GT-R GT500 base model '08

My favorite "grind car" from gt5 wAs the Calsonic Impul, so I used those settings as a base, and by the time I was done I pretty much changed everything, lol, but not much. Now I have a flashy gt500 of my own, painted in "Black Venom" (from Lamberghini)' with blue chrome rims. :)
However, I am EXTREMELY happy with these final settings, I hope you will be too.

Ok, first let me explain WHY I have been screwing with this. I look, and it seems everyone is having issues with this car. Even the tunes posted all have comments in and around them about how this car is broken, ect. So, I decided to do a few unconventional methods and give it a try.
First thing I noticed, was this car seems to love mid-speed, and perform crappy in high end conditions. Lucky for us, we have tracks like Apricot hill, ect, that don't require high speed. So, instead of trying to make this what it's not, I tried to make it what it is.
Is it perfect? He'll no. I don't think the word perfect is going to come near this car no matter WHO tunes it, lol. But with this set up, I was able to overtake others well, and the mid gears love to exelerate a little faster then the competition. I did have to adjust my driving style to IT, with the issues it has, and the issues with gt6's MR cars.
First up, when coming out of a corner, the use of "double tap" accel throws that fat a$$ just right to get it pointing where you want it. Then your golden. When on higher speed corners, letting off the accel button and double tapping it when you start to go wide serves the same purpose. You want to do as much "turning" at low low speeds as you can, as your turn ability as it gets into 3-4th gears drops drastically.
This is the best I could do. It is useable. Actually, it's a decent ride, just don't drive it like its a supercar. And learn how to throw that heavy a$$ around to get it to point where you want it, and your golden.

On this car, I used traction control 1, asm, abs 1, srf.
Why? Because it's a tuning tool just like LSD. So many people are set in their ways on driving options, I believe they forgot that it IS a tuning tool. You don't HAVE to use the same settings on every car, lol. Especially when you get a car like this that everyone thinks is "broken", if they let you change the weight of your drivers helmet, you'd better consider it, lol.
Good luck.
Do I think it's broken?
Well, from an Audi, that is in the r8 LMS class, I expected ALOT more from it. So it is highly possible they did mess up somewhere it the details of this one.

Tested using active steering mild/ TC=1/ asm/ abs=1/ srf.
You can change those to your liking, but I advise at least TC=1 and abs=1, this is a heavy powerhouse, lol.

Changes on the right of dampers, front spring rate, and initial torque are from Feydrautha, for if you decide to go with TC off.
--------------------------

Few things about this car, first, it isn't really a car, it's a high powered sniper rifle. When you get to the apex, and your pointing the car, make sure the direction your pointing is a place you really want to be, because your going there in a friggin hurry, lol. After tuning, this car handles much like the z28 Camaro race car '69 does, only this has power the Camaro has never heard of. If you respect the power, and respect the weight when braking, this car will do whatever you want it to. It has torque to handle other cars, and just to laugh as you pass, some joker decided to add nitrous to it, lol. I also like the fact you can drift using the weight to your advantage in this car. The more you drive it, the more it melds to your style.

Have fun ^^ hope this helps

This car is fun, as it was in gt5. She is very agile, but packs a 647hp punch as well.
She has some oversteer very present, and that's exactly how it's designed. It takes
a lap or 2 to get used to the amount, but once you see it, it becomes a tool in your
Arsenal instead of a hindrance. Very good at some of those high speed turning maneuvers
That most cars cant pull off without serious deceleration first. VERY fun car ^^

Hey, I tried out your tune for this car. This thing is a total slingshot! Ride that torque! I just love taking corners in a higher gear or short shifting and just enjoying the torque and traction. Love it! I found that the following tweaks helped me with turn in and traction. The car is totally drivable with only abs on! Let me know what you think!

Damper extension
4 5

Front spring rate
25.46

Brake balance
3 2

Initial torque

Updated settings on the ford GT '05

I've been working on this car constantly. It is a lot better now. Still has some work to do, but the in/out through apex is really nice now, the car still can't drive in the rain though, lol. So avoid races with weather.
The speed and transmission I am VERY happy with.

I tried working the car into a 50/50 weight dis set up, but it doesn't work. You need the rear heavier for 2 reasons; 1- so the rear tires plant faster for grip, and 2- so you can utilize 'drifting' around higher speed corners by throwing the ass out just a bit, to get the nose pointing correctly. But 44/56 was way too much, I settled on 46/54. Seems more stable, and only lowered the power by a tiny amount to hit the 650pp goal.

More to come, still tweaking.
Taking a break for a different car though, need a fresh head to Finnish this one.

This car actually handles very very we'll. It IS a muscle car, so you have to respect the weight and power of it, but compared to say, the 1970 Challenger, this has much more handling. It is very responsive, I personally would tap the Nitro button for no longer then just to reach around 70mph coming from corners and such. There is no need after that. Just to help the car get to speed, after 70mph, the cars engine more then handles everything on its own.
I was very surprised by this one. I enjoy this one.

Couple things; 1st, if you bought this car thinking this was the r-34 TC from GT5, you are wrong. The version from GT5 had way more balls, and response. This is a great car, don't get me wrong, I think maybe the issue is that the gt5 version might have been a little stronger then it was meant. So maybe they 'fixed' it in a bad way, lol.
2nd, don't let that discourage you, this is still a cool car. Just remember your basic driving rules. If you hit the gas before your apex, even slightly, your going to need to recover. If you hit it right, your golden. Just be aware of that apex point a little more then you would normally.

(This is around 215mph, it will go faster on speed tracks, but setting the final to match it creates way too much power for use under 200mph. Had to curb the beast a bit, lol.)

Since my friend Feydrautha decided to do the Charger, I actually decided I would put mine off, and do another Powerhouse from the classic cars. I used this car in GT5 a LOT and actually had to get a few of them, as I put over 400,000 miles on them. (Some came with high mileage, some didn't) this is just like the other power cars I've done, RESPECT the weight and power, and you have a controlled beast, don't, and you won't, lol.

Lol! I had the same idea and ended up doing the challenger instead. Drove the Pozzi Camaro- I was expecting this car to be a total torquenstein like the red devil, but it was surprisingly docile. You have it dialed in pretty nicely, good traction on corner exits!

I needed a car that was going to be reliable from 450pp-to-600pp-ish.
Any help and advice from the pro-tuners is very welcomed. But for the rest, this is at the very least a great setting list to base from if not more. (Good Luck)

I find this more understeer than over

Using controller or wheel?
I had just the right amount on controller.
ill bring her grinding in the morning and take another look

Ok, I saw what you meant. If you didn't leave the apex absolutely perfect for this car, it will understeer. It's more of a driving style, some people ram into corners, some come soft, some even, and some burn out, come out clean, or even drift out, lol. No matter.

Change your LSD to this;
5/7
5/5
8/8
And your torque distributing to 15/85

That will give you exactly what your looking for

Transmission;
Final to 5.500
Max speed to 124 mph
Gears;

2= 2.664
3= 2.038
4= 1.681
5= 1.414
6= 1.223
Then Final to 2.750
(This has room for drafting)

What can I say? This car out performed the more expensive cars of its class in GT5, and low and behold, this car once again is an absolute dream to drive. You tell it to go right, it goes right, you say left, it goes left, you tell it to make you a sandwich, it puts subway to shame.
For those who see the downforce and think maybe you should max it, don't. My downforce settings, although kinda neat (333/444) are exactly where they need to be. Any more, and your just slowing yourself down and adding oversteer, so don't touch it, lol. Again, handles like a dream. Highly recommend buying this and using it for your 650 battles.
