I think this is my final time here. I have done T1 two tenths faster, but most of my laps today were two tenths slower than this one.

I'm about to give up on Lago Maggiore. At this combo all of my weaknesses come into play. Throttle control (I'm talking to you elevation change through T4), hitting apexes (all of them) and modulating breaking just right (T5, T6 into the esses and especially the final turn). There are just too many of these difficulties throughout this lap for me to string a proper one together.

One nitpick I have here that happens from time to time in some TTs is that the initial acceleration zone when restarting is too short and therefore you have to take the final turn differently then you would at the end of a proper lap.

Remaining 3 are all relatively safe golds at least.

I know someone who uses the directional cross and the four buttons as with the PS1, and he is faster than me 😅

Is it you? Complete madness. 😂

Little by little I managed to shave a few tenths off my time at Eiger. The Stratos is an interesting car, it's understeering until it's not, it's smooth as butter when it slides, and the engine is quite a pleasure to listen to. Most of my time is being lost around the sweeping left passing the pit lane entrance. It's tough to get the weight transfer juuuuust right so that the car dives in but doesn't nick the inside wall. I'm exercising all the restraint I can, but I'm still either too aggressive or too timid on that turn, or maybe I'm turning too soon on the approach. This is my best effort but I still feel I can eke out an additional tenth or two here. I'll watch the top replays and see what I can put together

Curious, have you tried using tc at maggiore? Also you mentioned modulating braking into the esses, may at most you tap thr brake......at most, just to aid turn on, no modulation. Faster guys are just lifting, no brake.

I was clueless for the first few laps and made a few schoolboy errors but it wasn't long until I got some clean laps together in this fun little car. It may not accelerate like a scolded cat but it definitely has the agility of one. It's purrfect perfect for this tight track.

So, after scoring another Gold medal on that Clio Time Trial, I had to give the Stratos a try:

Gran Turismo™ 7_20250920182327.webp

After some 25 laps on the mountain, I'm really close to the 1:16.
The first few laps were a complete misery... as we all know too well, the Stratos isn't the easiest car to throw around the corners, and Eiger does have some pretty hard, tricky corners... especially the ones on the final sector.

But after spending some time with it, things started to make more sense (kind of), of course watching Tidgney's guide was a tremendous help.

Some people might say controller players might have the edge on this one, I'm not so sure... keeping the weight transfer under control is vital here, so the way I see it, wheel users might have access to some important feedback that controller users simply don't. As good as my DS4 controller might be, it simply doesn't give me enough "feel" to keep the sway of this car in check.

I doubt I'll improve my time here much more than this, this time the gold bracket seems to be slightly out of reach for me, and that's ok... can't win them all anyway, it was a fun Time Trial most of the time, when I managed to keep the car pointing the right direction  even pulled off some sideways action every now and then!

Hi folks!

Back in the NSX today, god it’s tough to drive quickly even though it’s got so much grip, the punishment for any slight over input on the steering is massive like most high downforce cars so on a fast flowing track like this it’s a real challenge to get the car sitting in that knife edge groove of grip

Just sitting behind forum fast-boi @Metalgear9493 aaaand I completely forgot about brake bias, should I be adjusting that for a fast time!??

Anyways, my top 100 streak might be over lol. This is tough

Morning folkieeess!

Had a little run again in the Stratos, it grows a bit on me as i had more faster laps this morning.
Most of the time i have little stints of about 10-ish laps and if i invalidate i just quit en restart 😂
It's fun, but also frustrating, cause each session my optimals are in the mid .8's without a solid sector so technically there is even more time to find but again....inconcistency here is my nemesis 😂

Managed to scrape very little time off but around 9 places worldwide ☹️🧐😂

But there is more in the tank, i'll try my best 😂

Still a very descent time buddy!
I know i have to go back at it, but it's going to take ages again to re-know the car...
and i just can't drag myself into it 😂😂
I did my run also without knowing we could bias our way throuw, but i don't know if it realy would make a difference..
And... the topguys's laps are realy something else on this one..
But come on mate...132?? ..... you s**k ! 😂🥰

I was finally able to put together a good time here after struggling in my 2 prior sessions. The track limits are hilarious because you can get away with a LOT and still be in the clear. I won't be improving unless I absolutely have to because this time trial hasn't been fun for me. The car is horrible in the slow corners.

So, my brain is already speculating what will be the next challenge....
I'm hammering the Stratos until thursday morning, and then we are up for something new!...

