That is a massive overstatement and classic doom-posting. First of all, claiming a Forza Horizon game is "dead" because of a drop in concurrent players ignores how live-service games work; player counts naturally fluctuate between seasons, but the global core community is still very much alive.Ubisoft is gearing up to poach Chinese players from Forza, especially now that FH6's popularity has tanked. The game has lost 90% of its concurrent players in just three months, the updates have been lackluster, and the community is basically dead.China is Forza's core market, with the largest player base.If there weren't that many Chinese players, they wouldn't have added many Chinese cars to FH5.
While other games like Gran Turismo 7 and The Crew Motorfest are adding popular Chinese vehicles just to attract Chinese players, FH6 barely has any Chinese cars left—just two Wuling models. It’s clear that Chinese brands might be abandoning Forza now, and the game is losing its core player base.
Oh, and don't forget, Tencent is Ubisoft's biggest backer right now.

This definitely isn't the case if you check the player count of both games currently you will see Forza still has 3x the players that the crew has. yes it has taken a dip but they are also only steam player not counting Xbox where I'm sure the bigger percentage of players are. Forza is still a much popular series and always will be don't get me wrong I'm not hating on the crew I adore the game but when it comes to actual facts Forza is much more popular even with the not so great updates of late. As for the Chinese brands there is a good chance they will end up in most big racing games it's not just to attract a Chinese audience but china is a huge part of the automotive world now with some mega electric cars I'm sure we will see more in most games going forward 😃.Ubisoft is gearing up to poach Chinese players from Forza, especially now that FH6's popularity has tanked. I’m not ignoring Xbox. The problem is that you’re assuming the Xbox player base is still large enough to completely offset the decline elsewhere. This definitely isn't the case if you check the player count of both games currently you will see Forza still has 3x the players that the crew has. yes it has taken a dip but they are also only steam player not counting Xbox where I'm sure the bigger percentage of players are. You seem to be forgetting that Forza has 3-4 years more of content to be added and you're just assuming they won't add Chinese manufacturers strange assumptions to make just because the crew added one and gt7 has a few.Chinese players are an important market for Forza. FH5 added a significant number of Chinese brands, and that clearly made sense commercially given the growth of China’s automotive industry and player market. GT7 and The Crew Motorfest are also increasingly adding Chinese manufacturers. So when FH6 goes in the opposite direction and currently has very limited Chinese-brand representation, it’s reasonable to question whether the relationship between Forza and Chinese manufacturers has changed.
I completely agree with you on the rivalry aspect. Healthy competition between Forza and Motorfest is great for us racing game enthusiast.Im grateful to Forza, without it Motorfest would not have been inspired or as polished as it is. A good rivalry can ramp up the creativity levels!
