I guess the GT is just faster in the high gears, but it was close. Stick around for the end to see a cool photo of the photo finish !

The exhaust adds power, as does the air filter, and racing tyres add loads of extra grip. No wonder it's a Ferrari slayer...My Ford was Stock ! all I did was add an Exhaust and changed the air filter. That's not exactly tuned. And of course, there were racing tires.
Yeah, that'll never happen...

But the definition of stock is straight out of the factory with the parts that the factory installed. Nothing aftermarket. Yes, ok, maybe the GT might beat the regular 430 but thats not what you were testing. Your video showed A Ford GT, a 430 Scuderia racing around an oval. Thats not testing anything major like cornering, its only test speed and the other problem is that the Ford GT was not stock. The 430 Scuderia may be not a stock 430, but its a car that comes out of the factory like that therefore making it stock.
That fact deserves a sad face bigger than that.No dragons are real though![]()
I really feel the 458 can do better than that.
Good video, good lines 👍
Edit: It does. Fully stock Sports softs fitted Italia 2:08.141
Holy mighty torque, Ford GT: 2:07.794.
Your findings are just about right. But Ford GT seems like a tire eater, I got red front tires here and there, when the 458 kept the tires on the right temp most of the time.
Not quite sure I agree with the idea that the Ford GT has ASM reversed. I tried using it, and I could feel it working when it was on.
Fumes posted this on the tuning forum the other day. He's saying Ford GT is actually messed up, in that if you have ASM set to off, with Ford GT it is actually on. So if you have ASM off on all cars, with Ford GT you need to actually switch it on to have the same settings as the other cars. And vice versa. Might have some effect?
