I think my favorite is actually the 3rd gen. Which is funny, because I absolutely hated it when it first came out. :P

I have the third and 5th (the one with a camera) and my third gen one is bullet proof :D I shot it out of a clay pigeon trap about 5 times and its still going strong just the memory is too small on it so I upgraded to 16gb 5th

I like this one the most...:P

The 4th Generation Original iPod 20GB is where its at!

It's bulletproof, quite literally and saved a solders life.

Pretty sure this thread is about the Nanos only... :P

Never owned a Nano myself... Got a 4th Gen 64 GB Touch.

I had/still have a 3rd gen 8GB ;). Although.. I didn't read the votes correctly and voted for the second gen. :( It's a great thing though.

The 3rd Gen was my first iPod and has lead me in to the Apple franchise. So now, it's iPhone, iPad, iMac.

I used to have a black 1st gen 2GB from which I upgraded into a black 2nd gen 8GB, especially the latter has been just about flawless. It's four years old now and still gives a good 25+ hours of music on one charge. I wonder if I should get a 4th gen 8GB example, just as a backup as the 2nd gen can't last forever, now when our local supermarket still has them...

I tried, but failed miserably.

...

I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you aren't utterly retarded but are instead an individual of slightly below-average intelligence using a computer for the very first time.

If you see a thread called something like "The Epic iPod Nano Rating Chart" and you don't care about it, generally you avoid entering it by not clicking on it. Hope that helps you be more successful the next time you want to avoid a thread about something you don't care about. :)

Aw, That's not nice.

I think the first time I touched a computer, was the same time you still dumped your doodoo in a training potty.

All that for wondering where the extra poll option is. You Apple people aren't the nicest of the bunch.

Touché.

In all honesty, there isn't such a poll option because this thread is meant for people who do like iPods. If you don't, that's cool, but nobody here cares. So troll elsewhere, ok?

I loved my 5th gen but replacing it with a thicker touch screen model was stupid. Went for the touch and jailbroke it so I can use hotkeys.

There is no need for the arguing guys. The thread is clearly about the Nano and it's discussion, if you having nothing to add to the discussion, then don't post.

Isn't jailbreaking illegal

Apple has in the past claimed it is illegal as it breaks their DRM however I'm not sure anyone has actually been prosecuted or if Apple has even made an effort to enforce it.

Jailbreaking a phone is not purely for the purpose of illicit behavior, it opens up functionality that is at present restricted on the device such as file management. I have read somewhere in the past that in 2010 there was a ruling in the US which has legalized jailbreaking the device.

I own the 4th gen, and its terrible. I honestly wish I hadn't fried my Sansa Fuze. The Nano's hold switch doesn't work half the time and the rewind/previous button doesn't work sometimes either. And also, battery life is crap.. at least with the Sansa it was consumer serviceable and replaceable.

I got my girlfriend a 16GB 6th Gen for her Birthday and it's a pretty neat bit of kit.
