Major Spoiler alert!!!!

but here is the RC Playlist:

And the May summits and Main Stage:

Hopefully the summit has a preview of how these vehicles drive, might grab the season pass if they're a blast to play with. Not overly excited about the cars having a jump button. Skimmed the video, they do look fun however the top down racing is purely wasted events for me.

Well Ive had a dabble on the summit now... 3 races in and ive jumped back on TC2 instead. I miss chipping down times by tiny margins, this wont be happening with RC cars... seeing so many RC races is a chore not enjoyment. Im not a fan of the handling (to me its deeply unsatisfying / twitchy). I hope folks enjoy the new content more than I have. Playlists are few and far between anyway... im really looking for something to sink my teeth into playlist wise its going to be a long wait. Engagement has dwindled for me, and now there is no summit to engage with either (looks like hypercars next week which is a relief). Fingers crossed there is some content to my taste later this year now the season pass dlc is out of the way.

I don't know how to feel about the rc cars. I liked the idea first. Now I'm not sure what was I expecting. Maybe I'm just not the target audience. For now I'm just annoyed. Physics are way too drifty, camera is way too far, electric sound is weird, jump button (?), cars are not small. Maybe it will grow on me with time. I'm more excited for the Gumpert Sport coming next week now. 😂

As expected, creating liveries for the RC Trickshot was just as difficult as creating liveries for Alpha GP cars.

I love the RC, but I don't want to go through the trouble of creating liveries while struggling with the complex mapping of this car again.😂
camera is way too far
You may have already tried this, but in RC, selecting Chase View 2 will give you a closer camera view, allowing you to play with a feel closer to that of traditional vehicles.

If the cars allowed you to correct the oversteer in a manor like wreckfest they would have been a joy to drive, but as is its fiddly for no good reason and this in turn torpedoes the drifting side of it.

My performance on this Summit: F-

Surprisingly my best performance was a 150k score on the TrackForge Featured Track.

My worst performance is a whooping 2,500 on one of the non-linear tracks.

Meanwhile in a shocking turn of events solar crown got patched and it hasn't crashed once so far (fingers crossed) 🤷‍♀️

spoke to soon oh well i had 2hrs play before it went back to its old ways 🤯

Went through the RC Playlist. The cars are amazing with the customization, also funny that you can add the engine sounds. Still need to remember that you can jump (forgot to in Sofia's last challenge, making it super hard on myself to do flips).

Haven't touched the Summit yet, kinda scared to TBH...

Ive gone back through the summit and after some perseverance Iam less polarised than I was. The yellow car drives quite nicely but they all really need so many inputs at such a high frequency that it is truly exhausting concentration levels. Using the lower camera helped me out immensley in getting a feel for it, its just a matter of constantly feathering the throttle and correcting steering / drifts incessantly. Its jarring going between the two driving styles, I switched back to hyper cars later on and it felt like I was playing in slow motion. The RC cars certainly have more a sense of speed and urgency about them (which is strange as they are half the speed of hypercars).

The RC controls brought to mind how Assetto Corsa 1 was on gamepad almost just slightly too sensitive for purpose. I get the feeling the RC cars need a bit of deadzone adding or a change to linearality of the steering.

While even more noticeable when venturing out into the open ocean in water motocross, this game seems to incorporate a special mechanism into certain vehicle categories that gives a sense of speed beyond actual speed.

I really hope they implement this gimmick in the "slower" vehicle categories such as ST1, rally raid, monster truck, motocross, and demolition derby.

That would surely increase the number of people who love these categories.