I'll throw in my wild guess...., Tsukuba - Wet - Miata (update car) ? 😁 😁 😂

Car.. probably something in Franz Hermann style :)

Busy times here:
I'm late to drive the TTs
I'm late to read the forum
(I'm also late to brake most of the times, BTW....)
and multiple TTs are not helping, even though they are more than wellcome

However:
Lago Maggiore I struggled a bit there to use all the downforce and speed of the car. I flirted a lot with the silver-bronze threshold before reaching this. Overall position (which is problably >20K by now) is not really satisfaying

1758556933257.webp

Suzuka:
mmmhhh, mixed feelings... I could rewrite what's above, but given the masterclass circuit alleviates a bit the pain.
My sector best is well within the gold, but all the concatenation in the snake, the "restart" at the hairpin, and the @#@# spoon (still not digested no matter the car), make it really hard to put everything in a row
1758557095697.webp

Monza:
possibly the easiest of the 4 TTs for me. That was not for granted. Monza is a quite easy circuit. Monza without the firt dice-roll chicane is even easier. So before starting I was guessing: "let's see how a fast car in the hands of aliens will punish my personal beast". It didn't go as espected, and I'm happy I was wrong
1758557325950.webp

Eiger:
Some struggle at the beginning, I wouldn't have done it without @Tidgney ( THANKS!!!! ). His comments in the video made me approach the uphill esses the right way. I'm not I'd been able to understand it on my own.
I'm not sure the gold will stay, but so far so good.

I scrolled quite quickly the pages, will read it later, but according to the pictures I see that the gtplanet folks delivered again!

Finally managed gold in the NSX. Easily 500 km at this combo for me. Unlike the recent 2000 HP at Laguna Seca this was actually fun though. Chasing this gold may have made me a tiny bit of a better driver too.

I am trying to force myself to look ahead and judge corners while approaching them rather than just looking in front of my bumper and trying to hit breaking points like a robot. That approach just doesn't work at this track since there are so many breaking zones that call for a measured approach to the break pedal rather than just stomping on it.

First 14 red laps out of 15 (please don't ask me what I'm doing) for an optimum barely in gold. Then started another session and got into gold within two laps.

@zjn , this is fascinating, I cannot fathom how you cannot get gold at either LM or Suzuka but smash the gold barrier for Eiger! Funny how different cars suit us each differently.
It's maybe i have a slow cpu?!?

Seriuos answer: i think i struggle to find the adherence limit with high tier tyres or high downforce cars. Worst scenario for me is aero+race tyres+mid speed corner. I guess

I just tried the Honda NSX Concept-GT @ Lago Maggiore Full Course, and got a time of around 1:43.6xx which is 4.80% off the top. I'm really hoping my silver-worthy time will stick until this Sunday morning when this one expires. Oh, and I also did the Porsche 962 @ Monza without the chicane, and got a much safer silver time that's just a little bit out of the gold threshold.

It’s been a couple of weeks again since I was on GT or even looking at this forum. I came back to find three TT to do. I was a little rusty. Out of the three I found Eiger to be the worst. I couldn’t get that until I watched at @Tidgney guide. Thanks man!

Now, I think I’m safe for all.

I actually used the M6 for the first half of my session as @Gomario JSP and @Barareklam used it for their laps in a sea of RCFs. My best time with the M6 was a 1:59.851 and I could've called it there but I wanted to know what the Lexus was like because my brother abandoned it in favour of the Audi R8 LMS. He said that the Lexus was too heavy and lacked front grip. While this may be true, the Lexus is the better overall package and I laid down this time before going to bed. Not bad for one my one and only session here. I guess I'm not soo bad after all.

Just managed that. Prior to starting, I had a look at the qualifying times for the 2019 Suzuka 10 Hour and said to myself "OK, I'll go for a time that would put me at least in the top 5 for this race" and when I look at the combo, the gold is 2:01.006 so that motivates me abit more. First attempt, I could only manage Silver with a 2:01.6. (Abit shaky first few laps before I got abit comfortable). Second attempt I was getting too greedy with 130R lap after lap (Either spinning to the inside wall or outside wall). 3rd attempt however, I pushed very hard while cleaning up some of my lines and managed that time (Which would put me second in the real race)

Proud of myself for pushing the hardest I've ever pushed in that Audi R8 (Something I would've avoided like the plague back in Sport)

Now for that Monza Time Trial..

Morning addicts,

A little closer to a .8xx at Eiger but ofcourse not quite there yet 😂😂
My first corner was kind of bad as i even had the time to give a throttle in 2nd gear but the "b*lls of steel" corner after that was kind of rewarding with this major slide 😂, it sort of saved my S1 a bit, altho fastest S1 this morning was a .638 so there's a tenth alone in S1

And for the second hairpin section i went in to deep, i was just to late on the brakes, i could square it of like nothing happened but it was def. slower 🧐😂, but still got across the line in .902
Very frustrating as i had little time.

Well... not to shaabyyy at all 😂

Nice job!, not to bad for a first session!

Yeah i found the M6 ok-ish to drive, it is kind of predictable with it's high weight but i didn't try other cars, 4 TT's is overload for my brain, i already have a problem sticking with the normal two and be focused 😂 😂

Yep, 4 time trials are more than enough to keep us busy. I really want to take my earnings now...

Yeah, tried RCF too but M6 felt better for me. Left few tenths on the table since there is not time for 4 TTs and life all together :D
