull X2010
90mph in a 20m radius corner
8.154 G

General Dynamics F-16 'Fighting Falcon'
700mph at 60 degrees in a 1200m radius corner
8.269 G

Yup.

According to your own calculations, it would be a nope.

I want that hks drag car back!!!

Really? It has to brake for banked sweepers (AKA turns on the Test Course) and is thus highly useless for most things in GT.

Some say the Stig is powered by an X2010.

I'd just like to point out that the extreme G-Forces you would experience whilst driving the X2010 are lateral and not vertical. The reason you pass out from vertical G-Forces (like in a fighter jet) is because the gravitational force is stronger than the pressure pumping blood to your brain/core (it "pulls the blood to your feet"). Lateral G-Forces don't do that. However, they do make it awfully difficult to turn/hold on to a steering wheel.

/Just saying ;)

Eh you could possibly get around the G forces problem with a liquid breathing/immersion system, but that technology is still a few years away.
That's overcomplicating it, mate. If they created such a beast in real life, you could compensate with a pressurized suit, similar to what fighter pilots wear. G's start to mount, and the suit constricts the blood going to extremities, forcinig more up towards the brain.

anything Chuck Norris is so 4 years ago... you're living in the past, that joke is hella lame.

Haven't read the whole thread, but did anyone mention the GT Concept by Citroen in GT5:Prologue? It was pretty much the most unbeatable car in that game.
