Sounds interesting. But overall, between Z and motul autech? What will you keep and use most of the time? In your own opinion.. :)

To tell you the truth i dont use either too often, just because there are so many cars to choose from. I enjoy 400 to 600hp races online, usually use my FTO all the time.

If those were my only choices and if i was racing on Eiger, Cote de azur, deepforest etc i would definitely choose the Z over any GTR. She responds and corners very well. Its torque will give you faster acceleration in lower gears compared to the GTRs. So basically i would choose the Z in any track where you spend alot of time in lower gears.

Fuji, Sarthe (any track with looong straights) Id choose the motul or Xanavi GTR over the Z.

Id say get both the Xanavis (GTR and Z) they are the best of the nissan JGTCs, imo. The motul is just as good as the Xanavi GTR. The calsonic is really good too btw.

Still, the best way to find out which one is best for you is for you to get em both and test em out. Doubt you'll be dissapointed with either.

I acquired the Toyota---GT1 RC '99 and gave it a try in the deep-forest test track.After lowering the trans and tune the down force at full,front-rear,it achieved a time of 1:00,132.This puts it first in my list of lap times *.The car could have been 0.5 sec faster if i tried a lot but my testing was just 3 laps and whatever happens,this is because as stormbringer said in his op ,that this track will decide the faster but also the more maneuverable race car.The Toyota---GT1 RC '99 proved to be faster in this track,but it left,for me at least,something to be desired in the braking department.I believe the Minolta in a race will win,due to consistency...

The toyota is superfast, achieves over 400km/hr without slipstream.
I think this is where she shines and makes up time. Even in deepforest, her high acceleration and topspeed gives her a great advantage over all other LMPs. I didnt particularly think it had the best handling, but it certainly isnt lacking either. Its a great car. I really like it. I think you have to brake more just because she gets to a very high speed at any given time.

Handling, i still prefer the sauber..its my fave. you need to get that car.

You are right about that.The thing is that i didn't feel she was so fast until i saw the lap time.The feeling of acceleration wasn't so much as in the Minolta par example.Strange...

I didn't achieve a time better than 1:02,00 with the sauber whatever i did.I believe the main reason is the camera view when you drive.I usually drive with the camera which is just above the front hood,not the really low bumper camera.The trouble is that in the sauber this camera is also really low and it doesn't help me get a feel of the road ahead...
 
I actually agree on the hood/roof cam on the Sauber. It's annoying as H... it's too low to be the same camera view as the other cars, a camera view which you have been used to using - it's sad that they couldn't put the camera view higher on the Sauber...
 
Out of interest and curiousity, I did a few searches, in this forum and a couple of others, trying to find a thread with similar content as mine. So far i havent found any. Are there any other testing threads?

If anyone knows of any, id appreciate a link or a nudge in the right direction..
 
I haven't seen any similar threads, which is why we all really appreciate the work on this one :-)

BTW thanks for the R390 GT1 Roadcar, I'm on the lookout for the Peugeout 205 and Ford RS200 rally cars for you guys in the UCD.

BTW Stormbringer, I found the Peugeot 205 Turbo Rally Car in the UCD and sent it to you, and you can send one on to Bombe32.

I've been looking for that damn NSX LM Road Car ever since you put it on your list, but it's never even showed up in my UCD in the 2 months of checking it, so one more day or two won't hurt hehe.
 
So, new seasonals = new money. And it's actually F1 events that are grindable, yuhu, now I can use my F1s for something useful. But still, consider how many times you'll have to win the F1 races to earn the money back again :)

And Kludger, thanks, appreciate it. That NSX-R is also one of those I am looking for atm. I'm sure it'll appear within a week for me, but in the beginning of my game (on the other PS) it appeared twice. Now that I changed PS the UCD cycle has been reset, so it's not the same order.

Changing to G25 wheel soon, have been using it a lot the other days, which has resulted in a new lap record at La Sarthe with the Audi R8. Looooove rally with a wheel!

Also thank you Storm, for the WRC rallies, haven't tried them yet though, but looking forward to it - will finish the rally test this weekend if I get hold of the RS200.

EDIT: The new update means that I missed the Lancia Delta HF Integrale, whoops. Why did I forget it...

I just read another thread where someones saying he's got the FTO supertouring in a few different colors. I just have the black one. Hoping someone has some other color i could copy, as its one of my top fave cars.

Will give you any car you want in return plus a hearty pat on the back! :)
 
I asked you to replace the NSX-R with another car as I was certain it would appear very soon... then my PS broke and sadly it's one of the last cars to appear on this one.

FTO Super Touring in another color - hope you get it from him, as there's only one way to obtain it yourself: 1000 ticket. Use it and turn off if it isn't the car you wanted - this is the only way to obtain the RX-7, FTO, Impreza Super touring etc in other colors - it's very annoying that PD didn't make some kind of color change feature for those cars that cannot be painted.
Considering the ~1030 cars you can win in the 1000 ticket chances are very slim though.
 
ya im never gonna do that random ticket nonsense. Will cause much frustration and wasted time. Hopefully i can get a trade. He's only interested in 0 mile cars, so i think im out of luck if i try to trade with him. Will engine overhaul reset a car to 0 miles?

Really want some more colors on that car, its the only one im dying to collect in different colors now that i know it exists.
 
Yeah good to know it's only available via the 1000 ticket, I always look for the FTO LM and the RX-7 LM in other colors in UCD but no luck.

It's so annoying that we can't change the colors, especially when the AI gets to run the other colors and some of them look so good. (RX-7 LM in blue, Camaro LM in red).
 
Actually came to think of this. Is the car a lvl 21? No it probably isn't so ignore this :)

So the lvl 21 ticket probably reduces the odds a bit? Still sounds like too much work and time wastage for me to indulge in. Hopefully i'll get a trade somewhere

What is a Honda Odyssey? Seen it a lot of times, but it's no super car as far as I know :) And btw it's called a CLK, not an SLK :)

I've got the 370Z, 0 miles, perhaps that could nail you the FTO in another color? Worth a shot, I'll send it anyway tomorrow.
 
The odyssey is a van that supposedly can be highly modified. Sounds pretty cool from what ive read in some other threads.

CLK, thats what i thought too, was trading with some chap some time ago who had one, and he insisted he's got a SLK DTM. So if it exists..i want.

There is no SLK DTM. Only the CLK DTM. There is, however, an SLK 230 Kompressor, and I do have it, if you want it.
 
The Elise 111R RM can go round deep forest in under 1min09seconds... Mine has 318bhp too, the one on the list only has 309.
