I have come back to the game after a long break and slowly relearned it. I want to get gold on all the normal licenses. The only ones left are S4 and S6-10. Which one of these I should go for first? I have been trying the S-6 but that Shelby is driving me nuts… I remember trying S-4 hundreds on times before giving up before. That Tokyo Expressway is so unforgiving.

I’m using a wheel, MF, TC 2 and default ABS. I’ve tried to study the ghosts, but I cannot replicate what they are doing at all and in S-6 it’s so much ahead of me after the first turns it’s very demoralising. My biggest problem now is just losing hope at this point. I guess these are not even the hard challenges in the game but I’m struggling. I did gold everything in GT Sport and even when it was hard I still felt like I could do it.

Try TCS 0. Like get actually used to it.

I have been trying S7 and managed to get silver after a few hours. I can only do one hour a day before losing my mind and wanting to punt my PS5 out of a window. Playing without sound helps a bit and drinking heavily.

I have watched some videos and the demo, but I really don’t understand the grip I’m understeering like crazy if I don’t break in places where I shouldn’t.

The only advice I can give is to maybe use the assists and start with TCS at 1-2 until you feel confident enough to do a lap with TCS at 0. And keep watching the demo replay and using the demo ghost. It may be distracting but it can guide you and help you determine what you're doing wrong.

And of course, don't give up hope.

I can double that. Even more, I have found out that the "officially recommended" settings are not always those that I get the best results with. In some cases, I got better using TCS, Counter-steering or ABS than without. You have to find out yourself what's best.

Regarding never giving up - it depends. If you have both enough spare time and nerves for (a lot) more attempts, continue. But if not, it might be better for your physical and mental health to accept that you won't beat it, and to use your time on other things.

Guys, any car recommendations for the 30 minutes Gr.3 mission at High Speed ring? I got 2nd with the Subaru Gr.3, could probably try again a couple of times to get gold with that car - but there might be better options.

Still doing S7. Got a time 1:08:025 so just .125 off. Definitely doable, but 95% of my attempts end in a crash. TCS doesn't seem to make much of a difference here and I have kept it at 0.

For the life of me I just can’t seem to gold Master A-4…

No matter what, with the demo ghost, with my PB ghost, all aids off (always play like that). I quit, come back later or another day, nope. I’m just .200 away…
