just go straight to the touge, it's the best fun in this game. Put your money into your drift car, set it up right, and you'll be sliding away. I think the RX7 you win is a really good drift car, thats what I used to get that kansen dorifuto! still takes skill to use right techniques though, and know when and where to use them.

I highly recommend that Blue C-west RX-7 for drift challenges. :)

How much is it?

The cost of a rental and a blank dvd, or if ur really slick u can rapidshare it and only pay for the dvd...not that "I" would do that :sly: Haven't played it much hoping it will be cool tho.

Anyone else having trouble linking drifts? I have been tweaking my mods to my car in order to see what effect they have...and I cannot find one that works well enough to allow me to link drifts.
The cars in this game have turning ratio's of a horse and buggy...

Also i found that I can drift better with grip tires, you can actually get a feel of the road instead of just endlessly sliding into corners. I can drift corners at higher speeds and regulate my angle much better than I can with drift tires.

In all the game has me frustrated in the drift department..

I link corners pretty decently, how much hp are you running and what tires level are you using?

Im running a s13 with the engine swap and an exhaust..something like 314hp. I was using level 3(?) drift tires, but currently running level 2 grips and seem to be working better...

Ideas?

I drift fine in gt4 even able to do links...nfsu2 I killed it and D1gp I finished in a week. I dont understandy why im not grasping this very well.

There is no clutch in the game. There IS a clutch kick thing though.

I rented it. We just got it in the US? apparently.

I'm at 65% with a total of 8 hours of play at the very maximum. I have a Skyline that hits 228mph. Cool game.

I got the game yesterday and have about 10 hours in.

So far I'm at 28% completion. 5 of that 10 hours was modifying a 180sx to look like my Yokomo in the paint shop.

Now it looks exactly like this:

All the words are different but they look identical and the body kit is the exact same.

Anyways, yeah, I'm addicted to how good the tuning is in this game. If only NFS were so good.

Anyways here's a short review:
PRO's Tuning is perfect, I love it, graphics are good, a mix of TXR 3 and TXR drift and D1GP, Sounds are very good and add a nice detail, game feels very authentic to the movie and real life in a perfect combination. Clutch kick, good touge tracks, fun wangan racing.

CON's No 900* support for DFP, only one layout for the DFP and it blows hardcore, I mean sucks worse than you could believe, you have to use R2/L2 to shift for god sakes...:dunce: The physics are good for wangan and gripping, but very "skiddish" and uncontorllable for drifting. The game still has autocorrective steering no matter what settings you use. You have to pause to change veiws, no quick race mode, saving takes a LONG time and it does it at every button press, and finally, a few glitches. If you install tireflies, you cannot uninstall them, only change color, same goes for NOS purge, sometimes it freezes at the ROBO Garage.

But the fact of how fun it is wins over alot of those cons.

Graphics: 8/10
Physics: 5/10
Tuning: 10/10
Sound: 9/10
Playability: 7/10

Overall: 8/10

Note: this game with NFS U2 Physics and DFP compatability and layout would be a perfect game. END OF STORY.

lol. Those ricer valve stem LED lights. I put them on just for giggles and then found they can't come off, even if you sell them they still light up your wheels....:dunce: I had to start over to get rid of them. (I had only done a few races at the time)

this game doesn't support the G25... at all!?! it starts up and does it callibrating thing but it doesn't respond to ANY buttons or anything you do at all! What a rip, it supports the DFP but not the G25:( Even SRS suported my G25? WTF!

Well, I have to rebuttle my speak of the "skiddish" drift physics. I have gotten used to it now and this is a vid of me link drifting it up at Doushie Touge.

This game rocks. The tuning is far better then NFSU and NFSC. Loving it, i currently have a fully tuned 89' silvia and a 99 Skyline GTR, i will show pics of them later.

The car customizing and the paint/vinyl are cool along with the online modes.

Other than that, I wasnt that impressed. Still a fun game though.

If anyone wants to hook up look for ZDRIVER online. I have a headset.

I got a question:

When do you unlock the Shelby GT 500 (Newer one) and the Mustang GT-R Concept? Thanks in advance:)

Thats some good drifting for this game indeed. I had it on my hd but deleted it because i just got tired of the crappy physics the game had. This makes me want to load the iso back on so i can play it again. How did you have your car setup?

What, wait, since when did F&F arrive on the PS2?
I heard about this and waited, and waited, and waited until I finally gave up. And now I realise it's come and gone. Ohwell, tough luck.

But seriously though, how is the Honda NSX? I would suspect that would be enjoyable to modify. And is the modification factor more in-depth than that of NFS Carbon?
